I have to disagree. Our WRs are not mediocre. Joe can't keep under and over throwing them first of all. Second of all, use your personnel properly. Don't send Waller and Brown on Go routes and expect them to have good separation. It's not going to happen. Akiman didn't have a great day, but he wasn't horrible either. We have good personnel. We need to use them better. Finally, some of our WR look bad because Joe focuses in on one WR making us at home ask why the other WRs can't get open.

This^ With the exception of a few players that I mentioned earlier the real problem with this team is coaching on both sides of the ball. I strongly believe we have the personnel, but they are not being used wisely.

The problem is more so the coaches then a missing T-Sizzle.

Fire Pees Fire Trestman Cut Webb Defensive Secondary: What kind of technique are we playing out there?! Why did Arrington release that receiver when the Raiders were basically on the goal line? Did he think he had help over the top??? What top? You're on the goal line. The minute he released him he was open for a TD. What was he expecting Will Hill to come flying in to knock the ball away. Why was there so much confusion on D today. Why do the CBs give 11 yard cushions on 3rd and 5s? Are we that afraid of getting beat deep that we concede the 1st down marker?! Do we even know how to play press coverage? Webb has lost his skills-- period and is a liability. I can't wait for Melvin to return. Defensive Line: If Jernigan isn't ready then start Kapron-Lewis. We couldn't get off a block to make a run stop for nothing in the world and what made it worse was when the Raiders did run our ILBs didn't plug holes. Upshaw is horrible. He couldn't even stop the run, which is normally a staple of his. Please don't put him in situations where he has to play pass coverage. He can't do it! Play Calling: What did go well? Do we really need to pass that much? Why run a bootleg when you haven't even established an ability to run on the other team's defense. You are asking someone to rip your QBs head off. Why didn't we try to run more? What was Trestman THINKING down in the red zone during our next to last series. Finally, Joe should not reinforce the moniker of "Jump Ball" Joe. He has got an arm and touch and the ability to be accurate, so he needs to do so! The over and under throws have got to stop.

Cut Wagner ASAP! He was the same joker to stink it up in 2013 against the Broncos. The guy can't handle a speed rush-period. Before you neg me look a the tape. Tape don't lie. Also fire Castillo. Is that fool still the OL coordinator? I haven't seen such uncoordinated OL play since 2013 and 2014. Wait.... Any way, there was this one down where the Broncos rushed 4 and we had 6, yes count them, 6! players in pass protection (the OL Juskyzeaefec...you get me). He stayed in the back field to pass block until he realized it was a 5 on 4 advantage Ravens. As soon as he left the backfield, anyone want to guess what happened?, Joe gets sacked...again! It gets better! Joe goes into shotgun formation for one play and gets sacked in 3 secs. Wow, I mean just Wow! What can you say about that! Great NFL QBs need how much time at a minimum to throw the ball?! Fire the OL coach!

I can't blame Ozzie for not drafting a WO or offensive player this year. Ravens added a solid center, LT, is getting KO back, retained JJ, acquired Smith and Daniels.

Bottom line is we need someone better than what we had last season. Ozzie, the business man understands he will have to pay the market price for that upgrade. If Mack is the best choice and affordable pay him. Who goes cheap on quality they can afford?--key word afford. And no having the money does not alone equate to affordability. Now if his price doesn't fit in with what we need to do to improve the rest of the team-- then you pass him up because we cannot afford him. You don't pass him up on the idea that centers are not that important.

I'm hoping the Smith is a distraction! I hope to see him walking up and down the sideline yelling at fellow players and coaches. Motivating this teams. We had no heart last year. I can't remember one cutaway shot before a commercial of a Raven player walking up and down the sidelines yelling at his teammates or talking to the coaches try to motivate people. This team needs some steam!

Watching the TD Baltimore show. Preston just reported Harbaugh wanted to promote Hostler immediately, but Biscuit and Ozzie said no. They told him he had to open it up to other candidates. GOOD FOR THEM. It's great to know that the grown-ups have not turned over all the power. If what Preston says is true then it looks like Shanahan will be the next OC. You got to figure if they went through all of this then they have to take the most qualified candidate.

The whole OC search/selection process/Harbaugh's operation "save face with the fans so they don't think I practice cronyism" is pure BS. It's laughable that this drawn out OC search comes or came down to: a candidate with zero OC experience; a candidate with 1 year of experience, which was roundly judged as abysmal; and a candidate with 6 years experience and success at being an OC in that his offenses where in the top 10 or 15 in the league. How in the world does it take this long to pick the guy who has by empirical evidence the most experience and been the most successful at the position! I believe Harbaugh, being true to his talent identifying powers and penchant for cronyism, will pick... the worst candidate for the position--Hostler.

Since none of us work for the team, at least that we know of, aren't all comments on this board related to the Ravens pure speculation? That's one of the reasons the board exists--so that fans can speculate.
