  1. damn it!!! there goes Moses
  2. so our biggest needs as I see them Free Safety- we don't have a solid starting free safety, which the Ravens have always had for the first 17 years of the franchise. and I don't know if there are any great Free Safeties left Offensive Lineman- we need a Right tackle or Left guard preferably a Right Tackle and one who can start or truly compete for the starting job. If our new center is good and Yanda and KO get healthy a Right tackle would solidify our Offensive line again and we can get back to our strength running the football. We signed out Left Tackle of the future. I'm not as high on Munroe as some of you are but he's alright I guess. Running-back- remember when we use to be deep at this position, well not so much anymore. Ray Rice was injured last year but what's more concerning is his recent legal troubles and a possible suspension (2 games, 4 games, 6 games, 0 games I have no idea). And our 2nd string running-back is coming off a rotator cuff injury which is a big deal. Thats it, I know we signed Justin Forsett but I'm not expecting much. He has one highlight against Detroit and thats about all he has to show for his career so far. Runningback has always been the strength and the below of our offense. This is a pivotal draft pick. PIVOTAL. I still believe Ray can be a dynamic RB but if we lose him for a substantial amount of time especially for the early division games there goes the season.
  3. oh no running backs are going like hot cakes this is bad
  4. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. we need to go Lineman before its too late I'm getting worried. All the good DBs are gone and now running backs are going
  6. still plenty of RBs to draft so I'm not worried about that would really like an offensive lineman. We don't have to draft a wide receiver as far as I'm concerned. There are some positions Ravens draft really well and are great at developing, wide receiver isn't one of them stick to our strengths. I mean outside of Torrey Smith and Jermaine Lewis (really a return specialist not a WR) we don't draft solid wide receivers. Typically we have to go to free agency and grab a Boldin or a Mason. Drafts not over so will see how it plays out this is suppose to be a very deep draft. Also we weren't great against the run last year got gashed in several games. And Steelers have two power backs this year
  7. so i guess we aren't trading this year
  8. O-Line problems aren't that clear cut. We lost our pro-bwol center to retirement and got Gino who just go destroyed. Our LG we lost to injury for the season. Yanda is coming off a shoulder injury, and Eugene Munro is a serviceable LT. Oher idk what happened but he got mediocre real fast. But KO should be healthy we have a new center and Ryan Jensen will probably be RT so O-line should already be better at the start of the season. Ray Rice was hurt last year and we had O=Line issues. The concern with him is the legal issues and possible suspension. Also Pierce is coming off a rotator cuff injury which is kind of a big deal for a running back. We got problems but some were already addressed this off-season and not as clear curt as your making them out to be
  9. all the good DBs are gone we need to go O-Line or running back soon
  10. you know it doesn't hurt to draft for need sometimes. Probably a good pick but we have holes
  11. omg stop drafting lineman. do we need to move up?
  12. we need an O-lineman best safeties are gone. O-line and RB before its too late
  13. what a joke? why try to comeback than if you are going to quit after 1 conditioning work out?
  14. wait free hot chocolate?!
  15. not really surprised. I think he's gonna need a trainer or life coach for a few weeks/months so he can get back and football shape. Hopefully his life is together off the field
  16. I'm optimistic about this, but will see
  17. We wanted to resign Ellerbe but it was out of our control. Dolphins overpaid for him and had way more cap space. Boldin is a head scratcher. No one foresaw Pitta or Jacoby being injured but as I said earlier this is the NFL you need depth in case of injuries. And Boldin was our most consistent WR. I doubt we would win the Super Bowl but I think he would of helped us get at least two more wins. The O-Line was bad thanks to Gino and no K.O, and hurt even more in the running game than the passing game. There was a stretch of games when Torrey Smith was the only sure handed target we had. And while Torrey is a great receiver who stepped up big last year he isn't as sure handed as Boldin was. I like Marlon Brown who certainly stepped up but he was an undrafted rookie who needs time to develop. Boldin was tough durable and reliable. So its not even debatable he would have helped us out last year. But its over and last season was a wash time to move on. Its a shame because our defense really came together and if the offense had been at least decent we probably would have made the playoffs
  18. just wait for the draft at this point hopefully we get another good DL to stuff Blount
  19. So its been a year and at least for last season its clear letting Boldin go hurt the team and was a clear mistake. Who could foresee Pitta getting hurt and Jacoby going down, leaving us virtually depleted happening. But nevertheless injuries happen which is why u want depth. I know I kind of got blasted in this thread for saying what a terrible mistake this was, despite being right. I'm not bumping this thread to gloat, I just want to know after a year do we know what the real story behind Boldin's trade was, especially considering the amazing year he had? Was there some locker room tension we don't know about, or some news we didn't hear at the time? There has to be some reason for letting such a great clutch player go. I didn't like the Pollard trade but at least I could sort of justify it for whatever went on between Harbaugh and Pollard, so maybe that was necessary despite him being the enforcer of our secondary. The Boldin trade I still can't wrap my head around so was wondering if anyone had anymore insight on this other than we just messed up and our front office made one of its exceedingly rare slip ups. I know he's not coming back, and hopefully Steve Smith works out, not saying we should get him back. I'm realistic about the situation and have moved on like most fans have.
  20. well this sounds good, sounds like he'll be an upgrade over Gino. He's big, tall and experienced. Plus doesn't give up sacks. Still curious at to why he was rated so low compared to other centers. But just hope this helps to get the running game started again. No matter what anyone says we are a running football team the offense can survive a few games going all pass happy, but if we want to make it back to the big game we need to at least have an adequate run game.
  21. oh I agree, best GM in the league. Still human though, was a mistake to let Anquan go, especially if we don't bring Reed back
  22. or vice versa
  23. I'm right until I'm wrong
  24. yeah that Anquan move is looking great now, isn't it? Ozzie is the best GM in the league I won't deny that, but this was a mistake. Now Jameel has to get healthy. Also if we don't resign Ed Reed I'm gonna lose it. I hope Boldin bombs his physical on purpose so the trade is null in void, but it won't happen the man has too much integrity. We are really going to miss the veteran leadership we've lost.
