God be near to Todd's other children and allow Todd and his wife to comfort each other and their children.
It must seem impossible.

Been watching more of Chris Wormley ....Ravens apparently have interest.
Fast and athletic especially for a huge guy... Six five and three hundred pounds. Good anchor, good arm extension. Does a nice job of finding ball while engaged.
Much better inside pass rusher than he is at DE....not explosive enough to win with speed outside but has bull rush and a sort of arm over move when rushing from inside that proves effective.
I like him against the run...don't love him. Doesn't jump off film. Sometimes loses outside contain. Decent motor, not more...
I see him as more a part of a rotation year one. Probably should go in the third round.....late.

It's on you tube. As I recall there is no matchup. Barnett plays left end for most of the game.
I'm taking this opportunity to re bang the drum or stand on the table for Malik McDowell.
I'm hoping only for Reddick before him if both were on the board. Anybody know how many sacks collected by Jernigan, Guy, and Brandon Williams?......7!
And over the last seven weeks?.....between three players on our defensive line?....ONE IN TOTAL.
Jernigan is gone, Guy is gone and we have another huge need. This has to be upgraded. McDowell is raw, he has no sense of where the ball is when engaged but he will demand attention....Crazy potential and awesome versatility.
Picture Judon, McDowell, Suggs, Kaufusi as a front on passing downs.or Judon, Pierce, Suggs, McDowell
Picture these same four with Ryan Anderson or Derek Rivers potentially in the wings coming off the edge.
....or picture a trade back in round two where we select Chris Wormley.
I really don't get Humphrey being mocked to the Eagles. I would hope they reach for him but I fully expect him to go late one or early two.
Anyway, a good mock. I do think the third round is optimistic but only slightly and those two would be a superb third round.
I prefer Davis but wouldn't argue against Williams. One thing that appeals to me is that each player you picked plays with an edge and with fire.
I would double at corner in round six....
Nice.

same with mcdowell, and the ravens like smart plaers on their football team
If we value intelligence highly, some pretty high picks of late seem to suggest otherwise.
I think we've placed a premium on guys we view as high character .....a good thing to be sure but there has ideally to be a balance.
A football smart guy that will rip your head off...
Starting to think Witherspoon doesn't make it out if round two.

Oops...not sure how that got in there. Keep calling him that for some reason.

That being said I think we go a much safer route- esp with our first pick. We do really need some interior pass rush with bwill and Peirce being run stuffers so I def understand the logic..I just don't think we address that with our first pick.
In terms of high potential, I see all of rounds one through five as guys that either start or earn significant snaps year one.
I see both Mathis and Stribling as guys who could do the same a year after.

He's fun to watch, no?
ROUND ONE - MALIK MCDOWELL, MICHIGAN ST. ...EVERYWHERE/ DEFENSIVE LINE
He gives me pause, there is no question but I want someone that will keep coordinators antsy when preparing for The Ravens. He really should terrify them if we can get a guy who loves football.
You can move him to create mismatches but he is a mismatch generally. Love to see him develop inside counters on the edge. He would be simply unstoppable.
He is also THE interior pass rusher in this class, particularly in terms of upside. Brady in fetal position/ Roethlisberger throwing picks. McDowell helps our outside rush as he must be double teamed.
I'm not convinced by him as a person but I don't know him or anyone that knows him so in that sense I only have my gut to go on. I have my doubts, in honesty.
Could disappoint or he could be viewed as a guy who should have gone first overall.
ROUND TWO - PAT ELFLEIN- OHIO STATE, C/G
Smart, hard working starter at the center position year one.
ROUND THREE - AHKELLO WITHERSPOON - COLORADO
My guy at corner. Lots of things expressed about this guy already.
ROUND THREE - KAREEM HUNT - TOLEDO, RUNNING BACK
love this player as well. An even better Kenneth Dixon.
ROUND FOUR - RYAN SWITZER, NORTH CAROLINA - WR
obviously a different sort of receiver than Williams and Davis but we get similar production. Converts third downs. Crazy quick, excellent after the catch. Great hands.
ROUND FIVE - JOE MATHIS - WASHINGTON - OLB
A Better fit at OLB than last year's two. A little bit of a poor man's Ryan Anderson at the stage. Has struggled with injuries .
Very high pressure/ sack production over small sample size. Big time pop in his hands, has bend as edge rusher...good vs the run. A good football player who to this point has been hampered by one thing or another...Big upside.
ROUND SIX - CHANNING STRIBLING - MICHIGAN, CORNER
To me this is a steal. Good ball skills. Turns to find the ball. Willing in run support. I've always preferred him to his Michigan counterpart.
2 hours ago, usmccharles said:I don't think we touch him because of the battery legal issues
Wasn't he found not guilty?
Love Reddick. Part of me doubts we take him...would really like the pick.
Not crazy about third round. Pocic is anything but a mauler. He's athletic and smart but I wouldn't know where to play him. I don't think he's strong enough inside. He gets pancacked a lot and is not an upgrade to Zuttah....wouldn't surprise me to see the ravens take him, however.
13 minutes ago, Purple_City39 said:Quick question for anyone willing to answer. I'm the Ravens GM for a collaborative mock draft on another site, and I pick at 11:30. I'm really considering taking Ahkello Witherspoon. It's the first pick of the 3rd round and I'm not really a draft nut or college fan, so I don't have as much knowledge as others. Would that be a good pick spot for him? I've done some mild research in the last hour and so far think he has potential and won't need to be a day one starter.
If anyone is curious, the first two picks went to TJ Watt and then Ju-Ju Smith-Schuster. I don't like either at those spots (personal preference), but wasn't available for either pick as I'm an accountant working in a tax office, so both were autopicked. I really don't want them autopicking any more for Baltimore, so I'm determined to be around for every other pick
I would take him.
Dalvin Cook does more to help this team than either Mike Williams or Corey Davis.
1 hour ago, Ravenskid52752 said:One more player I'm pounding the table for Deangelo Yancey WR Purdue very underrated player good Receiver just was on a bad Purdue footabll so he's more of a late round pick 5th or 6th round.
Plus the ravens have met with him 4 times during the draft process.
Tell me why you like him?
Some late guys;
Joe Mathis- a guy who inexplicably (to me), could be drafted late. He's a better OLB prospect than the guy we picked in round two last year.
George Kittle- next to Howard, the best two way TE in the draft...
WITHERSPOON- steal of the draft...a shutdown corner.
For our pick at sixteen to be someone transformative..perhaps a not so, "safe" selection.
Haason Reddick
Dalvin Cook

Take all the things you think now and throw it away and watch him with a new perspective. Thats what happened when i took a second look at him. Oh and make sure to watch his notre dame tape when he goes up against 2 future first round picks in mglinchley(idk how to spell lol) and nelson
I don't discount his ability. But I stand by what I said.
I actually like him not a little off the edge. If he develops any sort of inside counter move he will be devastating.
To me, it comes down to whether or not he views himself as a football player foremost and can keep out of trouble with the law. Doesn't matter too much if he's a jerk as long as I get effort and production.
I have my doubts about that but might consider it worthwhile to sign a freeney or even Dumervil to mentor.

Or could very well be they dont see the traits actually transferring to a higher level of competition.
His refusal to run has always scared me. Anything in the 4.5-6 range would simply solidify his spot. Anything higher and he might leap Williams.
He looks at least that fast to me. It wouldn't surprise me to see him run 4.4
Could be a blessing so far as the ravens are concerned...the fact that he's unable to run.

Corey Davis is my favorite receiver in the draft. Puzzling that DeCosta downplayed his selection a little.
If I'm guessing it's a pretty transparent omission.

I can say unabashedly that I hope your first scenario plays out.
The 2nd one doesn't appeal to me.
Green Bay straight robs us by simply offering their 2. Their 2 plus a 4th rounder would be closer.
Secondly, Feeney and Derek Rivers are way undervalued in your mock.
I'd like to hear where your mock goes if your first scenario were to play out.
