  1. So... this game is gonna be a nightmare for the offense. Love that we've been able to keep it together as a team this season, but I just have no faith in Schaub's ability to lead a deficient receiving core over a team like Seattle. I don't know if I'm any more excited about the prospect of Clausen playing, but Schaub just doesn't put our team in position to win games so I am ready to see what someone else can do. To be honest, I'm hoping to see Bryn Renner get some snaps in the last few games.
  2. I was at the game Sunday, and from where I was sitting in the stands I knew as soon as the flag was thrown that they were calling OPI, but I also disagreed with the call immediately. What that camera angle (the only one we are shown here) doesn't show is the extension of Brown's right arm into the Dolphin defender. Upon replay, even at the best angle it was clear that Brown's "interference" has little to nothing to do with the Dolphin defender falling over, or even that it was useful in gaining separation on the play, to me it looked like the defender flopped. But hey, that's the nature of the game now, if we were on defense in that situation we'd show the camera angle that makes it look most blatant and cry that the world was against us too. That call didn't cost us the game, can we talk about bad Schaub actually is?
  3. Matt Schaub is as bad as I feared, noodle-armed and nervous in the pocket.
  4. Yeah because you can totally draft a DE and convert him to OLB without any developmental problems, and game-changing safeties can easily be picked up off the street. Come on man, we've been trying to get safety help for years now, our signings and draft picks just haven't been the answer. We've drafted DEs in almost every draft, we drafted a Safety in the first round not that long ago. This year we drafted an OLB rd 4, last year a DT and Safety in rounds 2 and 3 (our first round pick was an MLB), the year before that we drafted a safety first round. Will Hill looks like our safety of the future. I wanna see them move Webb to safety full time, and draft a talented CB if one is available, and maybe Trey Walker can develop.
  5. Keep up the good fight buddy, hope that tumor is gone for good! You're a very strong and resilient man and I wish you the best. Our team might not be having the best year, but I love this organization making things like this happen, go Ravens!
  6. Ryan Mallett does not play like a Raven, he has always been overly entitled and self-interested. What kind of grown man "misses his teams flight" or "sleeps through his alarm clock" coincidentally following days he gets bad news? What kind of teammate transfers from his college team when he learns he won't be a full-time starter? He may have a strong arm but he makes many mistakes on the field, a QB rating of 67.6 is a joke, and he was unceremoniously dumped by one of the most QB needy teams in the entire NFL. We don't need this distraction in the locker room, I'd rather have Kyle Boller again.
  7. Shame they are benching him over this, I really wanted to see him play against us, he's a fun guy to watch. Seems like his mind is back on football and he has rededicated himself to the sport, he's also not allowed to party on the weekends? The Browns are acting like parents rather than employers, if he is such a negative influence to your team then let him go. I'm still rooting for the Manziel-Jerry Jones connection.
  8. It's tough though, you know, to me I think the NFL made the call it absolutely had to make by forcing players to avoid head to head contact. However, I do agree with you that it is a problem how often players leave games with incredibly serious leg injuries nowadays. I guess injury is just an inherent part of two grown men running into each other at full speed, and I guess the answer could be to attack only the midsection of the body, but can anyone recall a season in which two different players went out with lacerated organs? It's a pick your poison kind of scenario, for my money I would rather a knee injury to myself than a brain/neck/spinal cord injury, though that's not to undermine the life changing impact a knee injury can have.
  9. why are these games always a mess?
  10. lol, you're probably right, seems like Ozzie's MO anyway. Not saying one good pick is gonna turn us around, but I need something to be optimistic about, and it's certainly not anything we're putting on the field right now.
  11. No reason for this comment other than to twist the knife, after our most deflating loss of the season you want to come here and praise our biggest rival? Get out of here.
  12. As an avid Orlando Magic basketball fan, I feel like I can tell you how fans of bad teams stay loyal fans. Once losing becomes expected on a yearly basis, the losses stop hurting and the victories are very sweet. Seeing how bitter fans of teams better than us are when our team beats them is a sadistically enjoyable experience. Other than that, fans of bad teams always believe their team is heading in the right direction, I have the "next year" mentality with the Magic every year, and it always seems like we're putting pieces together to move towards a winning season. This season with the Ravens has been worse than any year of the past few years of cheering for the Magic, because this bad of a season has come out of nowhere. I don't have the same comfort of expecting losses like I do with Orlando, because I know this Ravens team is better than this. Our coaching staff has a pedigree of success, our team is full of players with post-season experience, our leadership base was comprised of well established and respected veterans at the beginning of the year, and our draft seemingly addressed all of our needs coming into the year. This season hurts man, it hurts worse than any season Browns fans have faced in a long, long time.
  13. Make no mistake, Doom did not lose us this game. In fact, he was one of our best defensive players out there for the majority of the game. In order, this loss falls on Joe, Kendrick Lewis, then Jeremy Ross. I still believe in Joe as our franchise QB, and I still love the Ravens, but we just got beat by the Jaguars in OUR stadium! Worst loss I can remember since losing to the 0-13 Dolphins back in 07. What a mess... I'm gonna go look up the top 10 players coming out of college this year, maybe it'll help me feel better knowing we'll get one of them.
  14. booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...
  15. Jacksonville always gives us grief, Blake Bortles is starting to look like a real NFL QB. My prediction is he'll throw 3 TDs against us but our secondary will finally get that INT we've been pining for.
  16. No... Pitta is definitely having a hip issue. Non-contact injuries are not going to make you afraid of the big hit.
  17. We need another bruiser, this team has shown it needs a burner and a scrapper and Breshad certainly has the ability to take defenses over the top. The WR group coming into the draft doesn't really [profanity deleted] away, but if this season doesn't turn around we will have our pick of the litter. Treadwell out of Ole Miss is being compared to Anquan Boldin...
  18. So... back to asking Harbs about Breshad's knee at every possible opportunity right? We NEED you man! Here's hoping that knee has been making progress
  19. I don't think Steve is coming back, shame that he had to end his career like this. But, think about it, he's 36 and just tore his Achilles, his family still needs him and the last thing they want is to see him a year older and even more beaten up. He wants to be with his family too, all the time he is going to be spending with them will make it too hard for him to pull away from them and to put himself through another NFL season. He trained and conditioned as hard as he could to make sure this was his last, but sometimes when you play with house money you just wind up going home with the money you came in with. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, I mean it was one hell of a ride. I appreciate you Smitty, I was skeptical about us signing a 35 year old wide receiver to be Flacco's go-to guy but man, you were all that and more. Loved to watch you play for us, shame it was only a couple of seasons. You earned your retirement, more so than most.
  20. I've got a bad feeling about this guys... hope I look like an idiot for that tomorrow though
  21. I want to see Breshad play man, so I agree with John. I'd stop him from getting that injury, the Ravens can't run their offense without a deep threat, which is why I expect Jeremy Ross to continue to get more involved.
  22. Trade Steve Smith to the Packers for a conditional draft pick, make the condition something that will be impossible to achieve. Give him away to a team that is going places, no one deserves a super bowl more than him and he isn't going to get it here.
  23. he's off, he's not bad. Brandon Weeden is bad, Joe Flacco is having a bad year.
