  1. More like "the XX Factor"
  2. Hey, can anybody think of a more complete team in the AFC? People say this is Indy's year, but we've got a better defense and an offense that ought to be able to at least keep pace. The only teams that worry me this year are the Colts, Steelers, and Bengals. If we win the division, the sky is the limit this year. 25/1 odds for us to win the super bowl this year, place your bets Ravens fans. Gotta love that June optimism!
  3. what a strange way to use a beer pong table
  4. I don't think it will all that much. I feel the same way about the front office as I do about the players; Baltimore has established a mindset and a philosophy when it comes to how football is run down here so there's a precedent set for people to hold themselves to when they are brought into the system. The organization is bigger than any one person inside of it, and the people we bring in understand that immediately or they buy into it quickly.
  5. So, barring injury (knock on wood) it doesn't seem like we have any major holes on this team anymore, apart from maybe the strong safety position. We at least have someone serviceable or better at every single position. If Matt Elam plays the way he ought to we'll be every bit as good as the 2012 team. Just saying.
  6. With Steve Smith playing out the end of his career and becoming a very influential mentor, there is no way this kid winds up being a dud. Flacco to Perriman sounds like a household name.
  7. Why are people suddenly acting like we didn't need Terrence Brooks when a safety has been our biggest need this entire draft? And hasn't it been the plan the whole time to bolster the meat of the defense after watching Art go to Indy? Then we all wanted Baltimore to snag a dual-threat TE who can block. The pick that makes the least sense is Mosely and we all seemed to love that pick. This is a good draft, we've addressed needs we all knew we were going to address, y'all are just mad the Ravens didn't match up their big board with Mel Kiper or NFL.com.
  8. I remember playing a lot of bad offense and compromising our defense. Not that I'm unhappy with the picks, but I don't think the blame for last year goes on the defense.
  9. Jernigan, Tyson, Williams, Cody, Ngata. We look pretty big up front now.
  10. If Moseley can figure out how to catch the football he'll be great.
  11. All the safeties are gone now, let's hope picking the best player available ends up being the most worthwhile...
  12. I guess he learns behind Daryl Smith a few years and then takes over? It's a curious pick to me, I think I would've been happier with a safety but it's always good to have a dominant linebacker.
  13. Intriguing move. I've always loved Steve Smith and it'll be interesting to see him finish his playing days here in Baltimore. We're right back on track now it looks like.
  14. I wonder if the Ravens are taking a look at Danario Alexander. He can play with the best of them when he's healthy, but his knee hasn't held up for an entire season... He would probably come in cheap, and he's got tons of potential.
  15. Seems like we're setting our sights on Clinton-Dix to me.
  16. haha, most definitely. I guess I just wasn't thinking in terms of retaining players we already had.
  17. I don't see us making a big splash in free agency, if we do go after a receiver i'm hoping for either Golden Tate or Andre Roberts. My guess is the FO is looking at the draft and Daryl Smith right now, not much else.
