  1. Joe is not only elite, but a first ballot Hall of Famer. #JoeHOF
  2. John do you even watch the game? That interception wasn't a pressure throw. You imply that it was with how you describe it above. That pocket was clean. Unbelievably one of the cleanest because this offensive line has stink, stank, and stunk it up on the field since the first game this season. Joe knew he was going to Steve the whole way. The Steeler's DB sat on the route. In fact a better throw would have been to Marlon Brown who was wide the open down the left side line. Why was he wide open, because the Steeler's DB released him to sit on the SSS route. C'mon Man!
  3. People need to stop saying our WRs can't get open. Including that has-been Phil Simms. Last night when Joe was sacked, I believe for the third time, that numnuts said no one was open and I believe one WR was open on the left side of the field down the sideline when he showed video to prove, but it didn't, his point. What we as fans can't see during the game is the whole field. When you look at the coach's tape you see people open. Not all the time but most of the time. The problem in my humble opinion is a lack of rapport and timing. Joe and the "rest" of the WRs need to develop those. Too many years have gone by in which the pass plays have homed in on one WR-- enough of that crap spread the dang ball around.
  4. It was a great win, but we'll be lucky if we are a 7-8 team. The DBs are that bad. Actually, bad is a kind discription.
  5. One player that is a joy to watch Brandon Williams (BEAST)
  6. Joe is not only elite, but a first ballot Hall of Famer. #Canton
  7. Whhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaat!????????????????
  8. I didn't imply, you inferred. This SEASON did we win the last two games? As for the Super Bowl, I remember the mile high miracle, ray rice, cam cameron being fired, ray lewis religious antics, jacoby jones's run back, a stifling ravens defense the first half, Joe's jump ball throw to Q, Jimmy Smith's interception, and Jim Caldwell calling pass plays for the middle of the field. Huh, seems like I remember more then YOU. I'm good on the history. How about you?
  9. We don't need a running back. We need Zuttah, Wagner and Hurst to play better. They are stinking it up right now on the offense
  10. I never said his throwing was the "reason" we lost. I said and still am saying going to a pass heavy offense is not going to work. It's been tried in the past with Joe and hasn't worked. In addition facts are facts Joe threw for a hefty amount of yards and we still loss; hence, my conclusion, based on results not wishful thinking, is that it won't work. By the way I do watch the games and the problem on offense is not play calling as it is the offensive line play. I don't care how many pass plays you call if that line doesn't run block or pass block better we will continue to have an up an down performance. You go look at the game tape.
  11. I stand by my previous comment. Joe threw for almost 400yds and we still loss. It ain't the answer. If we don't want our defense to lose games for us we need to keep the other offense off the field for as long as possible by getting the run game going. Period. We can get our running game going by fixing the missed or poor blocks by the O-linemen.
  12. Just finished watching the 1st Qtr of the coache's film on NFL Game Pass of the Ravens/Bengals game. I'll start with the positive, since I've been so negative these last few days. --Brandon Williams is a BEAST. One on one he drives his man into the backfield. Two on one he handles the double team very well. There were at least one or two running plays were he handled a double team and either still made the tackle or impact the run in a negative way. Ok it's all down hill from here on out with this post. Defensive notes: Melvin can and does play press coverage. The problem is he stinks at it. His penalty in the red zone (holding) was because he pressed Jones but was manhandled wound of falling to the ground and the process of that grabbed Jones' jersey; hence the call That's not the only time he lost his feet. He bit hard on a pump fake from Dalton fall down and Dalton hit Jones down the side line for a big game. The problem there was that Melvin had Lewis covering underneath. When Dalton pumped fake Jones was even looking back for the ball and had Dalton thrown it Lewis would have had an INT. There was no reason to bite at all. Jimmy Smith does not play press coverage although he lines up as if he will. He gives his man a free release off the line every time. Never does he attempt to jam his guy at all. Kendrick Lewis is not a cover safety. No way, no how. Those of you out there calling for a change in safety. The tape says you are justified. Mosley is the reason Dalton scored the Bengals first TD. He juked Mosley right out of his shoes. It was one on one and Mosley flat out loss--horrible. Offense: It has one big problem-- the line. Wagner is terrible on run blocking and Zuttah could handle his on either on run blocking on pass protection. With Wagner on a running play with a zone blocking scheme, he ran into the back of the defender he was suppose to block then fell down. Foresett was tackled for a loss. On another running play normal blocking scheme he just got beat and the RB was tackled for a loss. Flacco and the WRs: there could be a lot going on here some of it could be patience on Joe's part another could be play calling by Trestman. On one play the pocket collapsed on Joe, but he could have stepped up into and made a throw that would have resulted in a 1st down instead he dumped the ball off. On another, the 1st play on offense after the Bengals TD. Akin and Smith were both open for big gains, but Joe dumped the ball off into the flat even though he had great protection and no one was near him. Looking at the play Joe was ready to throw the ball wayyyy sooner than the WRs began to make their breaks. But there was another issue with the play Akin and Smith were in the same area. I'm really close bring to each other bring with them 3 defenders. Two on Smith and one on Akin. Eventually they cleared away from one another, but by that time Joe had dumped the ball off.
  13. Joe has had a 384 and 364 yd game b-to-b. That strategy isn't working. granted the defense is falling on its face in the 4th, but it would be nice if the offense could string together two series of downs in the first half. 3 and outs the entire first half hurts the D.
  14. If every time a WR dropped a pass and a QB stopped throwing him the ball, it would be a "run happy" league. Brady put no name wide WRs on his back and carried them into the post season a couple of years ago. Joe ought to be able to do the same.
  15. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I said it so many times in the past on this site. It's not that our WRs suck and can't get open. It's that Joe zones in on one or two WRs. Funny thing is in this article Joe is BLAMING it on Trestman. HEY JOE, you are an 8th year QB! Grows some EGGS and change the play if you disagree. His comments above are hot garbage!
  16. OMG. Just watched video of a portion of Harbaugh's post game interview. Some one asked him if Kendrick Lewis covering A.J. Green, Green scored a TD, was a blown play. Harb's said it was not. It was a designed play. Said it was zone coverage. 3 Deep Zone. Now, I know a coach or two on the defensive side should be fired. It is one thing to be dumb it's another to design stupidity into your game plan. By the way Kendrick was given this assignment after going through concussion protocols. Are we serious!
  17. As much as I hate Harbaugh's method acting on the sideline every time we start to lose a game. I don't put the losing at his feet, I know it sounds crazy. The bottom line for me is that Pees, Trestman and Joe are letting him down. Why Joe? The panic throws. The intentional grounding was a panic throw. The short arm pass to S. Smith up the middle towards the end of the game was a panic throw. Also, the last throw of the game was a panic throw. These were all throws in which had Joe took a half a second to think he'd have made better throws or a better decision.
  18. Anybody notice the exasperated look on Harbaugh's face the entire game? It was almost as if he was channeling the fans. The only thing is he's the head coach and can actually do something about the poor play and poor coaching...i think.
  19. Excuse me...I seem to have lost a defense and a running game on my way to the stadium today. Has anyone seen them?
  20. Jimmy Smith got torched by a rookie last week and by one of the best in the game this week. If Ben plays next week can't wait to see how many yards he gives up to A. Brown. J. Smith is not a shutdown corner and is not even a decent corner at this point in the season. In those plays in which he was burned by Green, J. Smith was barely in the screen shot. Think about that before you even consider calling J. Smith a decent corner.
  21. He's not even decent.
  22. Now I know why Jimmy Smith does not play press coverage...it's because he can't. He was in position to play press coverage several times and each time gave A.J. Green a free release off the line. I mean he whiffed...badly! Dean Pees should still be fired! Why you may ask? How does Kendrick Lewis find himself covering A.J. Green off the line of scrimmage? How does that happen when on the other side of the field Webb is apparently covering no one at all. Fire Costello too! How does KO end up having to block two rushers? How does he not know who he has and who is his help. Was there help there to be had? Why did Joe not recognize the blitz? Also we can't run the ball at all. And, someone tell Foresett to grow some eggs. On that one running play he cut back to the left when he should have kept running to the outside towards the right. He cut it back to the left because of the defender shadowing him on the other side of the block. Hey Foresett that was your man to beat. You don't cut back inside! You take him on! Why did Joe throw that final ball? It was not what we needed. That was a reach. What made it worse was Tasker on the replay was circling WRs that were wide open and that had Joe thrown to them would have gotten us the 1st down. How many "nervous" throws is Joe going to make this year. That short armed throw to S. Smith was ridiculous as was the intentional grounding. Stop blaming the WR. We don't need all star WR. At most we need guys who can find the whole in a zone and a quarterback who can get them the ball. You can't tell me these guys can't find the wholes. I just don't believe it. Joe focuses in on one or two WR he always has and always will. He has never been a QB that spread the ball around.
  23. Stop playing 10 yards off the ball on a 3rd and 5. Stop releasing slot WRs into the end zone. Coaches need to stop calling 3 man rushes.
  24. I had no idea that Gillmore was that much of a beast. Play that man!
  25. Flacco had a great day. The only problem is he left points on the board when we needed everything we could get because our D played like hot garbage. Some might think I'm asking Joe to play a perfect game. I am not. I'm begging Joe to use proper technique all the time, so that we stand a better chance of winning.
