He's also the player that Dallas tried to get rid for years but they could never find someone better.  They did not lose him by choice.  They had no cap space to sign him.

He's a solid player but I'm not 100% that he's going to be our starter. I mean this kind of reminds me of the Kyle Arrington signing. Plus, why wouldn't the cowboys want to keep him? Their secondary was depleted and they wanted some continuity. Remember, his BEST attribute durability.

he combed a 4.41 but he plays slow an he lacks awarenss. the guy I wanted will be playin long afta Humphry is off to his next gig. myrick is cat quick both straight on and in coverage.  I am literal stun dead cold

You can't do that bro. So when a player you like runs a fast 40 they are a burner but Marlon(all world track athlete) runs a blazing 40 and he "plays slow." So hypothetically speaking, if Carr goes down you'd be comfortable with Myrick stepping in and starting rather than Marlon who has played in the biggest games on the best team in college football?

I hav to tell ya really thought we needed to go oline, receiva and work on D late draff.  I elmimnated few cbs but Humphrey was one. he reminds of elam with slightly betta hands. he likes to hit some but hittin a college back aint hittin an nfl back they wont be thar many time with his style. I am dead serreous we pulled an elam here

You can't say that yet bro!  Homie hasn't even strapped up yet. I agree that we needed a receiver but Ozzie and company aren't going to reach for offense and you know that. Humphrey is the exact opposite of Elam! Elam was always small with small arms and good college speed but not NFL speed. Humphrey is a size, speed freak with long arms. Go look at his sports science. It just sucks the board is closing because I really want to see how many people who bash him now will have him as their avatar by week 5.

Does any other GM in the NFL have such an infatuation with a college more than Ozzie with Alabama?

I'm begging to get tired of it. I feel like he has blinders on.

Pretty idiotic post to be honest. We have a grand total of 2 players from bama on our roster including Marlon. everybody wants to throw a fit when we don't draft their guy smh.

I hear you about overreacting. It just sucks because it's been happening for years and years now. And first and second round picks are how you build a franchise.
OJ Howard is an all pro and the man. Instant top 3 te. Can't believe we didn't help the run, pass game, and Flacco by drafting him. Unreal.
Really though, saying he was the number one corner on the # defense in college means absolutely nothing. Especially in this case considering he was a weak point on their defense multiple times, especially in big games vs better players, when it matters. He got torched down the field in multiple big games. Panics when the ball is in the air.......bad instincts and ball skills...........NOT COOL
Let's see what happens tomorrow. I'm nervous now instead of excited.
Tomorrow is huge and we have a chance to turn it around, but I'm not holding my breath.
Here are a couple names I hope become Ravens-
    King
    Awuzie
    Tabor
    Lamp
    Ju Ju!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Lawson!
    Eflein!
Cook?- I don't think he was drafted

SO many great players left. At least a round of usual first rounders

Also, I'm guessing Ozzie would have felt like he wasted two major TE investments if he would have picked O.J. With maxx and Crockett. That's cool and all but May show us that we truly don't draft BPA.

Howard was for sure the BPA and I'm honestly banking on them just knowing more than me about those two players.  My gf immediately said Ozzie was over-thinking the pick. I think they are just trying to add some nasty to our defense at all levels. Humphrey will be a good player for us early though. I don't have much faith in Carr. Hopefully we see two offensive picks later tonight or this board will explode.

1 divided by 7, good job. But lets think about it, I think a first round pick is a little more important than the rest.
Plus, those comments aren't based off of 1 pick. You know that!
It's based off of our opinion of this 1rst round pick ( and many other non Ravens fans), but also more importantly the WHIFFS that have been happening in the high rounds for years and years now. There's a reason we have fallen off big time from what we used to be year after year.
The Ravens themselves even admitted before this draft how they've been screwing up big time in recent drafts, and how it's bringing the team down.
It's one thing if our first and second rounders turn into good players, or even average players that find a way to contribute just a little to a win here or there, but we are picking 1rst and 2nd round picks that can't even stay in the league. Can't stay competitive, let alone challenge for SuperBowls when you have first and second round picks like that, year after year, after year.
    Maxx
    Perriman
    KC
    Elam
    AB
just to name a few 1rst and 2nd rounders from the past few years

14% was just putting into perspective how much time we have left to still fill holes. . I agree with you that we've whiffed and personally I would have taken O.J. Howard but this is still a great pick. #1 corner on the best defense in college football. I just feel that recent whiffs have made us fail to give these new picks the benefit of the doubt. Plus, the money for us in this drafts are those two third rounders. Let's let the draft finish before assuming the sky is falling.

We take the 2nd best CB in this year's draft (after Sidney Jones' injury) and Ravens fans are still complaining! Fans have been crying for CB help after seeing the Ravens blow numerous late 4th Qtr leads.....because of a weak secondary.....and now we have one of the NFL's best secondaries and still no love. (Even when we know about Jimmy Smith's durability issue).

Yes, we could have gone with one of the other 3 Alabama players still on the board but we do NOT need another DT or TE and Foster must have had some issues/red flags or he would not have lasted until the 31st pick.

These coaches look at thousands of hours of film and game tape, but obviously some fans know much more than the coaches. Send an email or give Owner Steve Bisciotti a phone call.....he may be hiring!

THANK YOU! Some people on here just like drama. We got the #1 corner on the best defense in college football and everybody is complaining. Honestly, nobody should have anything negative to say until the end of tomorrow. That's our moment to shine.

He seems small, 6' 0" and 229 for an ILB in the NFL. One has to wonder how effective he would be at the next level unless switched to strong safety.

Have you ever watched him play or are you just talking based on height weight measurements? Dude is an enforcer, beast, probably one of the hardest hitters in the draft. He plays way bigger than that. Not to mention he's one of the top 2 players on the best D in college football.

I love me some Jimmy smith! I think he's a top 10 CB when healthy. It just kills me when I think 3 of his last 4 injuries came when he was making a tackle from a weird position. Just put your head down and go for the runners legs! Who cares if you miss a tackle here or there. It's his cover skills that we really need. If Jimmy plays all 16 games. I promise we make the playoffs and no one would want to meet us there!

    "Just put your head down?"

"Who cares if you miss a tackle here and there?"

Glad you're not the coach Smh.
