  1. Jason Lake Canfora just said that the talks with Pitta are progressing well and he wouldn't be surprised if Pitta is signed soon or shortly after the tag date.

    just saw that too.

Wouldn't be shocked at all if the Ravens were able to extend TE Dennis Pitta prior to the franchise window closing, or shortly thereafter

If BAL had to franchise Pitta to buy time, so be it. But progressing enough that resolving it prior to grievance over tag looks promising

Ravens have a great gap still to bridge with LT Eugene Monroe, and those talks are ongoing as well

  2. Yea thats why I said in my original post that I wonder if we will cut Sam Koch, Jameel Mcclain, or Vonta Leach. I would think leach is a sure thing to be cut because it seems like we are set on using Juice as our Hback, maybe we are waiting on cutting Mcclain until after we see the fate of Daryl Smith. Im sure there will still be some notable cuts by other teams too, the Cowboys for example are 20M over the cap and will likely have to cut Damarcus Ware, Miles Austin and a few other players to get back into the positives.

yeah tough break for Demarcus ware ,man great pass rusher hey would he want to come on a certain team that coulde use his service lol.

  3. Lets just hope Eugene Monroe's player rep meets with Ozzie this weekend and starts hammering out a deal. I keep hearing that our guys also don't want to let Pitta hit the open market and are considering franchise tagging him. Maybe with this boost in cap space we could get them both, but you would think the best case scenario would be one or the other.

As long as we resign Monroe and grab one of either Pitta, Daryl Smith, or Art Jones I will be content.

oh Monroe agent and the ravens already started talking yesterday  and will continue through out the combine because all agents will be there. and update the ravens have meetings with Jace  Amaro and Eric Ebron tonight.

  5. Or more likely the Ravens deny Kubiak permission to take Dennison and promote him to OC. I think there is a reason he'll be the QB coach. Also the Ravens are a smart organization, if Kubiak's name starts to buzz I don't think they'll just allow all the guys who help build this offense to just walk out the door. There will be far too many coaches who will be able to teach this system, QB, WR, TE and RB coaches will probably be added and allow will bring be able to teach and run this offense in some type of capacity. So we'll have a OC in place should Kubiak get a HC job next year.

Also remember Dennison was getting some buzz this time last year as a HC candidate, so even if he is promoted to OC next year, it might only be a one year thing. I think we'll see some young coaches added as position coaches or offensive assistants to learn this system from Kubiak.

I think one thing that is going to be underrated with Dennison is he a Former O-line coach so he teaches how to make calls at the line for the center and the rest of the O-line and help them block which he will help Flacco with the right checks and audibles and O-line adjustments that he needs to make in game. i think thats one way Dennison can really help out flacco Greatly!

Dont know if anyone posted this yet but its some good insight on Kubiak that should be encouraging. Any chance we can pick up Winston?

In a Interview with WNST he said if Arizona doesn't sign him back He would love to reunite with Kubak in Baltimore.
