So its been a year and at least for last season its clear letting Boldin go hurt the team and was a clear mistake. Who could foresee Pitta getting hurt and Jacoby going down, leaving us virtually depleted happening. But nevertheless injuries happen which is why u want depth. I know I kind of got blasted in this thread for saying what a terrible mistake this was, despite being right. I'm not bumping this thread to gloat, I just want to know after a year do we know what the real story behind Boldin's trade was, especially considering the amazing year he had? Was there some locker room tension we don't know about, or some news we didn't hear at the time? There has to be some reason for letting such a great clutch player go. I didn't like the Pollard trade but at least I could sort of justify it for whatever went on between Harbaugh and Pollard, so maybe that was necessary despite him being the enforcer of our secondary. The Boldin trade I still can't wrap my head around so was wondering if anyone had anymore insight on this other than we just messed up and our front office made one of its exceedingly rare slip ups. I know he's not coming back, and hopefully Steve Smith works out, not saying we should get him back. I'm realistic about the situation and have moved on like most fans have.
