Dashon Goldson likely released soon. Ravens interested?
Also pot roast linked to Ravens along with 3 other teams.
jabal sheard is a player the Ravens were interested in drafting. Roy helu is great in the screen game and a tremendous threat in space.
There are a number of quality defensive lineman available in free agency this year if Ngata walks.
We haven't seen what Wenning can do... I understand he's pretty good.... I wouldn't diss him yet at all.
I'd be a little bothered if we brought in a veteran instead of wenning at this point.
We gave up a draft pick to a division rival in last years draft so that we could have campanaro, who we could have taken in the 6th and will have wasted not one, but two picks on a back up QB assuming Wenning doesn't work out.
If he isn't the back up QB I call that move a major blunder.
Just found this two pages about T. Bradys body language and a analyze of his answers during his interview:

Thanks for posting. Interesting reads.
I find it very interesting!
As for Canty, cutting him this year would save $1.8M. Next year, it's $2.6M, I believe.
Thanks
That's certainly something to consider as well. Looking at our free agents cap for next year though, we could make it work with all 3. Torrey is literally the only guy I'd want to keep for sure out of our upcoming FA class. It's possible that we could let him play out his deal since he's really the only priority next year since Jimmy will be under the transition tag for 2015. Keep in mind that there's money to be saved from Canty and Koch next year, which could be more than enough to cover what Flowers would cost. That doesn't even include Ngata and the expected cap increase.
I think it might be wise to get Jimmy done sooner rather than later. His price is likely to sky rocket if he has a pro bowl year and we wait. i agree that torrey is the more immediate and pressing but i don't know about waiting too long.
On a side note; I know we would eat some money but would there be cap ramifications if we were to release canty?
Yeah we could certainly structure it to make it work.
I think we need to consider what it might cost to sign jimmy and Torrey Smith to long term deals at some point. which to me probably makes flowers too expensive. If all of that can happen and somehow we can sign Flowers I'd be all for it.
"Boldin trade",
if it wasn't for the Boldin trade marlon Brown would have seen no time at receiver, may not have made the team. I know this was fortuitous and not a planned consequence of the trade. just an observation.
If someone got on a forum board that represents your job and what you do for a living, then posted how incompetent you are at what you do and criticized how bad you are at doing it, despite them having no experience, no understanding, no idea how to even do your job, i bet your double standard wouldn't apply then. I'd be willing to bet you wouldn't take what those people had to say seriously because how could you? In fact I'd even be willing to bet you would considered those people to be babbling, ignorant little idiots who don't know what the hell theyre talking about.
I agree
Jernigan is a steal.
Thats a lot of question marks, and a big reason why I'm concerned about the draft.
I might have missed this but who do you feel we should have drafted now that we've seen where everyone landed?
i do wish he was a couple of years younger but remember mason was still balling for us at his age.
What concerns me is still the center position. its clear now that the draft is where ozzie is looking for a FS. we need to take mack away from cleveland.
I don't see how we can afford to spend so much on him give our cap situation. hope so.
why is this entire board SO PRESSED on signing a old WR, or a average at best WR in FA, because that will somehow make it a smart move for us to ignore WR in the draft? this is the best WR draft there has been in years, there is a ton of talent in the first 2 rounds, why ignore that to draft an incredibly weak position like safety, when safety is clearly the smarter position to address in free agency? i dont see the logic, at all, steve smith in no way, shape or form, would make us "set" at WR, he is a 1-2 year stop gap and we need a reliable, well rounded WR of the future instead of all these short term plugs and roleplaying "weapons" we have. im all for signing smith, but i dont want to sign the guy because that makes ozzie say "ok now lets ignore the best position in this entire draft to fill our other holes" . if we get a stop gap free agent, obviuously safety and center would be the positions, not WR.
I am sort of with you. Not super excited about the possibility of signing Smith for a few reasons. Mainly because he's nearly 35 and even if he does have something left, it is as you say a stop gap.
I came onto this forum and was literally about to write the same post as you. Being from Northern Virginia all I ever heard was how bad Kyle Shanahan was and how the redskins offense sucked. But same as you after digging into him a little bit Shanahan is the guy I want. The reason is this, he worked in a pass first offense in Houston and then a run first offense in Washington. This guy knows how to implement systems to get the most out of his players. He has Andre Johnson and Matt Shaub in Houston, so he makes that offense into a top 5 passing offense in the league. He has RGIII and robert Morris in Washington, he turns that into a top 5 rushing offense in the league. With Flacco, hopefully a new receiving weapon, and a revamped offensive line, I really actually believe Shanahan could be the guy to boost the Ravens offense well into the top half of the league
I agree. Kyle implemented a system two years ago in washington that was successful in college football annd suddenly other teams followed suit (Seahawks,49ers,etc.). I believe he will run a system for us that puts an emphasis on getting guys open and utilizing the players he has instead of trying to force a system. I see him running an attacking offense here that keeps teams guessing.

You're not. I think he could go first round (Eagles) but I think we could do better in round one.
