Ravens Searching For Playmaker Like Odell Beckham Jr.
One of the things the Ravens’ struggling but improving offense could use right now is a playmaker.
CSNMidAtlantic.com’s Clifton Brown says to look no further than the Ravens’ opponent last week to see what a true playmaker looks like.
“The Ravens need more of their playmakers stepping up the way Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. stepped up for the Giants on Sunday,” he wrote. “Consider that Beckham had 211 yards receiving in the second half Sunday. … Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman
has 172 yards receiving the entire season.”

I guess maybe I wasn't that far off on my analysis. Everybody outside this board sees we lack playmakers.

very intereting. Looks a lot like my post last week. I guess Sarah agreed with me.

All this arguing about how much talent you think we have but you predicted we'd lose to a below average Giants team? You're a confused homer at that kid.
53 minutes ago, wizard1 said:Are you kidding? We did get blown out. The Giants plowed overs us again and again. Maybe my score prediction wasn't dead on accurate but it doesn't mean I was totally inaccurate either but it doesn't matter. You on the other hand ( as usual ) predicted nothing that came true. With all your hoopla and hype you are consistently wrong about everything you post. I hope you are on the same train outta Baltimore with Harbaugh. You 2 can ride off into the sunset and find some other team to ruin.
Finalllyyyyy. Unbiased fans!!!!

Honestly, if we would have drafted better for the past couple of years flaccos contract wouldn't hurt as bad. I'm sure we banked on that. But in hindsight it's hard not to say we should build a very talented roster and have a less expensive vet run the show. If I had to be completely real, flacco hasn't earned his money after the super bowl, so yeah. Id go with a better team. especially when you consider the 80/20 rule. Your turn.
4 minutes ago, Sami84 said:Philip Rivers would be my pick. He's just brilliant.
That's not the question bro. I only put up the salaries so everyone could compare his money to his counterparts. Read the last paragraph. Lol but I do agree. Rivers is a savage!!!
1 minute ago, Jonah DeVito said:Honestly I don't have a problem with his contract. QBs cost a premium these days, and he keeps us in games, injuries and penalties just sucked the life out of this team today.
Agreed. Going forward say for the next 5 years or so. Which strategy do you think would give us more success?
I've noticed on this board that many fans feel flacco is overrated and overpaid. I've never been one of those fans but when you look at the top paid qbs it's worth debating.
Some would argue that we lack talent because of Flacco's hefty contract and we'd have a much more talented team without his salary on the books. Others feel that we need a franchise QB so settling for Flacco is fine enough although the rest of the roster may not be as strong as we'd like. Which begs the question......
Which would you prefer? Having flacco and his hefty contract with more average players around him then good players? Or having a much more talented team around a(wayyyyy less expensive) young inexperienced or older journeyman quarterback?
Fire away.
5 minutes ago, 52liveforever said:Yeah. I'll agree here. I liked Correa but not more than a lot of guys on the board
Who would have been your pick? At the time I said Derrick Henry but the way west is playing we could do without. I'm curious to hear your opinion.
2 minutes ago, rmcjacket23 said:Better question would probably be why PLAY Correa?
Nobody else offers any type of outside pass rush. Might as well let him try. You know what's annoying? Watching flaccos pocket collapse inside and around the edges almost every play but for some reason we can't get any pressure. And we double dipped this draft at pass rusher.
1 minute ago, flynismo said:They need to stop screwing around and leave him at OLB where he belongs. I said it when we drafted him and someone brought up a move to ILB -- he is not built for that.
Agreed. Especially when we are pretty set at ILB and clearly need outside pass rush. They've made him a non factor so far. He can't even get burn in most blitzing packages.

Don't even bother with him lol, rmcjacket thinks he's on the team or something. "Fans need to look in the mirror and ask what we want to be" lol you have to be kidding me.
"Nobody is junk on this level. And I better show up because they are paying me. If not you'll get knocked upside your head." Something like that lol

We lack elite talent.
2 hours ago, ravefan52 said:Agree on all that. He was my least favorite pick in a long time.
There were so many better players available.
4 minutes ago, Davesta said:Drafting a WR who got stone hands... What's the #1 trait to look for in a WR? A natural pass catcher. Great 1st round pick for sure.
Perriman, Elam, Arthur brown, kamalei, Terrence brooks, maxx Williams, Carl Davis...
the first 3 rounds is where you find the superstars, we're only good at drafting middle round starters.
And you wonder why we have so many holes we need to fill.
Yup, I've been saying this for a while. Our drafting has fallen off but according to this board, we have drafted well. I just don't see it.
I was thinking the same thing. They did seem scared of harbs. He was clearly irritated, maybe they will ask tougher questions as the week goes on and let him live today.
1 hour ago, Deflated Football said:So how did everyone like the new play calling today? I thought it was diverse and I'm excited to see what else he can do these next few weeks.
Marty showed creativity. He's way better than trestman for sure and the players seemed to play harder for him.
59 minutes ago, usmccharles said:When I saw the replay and he was in the ground, I instantly posted I think it'd a torn bicep, just the way his arm was limp. He's the last raven with any swag, at all.... Will be a sad day
Exactly, he's the last we have from our beloved dominant Ravens era. We are a new team now.
1 hour ago, hen826957 said:It's interesting that we lost three games, (one vs the Redskins), the offensive coordinator (Mark Trestman), and somebody have maybe a torn biceps or triceps (Suggs). Hmm it's starting to remind me when we won the Super Bowl in 2012. We had lost 3 straights game (one vs the Redskins), fire Cam Cameron, and Ray Lewis went down on a triceps injury but came back on the run to the Super Bowl. Strange.
I wish bro I wish. But in reality, we need to restock on talent.
4 minutes ago, rmcjacket23 said:Nope, but why is that being discussed in the middle of the season? What impact does that have on the 2016 Ravens?
What impact does any of what we say have on the Ravens? Lol WE ARENT ON THE TEAM. Did you get a ring during either of our bowls? So relax and enjoy healthy respectful debating like an adult.
8 minutes ago, rmw10 said:Or how about both were the issue? I don't think anyone here expected this offense to go gangbusters and drop a 50 burger on anyone. The offense opened up with both a running and deep ball game. That's what we expected and that's what we got. That doesn't automatically mean we win the game.
Fair enough. The truth is we don't have the coaching to mask our average talent. That's just what it is.
1 minute ago, Edgar said:This whole cheesy notion that certain fans deserve to lose or that certain people don't deserve a super bowl victory is poppycock.
Success should be celebrated and failure bemoaned as one desires. Entertainment.
You know that's impossible here. If you aren't a Ravens homer, just go to RSR. The truth isn't welcome here.
3 minutes ago, rmcjacket23 said:And the "truth", as usual, lies in the middle. Most likely both were the problem.
The difference, as usual, is making personnel changes mid-season don't really happen, because there are no AJ Green's sitting at home waiting for the Ravens call on Sunday.
I mean do you clowns really think that the FO and coaching staff doesn't see that there are talent issues at numerous positions?
This ain't Madden folks. You can't just trade backup players for studs and start over when you are 3-3.
Lol clowns? Smh and nobody said blow the whole thing up. At least I haven't. I just feel we need changes. Especially in the scouting and developing talent department. Our pieces just don't seem to mesh well together at times. Can you really argue that?

Yeah she went a bit far on that part but her point(like mine) is very valid. I know, as fans, sometimes it's hard to handle the truth but it is what it is. WE ARE NOT A BAD TEAM, but we are average until we can draft and develop playmakers.
