If we can draft Jack" of all trades" we will okay at ILBer....

I would love this move, but I think he will be gone by 6

I dunno if this would be a popular move considering he'll sit out all season and from what I've heard he might not be able to be the same player, but I am so sold on Jaylon Smith's talent that I would be happy for us to toss our second round pick at him just for the chance to have him eventually suit up for us. He's Myles Jack and more. My pipe dream: if we can't get Bosa/Ramsey/Tunsil/Jack with the 6 pick, trade back and grab an extra second round pick so we can invest one in Smith.

  2. Man, Will Hill is so talented. I remember talking to my Giants-fan buddy about this up and coming rookie who was lighting it up at safety. His athleticism and talent was so evident any time he took the field, neither of us understood how he went undrafted. Then the suspensions started coming in, and he would eventually fall out of favor with the Giants and sign with Baltimore. I really hoped it'd give him some perspective and that he'd turn his career around as he is clearly so capable of doing. Such a shame man, between him, Josh Gordon, and Justin Blackmon we have seen some really incredible talent fall victim to something as frivolous as smoking marijuana.

I really wish this guy all the best in the future, I know Ravens fans won't forget the kick-six any time soon. And how fun would it be for the Browns to get Gordon back? That dude is a generational level talent, I'm talking Calvin Johnson/Dez Bryant/Julio Jones level.

  3. I like the Watson pick up, having a high character veteran at the tight end spot will be immensely helpful for our young TEs, and he can definitely still make some moves himself. It's a two year deal, the offense is still getting younger and faster long term, but a short term mentor will be great. Between him, Flacco, Forsett, Steve, and Yanda we've got a leader in the locker room at every position on offense.

  4. I'm personally not an FSU fan by any stretch of the imagination, but man I'd love to have Jalen Ramsey on our team. He'd be a natural fit with Jernigan and Brooks and we desperately need a playmaking corner. If we can resign Osemele before the draft, or if negotiations even look promising, and we miss out on Ramsey I would not be opposed to trading down and looking at Treadwell or Hargreaves somewhere down the board.

  5. I can't help but wonder if John wrote this article with the intention of throwing some fuel on the fire for Ravens fans to be involved with this game. Ravens-Steelers is still the best rivalry in the NFL, every game we play against them has some level of importance to it. This was a playoff matchup last year, and usually a playoff spot is on the line though I will concede it might be a wild-card spot with the way Cincy has played the last few years. Even this year, our worst year in a decade, beating the Steelers gave us our first win of the season and now we have a chance to spoil their playoff bid, and I know I would love nothing more than to see that. New England makes fans of every other team's blood boil, but nothing brings more animosity up in my hear than seeing their uniforms and logo.

  6. I'mn afraid the signing of Mallett anbd Schaub not going on IR means Renner is out... No way we'll keep 4 QB's on the roster for long...

I always have a soft spot for guys who perform well in the preseason, the game last week was rough but it was at least nice to see Daniel Brown make some plays. I hoped Renner would get a shot as well, but I have the same fear as you.

  7. Man, I am going to reiterate my distaste for Ryan Mallett, he's selfish and a bad teammate and has been for a long time. Also, I want Steve Smith to retire because I am just too nervous for him if he does return. A 36 year old man who just tore his Achilles needs to think about what being a 50 or 60 year old man is going to be like. The injuries he already has had are gonna take a toll later in life man, he doesn't need to make it worse. He should spend time with his family and enjoy the fact that he one of the best in NFL history, why risk another concussion or a torn/broken/lacerated body part? Is this Ravens team really a Super Bowl contender next year? But hey, Steve is a good dude, and if he comes back best believe I'll have him on my fantasy football team next year.
