Donald Payne is gonna make the 53 man roster! Central Florida looks so good in purple in black, as we already know. He'll ball out on special teams this year, and next year he'll be a dark horse to start in Orr's spot.
I'm glad the Bengals drafted Mixon, I think 90% of my least favorite players in the NFL all play for Cincy. Makes it easier to know who to boo at. I will always see the Steelers as our biggest rivals but the Bengals have become my least favorite team. An inept front office combined with a bunch of dirty players.
Hey so, been thinking about it, but wouldn't Humphrey's yards per completion stat be inflated because of his prowess in the short game? If guy A lets everything be caught and then tackles the guy while guy B only lets things be caught down the field, then guy A has the move favorable yards per completion average, but isn't necessarily a better cornerback.
Or maybe he's just trash? I dunno.

forgot we signed him at the end of the season, really pulling for him to make it and we could sure use a slot receiver.
I've been thinking about it, and I think this pick will be great for us. Love his physicality at the line of scrimmage. Maybe he'll need a little extra safety help over the top , but word on the street is that he completely shuts down the short passing game. I think every player on our defense is widely regarded for their ability to stop the run. If nothing else, in 2017 the Ravens are gonna be hitting other teams in the mouth. Good.
Does any other GM in the NFL have such an infatuation with a college more than Ozzie with Alabama?
I'm begging to get tired of it. I feel like he has blinders on.Pretty idiotic post to be honest. We have a grand total of 2 players from bama on our roster including Marlon. everybody wants to throw a fit when we don't draft their guy smh.
You still feeling that way after they picked up the flyer on Tim Williams. Look, I'm not saying that isn't a bad place to get talent. But we had OJ Howard on the board at #16. He would have been the right pick. Humphrey is known for getting beat deep. Ozzie had the blinders on, period.
you mean OJ Howard from... Alabama?
This is gonna be yet another guy we'll point to in a few years when we're talking about how good Ozzie is at finding quality o-linemen on the 3rd day of the draft. I really, really like this kid and I think he will be our LG by the time we play Cincy.
what's been up with Keenan Reynolds? Anybody know?
Let the defense carry the offense. Was a rookie wide receiver going to turn the offense around overnight? We've got some competition on the o-line, RB situation is fine, TEs are above average too. My guess is we're gonna bring in Mangold sooner than later, and then I think our offense looks good enough to be carried by the defense and Tuck's leg. Just like the good ol' days. I'm down.
I mean... Trent Dilfer won a super bowl behind a really dope defense right? Anquan can be this year's Shannon Sharpe lol
Maybe we go defense because of all the games we gave away in the 4th Q the
last two years. Was the defense not the offense. Do away with your short memories.
truth.
You could definitely tell that every pick leading up to the Ravens selection in the 3rd was just completely decimating the Ravens offensive board. When Tennessee drafted up to take the Western Kentucky receiver right in front of us, I know the Ravens had him circled for sure. But that 2nd round... we pass on JuJu and then he goes to Pittsburgh of all places... that one stung.
dude's only 20 years old and has no pressure to be a starter (except from fans). He'll grow into his body and be really solid for us in a couple seasons. Just like the guy he has been compared to, Jimmy Smith.
I mean... yeah this pick makes sense, I was pulling for Foster lol. But hey, if he can play at a first round level for us, then I say welcome aboard. Our secondary is looking nasty, everybody back there likes to hit and be physical. We will for sure be the #1 run defense this year.
Quincy Jones in the 2nd would be great. No matter how this draft shakes out, I think our 2nd round pick will be the one that makes or breaks this draft for us.
I'm not saying this is a good or smart idea, but if Solomon Thomas fell to the Titans at 5, it'd be fun to see the Ravens make a move for him. I think whoever picks that kid up will be getting an absolute stud.
Anyone ever notice that Eric DeCosta always looks like someone is about to ask him about a crime he was a suspect for many years ago?
Is it Thursday yet?
I've been on the Reuben Foster to Baltimore train since right around the combine, and it's picking up even more steam now! That'd be the best 1st round pick I can imagine, dude is one of the top 5 defensive players in the whole draft. If we can get him and Juju in rds. 1 and 2 and then Pocic and Sidney Jones with our two 3rd round picks, I will be ecstatic. And honestly, at this time, all of that seems genuinely attainable.
no thanks on foster in the first round same thing happened to TJ an we got him in the second but if we don't hit a home run with at least 4 guys in the draft people saying we going 9-7 10-6 11-5 if we don't put a good O-Line in front of joe and give him some young weapons it really don't matter how good our D is if joe can't get us in kicking distance we can't score
P.S Go WizardsWe got TJ in the Second? That's news.
He's talking Jernigan, not Jefferson
51 minutes ago, axisofeeble said:"IF POSSIBLE" can Ozzie trade Flacco, our 16th pick for Brown's #1! picks, then sign Kapernick or even Cutler as stopgap till next year's QB rich draft? #1 PASS RUSHER,CB at 33?
Myles Garrett would be a pretty dope addition, our D would be truly fearsome. But replacing Flacco with Kap/Cutler... that's just a nightmare.
Very sad news to hear, there are not many days my thoughts are with Steelers Nation but today is one of them.
I really hope we don't trade back much at all in this draft, it is loaded and we have 4 picks in the top 100. Should be 4 potential starters with the quality there.

Now how does that trade look?
not in this draft bro, teams are treating picks like gold. pick 16+ pick 74 = pick 12/13

Tim Williams has a six year old daughter at 23 years old? What are you doing failing drug tests my dude? Now that his paycheck and family's well being is on the line, my guess is that he will stay away from stupid decisions. Like he said, don't be one of those dads who has to give their kids an excuse.
