Honestly, is Pierre Garcon that significant of an upgrade from Kamar Aiken?

Hmm.. you're probably right. I think they've been signed for special teams help, but I doubt they make the 53 man roster after the draft and free agency. The Ravens, more than any team I know, love keeping guys who contribute on special teams even if they don't play in games often. Off the top of my head I can think of Ayanbadejo, Hester, Asa Jackson, Brennen Beyer, and Anthony Levine. I'm sure someone else can think of more. Bottom line, if they are "elite" special teams players, Baltimore wants to find a way to keep them.

If Marshall winds up a free agent as a cut/cap casualty, signing him is a perfect Ozzie Newsome move. Actually, I think it's a great move for both sides. Marshall gets to be on a team with real playoff potential and a locker room culture that allows players to fully be themselves, while the Ravens get a proven and big receiver who makes insanely tough catches and holds himself and his teammates accountable in the locker room. The Ravens love guys like this, 10 year vets who were hotheads early in their careers and have since become more introspective and team-oriented. Also, there'd be a UCF connection between him and Perriman. I know I'd love to have him on board.

So... Am I the only one thinking that the trio of Aiken, Perriman, and Wallace doesn't really sound that bad? That trio instills more confidence in me than our secondary does, and I know we have gotta keep Ricky Wagner here in Baltimore. I would love us to spend like, a 2nd or 3rd rounder on a WR in the draft, but let's keep that salary cap aimed at our biggest weaknesses. Seriously, we HAVE to find a CB.

You know, maybe if we weren't playing the Bengals in Cincinnati I would be more comfortable with the idea of losing to increase our draft position. But man, I don't wanna lose to this group of degenerates again. I've really grown to dislike the Bengals over the last few years, mainly because of Pacman and Vontaze. When you play guys like that, guys who want to hurt other players intentionally, you play to beat them into the dirt. I hope we embarrass that defense.

Willie Henry is our biggest rookie disappointment. Dude was supposed to be a rotational player on our d-line, instead he was outshined by a UDFA and stashed away on injured reserve.

Perriman's knee problems will keep him from ever being a returner.

Loved watching this game today, Dennis Pitta said it best. The offense has so much potential, there are so many weapons, and we can be so good when Joe gets them the ball. He was dropping dimes all day on this Miami defense, if he and Morhinweg can play with this kind of confidence next week in New England it will be a heck of a game. So excited we finally put a game like this together against a genuinely good ball club, let's keep it rolling!

No, Brandon Williams is not Ngata in his prime, but VERY few players are. Tell you what though, if we were gonna play a team who ran the ball every play, I would want Brandon on the field over anybody else we've had. That dude eats more double teams than candy bars, and he's a big man.

I don't know when Joe lost his deep ball, but that is the story that should be getting written. Perriman was not at fault on that drop. We have the fastest WRs we've had since Torrey/Jacoby but the ball just isn't getting to them in space. I love Joe, his 2012 playoff run was legendary, but it's 2016 and our offense isn't moving the ball even though everyone has such positive things to say about our skill position players. SSS might be the best receiver over 35 in league history, Wallace is having a resurgent year, Pitta is healthy and contributing, West has been running decently and Dixon is our back of the future. Unless someone wants to tell me that the o-line is the reason why our offense is having so many problems (a conversation I would definitely entertain) I think it's time we Ravens fans took an objective look at our franchise QB. He is a streaky QB whose average play is very pedestrian, but he will play better in the clutch than he will in garbage time. The defense is going to have to take us to the playoffs, and then we'll have to hope Joe turns it on in January like he always does. I'm just frustrated we're criticizing a 1st year receiver when it is clear to everyone outside of Baltimore that our QB is having a bad year.

Honestly, I feel like this game would have been so much different had Jimmy Smith been able to play. That was the key to the whole game, without Jimmy we have to rely on Tavon Young and Shareece Wright. Tavon will do great things for us for a long time, but he was just too inexperienced to be our best corner against a team like this. Shareece is a backup, that's where he should fit into our plans going forward.

Love this kid's play over the last few weeks, he is consistently in good position and around the football. He deserves to be allowed to hold down the starting job for as long as he plays well, so far he has been at least as effective as Shareece Wright and I would argue he has been better.

I'm far from the first one to criticize Joe Flacco, heck I was wearing his jersey during the game today, but he just doesn't seem as effective this year. I know, I know, we gotta give him another week with a fully healthy offensive line, I'm just saying he hasn't been playing winning football out there. On the other side of the ball, I am so impressed by Tavon Young. That kid is everywhere.

Tucker is confident enough to kick from anywhere and Harbs believes in him enough to let him try. A lot of his misses I can remember seem like not only were they 50+, but there were some 55 yarders in there that most teams wouldn't even attempt. Justin lets us be more aggressive on special teams, this signing was a no brainer.

my thoughts are that he'll make our roster because our FO knows there is no other way we can hang on to him. He will not make it through waivers. This is Mike Camp's last season of eligibility on the practice squad, and he is far more likely to pass under the radar. My guess is that he gets stashed while Keenan gets kept on the 53.

You know, a failed drug test for performance enhancement is something I could understand and sympathize with the guy for as he battles for a roster spot, but a substance abuse failed drug test is just stupid. Come on man, your career is on the line and that's the choice you make?

Two players I would like to hear more about this offseason: KLM and Willie Henry. I was already figuring Urban would get major snaps this season.

passer rating, passer rating, passer rating. That's all anyone ever wants to talk about when calling Joe overrated. We are a perennial playoff team, and every other team that can say the same gets heaps of praise from the NFL media. What Joe does better than anyone in the NFL is figure out how to get the ball in his hands in a close game. Usually, he's good enough to get us to win the game from there. We don't get a lot of blowouts in Baltimore, but we're used to winning close games. That being said, last year was especially brutal because we lost all those close games.

As a citizen of Orlando, I can tell you our city is still reeling. Our community has organized quickly, blood drive lines go on for blocks and our police force is one of the best and most compassionate in the country. This is yet another blow for Breshad as well, as a UCF alumni I know Orlando is close to his heart.

As soon as I read this headline all I could think was "no way..." Awful for the Ravens, and it couldn't happen to a better guy. There's nobody on this team I'd like to see succeed more than Breshad, this just sucks man. I hope injuries don't define his story

So we keep talking about Stanley playing left guard this season if he doesn't play tackle, but how come we never talk about this going the other way around? As has already been stated, we have the cap room to keep both on board this season and having Monroe gives us great depth at the position. But whoever the reserve LT ends up being should get a shot at guard, why does it matter if its Stanley or Monroe? Either one of them would be the best LG on our roster if we put 'em there.

Can we put Boyle on the P-Squad if he is suspended? If not I don't think there's any way we can keep him around, these roster spots are too tightly contested to reserve one for a guy who would be our no.5 TE even if he was here right now.

So, is our five minutes in pads during a special teams drill gonna be the new delfategate of this offseason? Ridiculous.
