  1. I know he's past his prime but I'd still pay to see the man play I love Ed. Also it's a little sad to see him go when I look at our secondary
  2. he should be suspended the whole season I'm tired of this. 4 games they still make the playoffs and its a slap on the wrist like nothing happened. suspended a season and lose a first and second round draft pick.
  3. Best Safety to ever buckle up his chin strap bar none. I miss him man I really do. I have so much love for Ed Reed. Nobody plays the game like he did. NOBODY
  4. point out a similar colossal mistake Ray and Ed made that's comparable. I will wait
  5. sure he has the talent and athleticism, but I'm never going to trust somebody that gives up a 70 yard touchdown pass on 4th and long with about 30 seconds left Thats just mental. If he had just stayed back they would have won. Jacoby's score was to tie the game. a Field Goal would have done no good and we had no time outs. So no offense but I'd take my chances with another horse.
  6. lol this Rahim Moore I'd rather Ed Reed come out of retirement first. I won't lie I really wanted us to draft this dude, but once again I'm glad Ozzie makes the decisions and not me. Might as well just find some undrafted player that could help our team. Kenny Britt is a perpetual under achiever who will only disappoint you. Would just be wasted cap space.
  7. so are we resigning Forsett or what?
  8. might as well include Elam to that list. Asa looks great in Pre-Season games, but we need true starters and depth. Our secondary was ravaged by injury this year. And if these are the names your giving me minus Webb we better pray our pass rush is lethal. Because more than 4 seconds and we going to get lit up. you've got to lead me to the light bro. Who we going to get whose going to line up on Sunday and lock it down. Next man up is great and we do it as good as anybody. But I'd like to start the season feeling good about the secondary.
  9. no no no no No to Thomas. Come on there must be a decent RB out there If we cut him our secondary is completely bare. It's Jimmy Smith and.........
  10. sure we can he's not in his prime anymore teams think he's old and broken down, maybe even a bad locker room presence. And thats where we come in we will swoop him up at a discount. Andre and Steve along with our young wrs. If we figure out the RB situation we will be solid on offense (also the tight end situation).
  11. Andre Johnson released! ANDRE JOHNSON RELEASED! GO GET HIM!!!!! LETS DO IT OZZIE!
  12. Lets be real here for a first round pick he is a bust.
  13. omg what the hell. I drafted him on my fantasy team.
  14. which generally speaking I understand and agree with, but given the NFL's past actions often coming very swiftly sometimes in the absence of legal charges this strikes me as peculiar. Obviously this is an owner so its Goodell's boss but he is a figurehead that represents the NFL and ideally should be held to a high standard. Any punishment Irsay receives will be largely ceremonial. A suspension won't effect the team, and a fine is meaningless because he's a billionaire, but these both should happened and arguably should have already happened. He shouldn't have been at the draft and he shouldn't have been at the owners meeting. Those are two very public and high profile events. I don't think he needs to announce he's getting help or anything, obviously he should but it doesn't need to be made public. Now if anythings done it will have less impact since its would just be a ceremonial punishment.
  15. Why the heck hasn't Gooddell suspended Irsay yet?
  16. No Andre Johnson is on the decline and would be too much of a cap hit. Plus you got to factor in locker room and player chemistry.
  17. why do people keep talking about KO switching? than we won't have a LG. Don't give me Shipley or Gino at LG either they both got blown up consistently last season. I don't need to see Gino or Shipley starting again
  18. I want KO at LG. Jah Reid won't get it and no way I'm expecting the late round pick to start. any word on David Mimms?
  19. so how good is Ricky Wagner, because he;s gonna be the starting right tackle
  20. first time I'm not pumped for a Ravens draft. Wish we got Zac Martin
  21. jeez y'all got me depressed. I'm not sure if its cause of everything I'm hearing from you guys or I'm just disappointed we didn't address any of our gaping holes
  22. can Brooks start? He wasn't on my board
  23. well we went defense again. Finally got a free Safety. This dude is fast we lost Ed Dickson. And our offense was pretty bad last year do to injury. Even if we were totally healthy last year doubt we could have made a serious playoff run. We never filled the Boldin void last season we just wanted Pitta to over compensate. We got two over the hill players in Dallas Clark and Stockley. Marlon Brown stepped up nicely. Aaron Mellete got injured. And for some reason we just stopped playing Deonte Thompson
  24. just visited the site. Dude basically said all our picks are terrible from the website: Baltimore Ravens: Timmy Jernigan, NT, Florida State: C+ Grade Timmy Jernigan is apparently going to play nose tackle because he makes no sense as a five-technique in Baltimore. The Ravens actually wanted to add a nose tackle to challenge Terrence Cody so they could move Haloti Ngata outside, so this does make sense as a scheme fit, despite what Todd McShay said during ESPN's telecast. It just wasn't expected - and I thought Jernigan would drop because of his failed drug test. We spoke to a couple of teams that took Jernigan, Zach Mettenberger and the other players who tested positive off their board. Baltimore may have been able to obtain Jernigan in the third round. Baltimore Ravens: C.J. Mosley, ILB, Alabama: C Grade I hate to question Ozzie Newsome, but I'm not a fan of this pick. Trusted sources who wouldn't smokescreen us told us that they had C.J. Mosley in the second round because C.J. Mosley was damaged goods. We actually spoke to two teams that thought Mosley would be available in the second round. The pick makes sense for need purposes, and Mosley could pan out, but this selection has a very high bust rate.
  25. Our )-Line should automatically be better if everyone is healthy and our new center actually plays center unlike Gino. I think people are expecting a little too much from Steve Smith he is 34 years old. And Owen Daniels is 31. I just hope Jacoby and Pitta stay healthy. Jacoby and Torrey are our deep threats. Torrey is really blooming into an all around solid receiver. Pitta's basically our possession receiver/TE. Steve Smith's gonna be slot. and Daniels will be another body to catch the ball. He's got better hands than Dickson but he can't block. so I'm not seeing big improvement in our WRs and TEs. It's still basically Torrey, Jacoby and Pitta. Hopefully Marlon Brown or another young WR steps out and Steve Smith and Owen Daniels can contribute when needed. It comes down to the run, we are and always have been a running football team if we can get back to that everything else should start to jell. Personally I'd love to add another poses ion receivers, a strong big bodied guy who can catch contested balls. Since Boldin left all we really have is Pitta and ideally we need at least one more really strong sure handed weapon to compliment Joe's skillet.
