  1. Man, Will Hill is so talented. I remember talking to my Giants-fan buddy about this up and coming rookie who was lighting it up at safety. His athleticism and talent was so evident any time he took the field, neither of us understood how he went undrafted. Then the suspensions started coming in, and he would eventually fall out of favor with the Giants and sign with Baltimore. I really hoped it'd give him some perspective and that he'd turn his career around as he is clearly so capable of doing. Such a shame man, between him, Josh Gordon, and Justin Blackmon we have seen some really incredible talent fall victim to something as frivolous as smoking marijuana. I really wish this guy all the best in the future, I know Ravens fans won't forget the kick-six any time soon. And how fun would it be for the Browns to get Gordon back? That dude is a generational level talent, I'm talking Calvin Johnson/Dez Bryant/Julio Jones level.
  2. I like the signing, but now we've definitely gotta let some safeties go. That'll be a hard choice, and definitely one of the more interesting battles of the preseason.
  3. So, is the strategy here just them banking on the fact the salary cap will increase as time goes on?
  4. I'm interested to see him block. If he can play the position with some physicality I think he might turn some heads.
  5. I like the Watson pick up, having a high character veteran at the tight end spot will be immensely helpful for our young TEs, and he can definitely still make some moves himself. It's a two year deal, the offense is still getting younger and faster long term, but a short term mentor will be great. Between him, Flacco, Forsett, Steve, and Yanda we've got a leader in the locker room at every position on offense.
  6. So, a lot of these comments are talking about KO staying with the Ravens so he can stay on a winning team. A. Both the Raiders and Vikings had better seasons than we did last year. B. I feel like getting paid over ten million dollars per year for one's passion in life is the definition of winning.
  7. this isn't worth being reported on
  8. I'd really like us to get Myles Jack in the draft, him and Mosely together would be one of the best linebacker duos in the league for the next decade
  9. He's definitely in hot water now with the front office, looks like his off field issues just went from a simmer to a boyle.
  10. Forget the prognosticators, Ozzie will stick to his guns and select the best player on the Ravens draft board with his first round pick. We don't pick this high in the draft often, and we will not let it go to waste by trading back. Whoever is brought in will be a playmaker at whatever position he is drafted at.
  11. I'm personally not an FSU fan by any stretch of the imagination, but man I'd love to have Jalen Ramsey on our team. He'd be a natural fit with Jernigan and Brooks and we desperately need a playmaking corner. If we can resign Osemele before the draft, or if negotiations even look promising, and we miss out on Ramsey I would not be opposed to trading down and looking at Treadwell or Hargreaves somewhere down the board.
  12. Who else would we even consider tagging this year? If we have to slap it on him then that's what we gotta do, don't let him walk out the door. Is there a more popular kicker in the league? I don't think so.
  13. Nothing beats winning over Pittsburgh, I'd swap draft positions with the Steelers if we could have knocked them out of the playoffs. The Jets blew it today, I hated seeing those towels flying around in Buffalo... ugh.
  14. #1 thing to watch, Baltimore beating Pittsburgh. If we're going down, let's take them with us!
  15. Beat Pittsburgh. Let's go.
  16. Cool story and all, gives me he warm fuzzies I guess, but we ain't your friends this weekend Grandstaffs! Hope Joyce is doing well, that way she can watch them lose at full health!
  17. Went on NFL.com, see list of Pro Bowl snubs, think to myself "at least Brandon Williams' name will be in an article related to the Pro Bowl." He wasn't even on THAT list, come on man. Where's the love for the big man? He's a top 3 player at his position, I wonder how he did in the player/coach voting.
  18. I can't help but wonder if John wrote this article with the intention of throwing some fuel on the fire for Ravens fans to be involved with this game. Ravens-Steelers is still the best rivalry in the NFL, every game we play against them has some level of importance to it. This was a playoff matchup last year, and usually a playoff spot is on the line though I will concede it might be a wild-card spot with the way Cincy has played the last few years. Even this year, our worst year in a decade, beating the Steelers gave us our first win of the season and now we have a chance to spoil their playoff bid, and I know I would love nothing more than to see that. New England makes fans of every other team's blood boil, but nothing brings more animosity up in my hear than seeing their uniforms and logo.
  19. Only one thing matters right now: Beat Pittsburgh! Make NBC regret taking us out of primetime, make this game a show. Beat Pittsburgh, beat Pittsburgh, beat #$%#$&% PITTSBURGH! I know this Ravens team is angry enough to leave it all on the field next week. I'm fired up about it, I'll worry about the draft next Monday.
  20. I always have a soft spot for guys who perform well in the preseason, the game last week was rough but it was at least nice to see Daniel Brown make some plays. I hoped Renner would get a shot as well, but I have the same fear as you.
  21. Man, I am going to reiterate my distaste for Ryan Mallett, he's selfish and a bad teammate and has been for a long time. Also, I want Steve Smith to retire because I am just too nervous for him if he does return. A 36 year old man who just tore his Achilles needs to think about what being a 50 or 60 year old man is going to be like. The injuries he already has had are gonna take a toll later in life man, he doesn't need to make it worse. He should spend time with his family and enjoy the fact that he one of the best in NFL history, why risk another concussion or a torn/broken/lacerated body part? Is this Ravens team really a Super Bowl contender next year? But hey, Steve is a good dude, and if he comes back best believe I'll have him on my fantasy football team next year.
  22. So... this game is gonna be a nightmare for the offense. Love that we've been able to keep it together as a team this season, but I just have no faith in Schaub's ability to lead a deficient receiving core over a team like Seattle. I don't know if I'm any more excited about the prospect of Clausen playing, but Schaub just doesn't put our team in position to win games so I am ready to see what someone else can do. To be honest, I'm hoping to see Bryn Renner get some snaps in the last few games.
  23. I was at the game Sunday, and from where I was sitting in the stands I knew as soon as the flag was thrown that they were calling OPI, but I also disagreed with the call immediately. What that camera angle (the only one we are shown here) doesn't show is the extension of Brown's right arm into the Dolphin defender. Upon replay, even at the best angle it was clear that Brown's "interference" has little to nothing to do with the Dolphin defender falling over, or even that it was useful in gaining separation on the play, to me it looked like the defender flopped. But hey, that's the nature of the game now, if we were on defense in that situation we'd show the camera angle that makes it look most blatant and cry that the world was against us too. That call didn't cost us the game, can we talk about bad Schaub actually is?
