  1. Based off tape, which is all we'll get from him and is skewed in his favor since he played at Western Michigan against Mike Williams playing in the ACC, he looks really really good. My personal favorite of the top 3 guys, and the fact he isn't working out for teams before the draft could work out in our favor. I'm banging the Reuben Foster drum right now, but if we went WR round 1 he'd be my guy.
  2. Resign Kamar Aiken, draft Reuben Foster (maybe trade a 3rd rounder to move up a few draft spots, to like 13-14 to get ahead of Indy), snag the injured Sidney Jones with our remaining 3rd rounder. Grab a CB/pass rusher/WR/OL in rd 2. This is my dream.
  3. guys... I think there might be a chance Reuben Foster falls to us. I've started watching tape on the top 50 guys, this man is a bad dude who is gonna be an absolute stud for whoever picks him up. Him next to CJ with Brandon/Timmy/Pierce in the middle and our big hitting safeties coming down off the edge. Tavon and Jimmy would be just fine as our starting CBs with that much pressure. If Kaufusi, KC, or Judon can show up and play, man that defense would be fierce.
  4. "Their two best defensive players." No disrespect to either of those guys, but calm down buddy.
  5. lol, certainly his relationship with Weddle had something to do with it, but I definitely feel you.
  6. Round 1. Takkirst McKinney- OLB UCLA or Solomon Thomas- OLB- Stanford Round 2. De De Westbrook- WR- Okla Round 3. Fabian Moreau- CB- UCLA Round 3. Zach Barner- T /G - USC Round 4. Devonte Fields - OLB Louisville Round 5. Robert Davis - WR- Ga State or KD Cannon - WR - Baylor Round 6. Kareem Are- G- FSU Provided we land Claiborne if not then we go after TreDavious White -CB LSU in the 2nd round and Ju Ju Smith- Schuster- WR - USC in the 3rd dude if solomon thomas was still on the board at 16, our draft decision would take all of 15 seconds. I feel like there is almost no chance
  7. Already stoked about the 1-2 punch of Weddle and Jefferson, both these guys excel at the line of scrimmage and certainly aren't too shabby in coverage. I can't imagine the nightmares opposing OCs are gonna have trying to figure out their protection schemes with that kind of versatility on the back end. To me it seems an obvious fit that Alex Lewis will take over the RT spot, possibly Ducasse playing guard. I'd like to go after an upgrade at center now, but the biggest thing on my wish list is that whoever we go after in the 1st round, he becomes somebody whose jersey is seen all over M&T Bank Stadium. I don't care what position he plays.
  8. Brandon deserves to be in Baltimore long term, congrats!
  9. Love this move, guess this means Webby is gone though.
  10. Come ask me to compare Joe to all those other teams QBs this time next year. Another season of sub-mediocrity and I'm selling my Flacco jersey. As of right now... I'd take Tannehill, Dalton, Alex Smith, or Philip Rivers. I'm even tempted to look at young guys like Wentz, and I'm also a huge UCF homer... so maybe Blake Bortles can turn it around?
  11. Yes, he has 70 carries for 349 yards, 5 yard per carry average in his NFL Career, not bad. I'd take an 8 year NFL career which only required 70 in-game carries from me to continue making a minimum of 500k per year. I don't care how grueling the practices are, that's a sweet gig.
  12. I think there's a real chance that either Cook or Mike Williams are on the board at 16, depending on how the QB needy teams pick ahead of us. But even if we don't land those two, we could still get one of the top 3 CBs, a top 2 safety, or a premier edge rusher. Even if all that fails, we'll be looking at a top offensive lineman (like that kid Lamp out of WKU) and I haven't even said anything about Fournette, McCaffrey, the two big name TEs in this draft. There is no reason our 1st round pick this year can't be a day 1, season long starter and immediate roster upgrade.
  13. The fact that his run stopping grade was higher than Brandon's is surprising. I think that no matter what, Jernigan and Pierce are going to play heavily next season. I think if Brandon leaves in FA, the microscope is really going to get put on Willie Henry.
  14. The book has seemingly been written on Breshad Perriman as well, the good news is that the FO doesn't listen to media hype. I say give a guy his rookie contract before deciding he's a bust, which is what we just finished doing with Matt Elam.
  15. There could not be a worse team to pickup the running back who has a public video of him assaulting a woman than the Baltimore Ravens. Mixon will never suit up in purple and black.
  16. His stats speak for themselves, tackling is an attribute when you are the leading tackler on your team for both the seasons he played all 16 games in for the Colts. Even if you don't want to say it's a direct attribute, a high number of tackles speaks to a lot of other key attributes for a player like game speed, awareness, play recognition, strength, etc. I'm not here to advocate every cut player is one that we sign, but I am always in favor of solidifying positions before the draft. If we can snag a plug and play starter and have it not effect our compensatory pick status in 2018, it is nothing but a positive in my mind.
  17. I sleepwalked through this article until this: "He caught 40 passes for 716 yards and 11 touchdowns in four games against Pac-12 teams." Dang, okay, I see you Coop.
  18. Point #2 really resounded with me, and it sounds right. But I think Jackson has a lot to offer our team, especially considering that he would play opposite CJ. Jackson has consistently been one of the top tacklers in the league and clearly plays with enough energy to always be around the football. 10 year vets who get cut always play with a chip on their shoulder the next year, and the Ravens have frequently benefited from players in exactly that position. The reason we liked Zach so much is because he flew around the field and made a lot of tackles. If we think we can replace that production, why not bring him in? Wasn't Daryl Smith an 11 year vet when he signed with us? I'd take a do-over of that in a heartbeat.
  19. A veteran presence with strong leadership ability always fits into a Ravens D. We just lost our young and fast guy, Zach Orr, and the word on the street is that McClellan will move back inside if necessary. D'Qwell is a much better player than that, even if it turns out like a Daryl Smith situation where he comes in for a few years, balls out, and moves on. Honestly, if the goal every year is to get to the playoffs, why wouldn't we want someone who can help us do that, even if it is only for a year or two? This isn't a team that needs to be totally rebuilt from the ground up, it is a team that needs a few plug and play starters to get over the hump. D'Qwell Jackson fits that mold.
  20. Love that attitude from Crockett, let's see if it will translate to playmaking on the field. I still remember that 2 TD game in Oakland a couple years ago where he was literally putting the Raiders defense on his back. Also, I see D'Qwell got cut, who wants to bet Ozzie has already gotten him on the phone?
  21. Dalvin Cook from FSU or Jabrill Peppers from Michigan would be my favorite two guys for us to select. These guys are game breakers, guys that coordinators can get creative with and can just be an X-factor on their respective sides of the ball. I get that safety and running back aren't necessarily our primary needs, but they will make big plays for whatever team drafts them and be guys other teams are worried about when they play against them. Why not go get a guy like that instead of another "perfect" role player?
  22. Zach Orr working to fight opioid addiction is an awesome cause for a former NFL player. He is making an impact in his Baltimore community and the NFL community at large. People need to make a bigger deal about the drug addiction so many ex-NFL players face, and that doesn't even get into the US population at large. My hat is off to you Zach, you're really a great man.
  23. Just saw on NFL.com that Sam Shields has been released. Here's hoping Ozzie has already picked up the phone.
