  1. Sorry. A hunch that they are ......and that I fear they are.

I've only connected dots. Jernigan leaves....Harbaugh connection ....the fact that we've met with him twice, ( along with only two other players).

I'd say they are interested in him. Don't like it but this feels like the type of guy we've picked of late.

Perhaps with a 2nd round trade back....maybe the third but he's getting tons of second round hype recently.

I will say that I will raise an eyebrow if we have 2-3 + draft picks from Alabama and Michigan.

Jernigans  being traded, I think had not a little to do with his relationship with Harbaugh.

I would hope Jim Harbaughs influence does not extend to Ozzie.

To be fair, Wormley will be a solid pro but THERE is no way he's a 2nd round pick.

I can live with Robinson, I'd be really pissed if we took him over a lot of available guys and didn't move back, but I can understand it, despite how much I don't like it.

However... he and wormley 1 and 2 is gg for me. I'd be done. We need a boost in the run game and we need OL improvement in general, what we don't need is another meatshield on the DL to eat blocks and let substandard players fail to handle the 1on1 opportunities said meatshield grants them, what we need is some players who just match up well and can beat guys without the DLs help, make everyone better across the front by bringing an elite threat, rather than freeing up weak players with large players who DONT pose a threat because they're too damn slow and lumbering to rush the passer.

Add the fact that wormley simply isn't a round 2 talent compounds all of that

They are targeting Wormley. That's been my fear for weeks.

I've been warming up to takk McKinley after watching more film. I love the way he just takes blockers on a ride against their will, like he just kidnaps dudes and says "you're coming with me boi" and drags them to the backfield. And he breaks free from blocks without even using any disengage tactics, he just violently shoves dudes off of him.

I would really have to hope that Suggs teaches this young man everything he can, he seems like a bright young man and obviously a workaholic, nobody with that effort level is gonna be slacking at any point. And the way he closes in and eats up ground is just amazing.

It's also loads of fun to watch him get turned around by blockers and see him recklessly flail to get squared back up without losing ground. When he got spun around against ASU and he just blindly leaped in the air with the slim hope that he could bat a pass I just laughed... hopefully he can harness that desire and turn it into something a little more thoughtful lol. With the likely bs rumors of takk being high on our board I can't say I'd be too disappointed after a second and third thought

    You're funny, man.

I think we talk ourselves into a slide of some imagined abject difference maker at sixteen when you're really fortunate to find a CJ Mosley.

I think we view Takkarist as a guy we know will generate pressure and as a guy that is already a good run defender...really underrated in that regard.

His floor is probably six or seven sacks per year with multiple pressures but his ceiling could be 12- 15 if he can learn how to set tackles up for that burst and get any sort of inside moves. He could be a lot stronger than he shows on tape due to the effects of him having a torn labrum.

Add to that a guy that just comes at the guy across from relentlessly all game, a great Ravens type player and a work ethic guys will want to measure up to and he could be an even better pick at sixteen than CJ.

I would love to see us double up later with Mathis in round four or five.

  5. Bengals - 11 picks

    Browns - 12 picks

    Steelers - 8 picks.

Bengals are in good position to make a run at the division, particularly if they draft well.

Possibly John Ross or Dalvin Cook at nine. Either would be a handful.

On defense I can see them getting Reddick, Barnett, or Foster.

Pittsburgh could end up with McDowell, Watt...Budda Baker would be a nice pairing with last year's second rounder.

Man, I'd like to be more optimistic but we have a lot of catching up to do personnel wise.

1 We haven't drafted particularly well of late

2 we've allowed certain players to walk that to an outsider, would have made sense to retain, consequently opening new holes that need filling.

3 we have not one player on either side of the ball that gives our opponents even moderate consternation.

On paper, we are AT LEAST a year away ....if we do everything right.

This draft ought to change this teams direction. My pause comes to play in that I feel our FO may be drafting more to fill needs than drafts of old.

    Drafting to save their jobs.

I think one really tough thing for teams is that a player like Dalvin Cook is the model teammate and a great person on field... he's just dumb off the field. How do you weigh that?

I think if he goes to Tampa, it'll be trouble since he'll be so close to home.

We probably aren't drafting him but there is a pretty good chance he is the best player on the board at sixteen.

He positively impacts our entire football team more than any wide receiver would.

If there was any year for us to move back and get more picks, it should have been last year but this year will work also.

We aren't just one player away from winning a Super Bowl. We are probably a handful of players away. It would have been nice last year to do it, but this year could work also.

Our FO was so enamored with the flexibility last year's round afforded, I'd be surprised if they aren't planning to revisit.

  8. I tend to agree with everyone's assessment for the most part regarding Bowser but would take him a little later.

Bold is the only one, I think that mentioned him being raw and a projection. I tend to agree.

What I see in the positive, and this largely echoes the consensus, is that he is probably special in coverage. Really good instincts in zone and athletic enough to cover certain backs and tight ends. Very intuitive player in that regard.

Does a nice job of extending arms to engage while keeping eyes in the backfield.

Good jolt in hands but I find him puzzling....really not a physical tackler or strong finisher against the run.

Has speed off the edge but to me, he looks to have much more of a plan coming off the right side. He seems very unnatural and unsure of himself rushing  left tackle. He is at times unsure how to engage and appears as a wide receiver trying beat press coverage.

I'm very intrigued by the versatility he offers straightaway and help but get excited about the "what ifs". I think there's likely a better player/pass rusher available at that point in the second round.

I'd be surprised if we took him without moving and to me, he's a late two/early three.

  9. 1- M.Garrett

    2- Leonard Fournette

    3- J. Adams

    4- Lattimore

    5-  OJ Howard

    6- M. Hooker

    7- Solomon Thomas

    8 - Dalvin Cook

    9 - Jonathan Allen

    10- Mike Williams

    11- Derek Barnett

    12 - Mitchell Trubisky

    13- Corey Davis

    14- Gareon Conley

    15- Garrett Bolles

Without further ado, the draft that starts us toward our next Super Bowl victory --( 2019  sounds about right)

    16 - HAASON REDDICK

Physical and versatile linebacker out of Temple. Plays inside next to CJ and brought off the edge on certain downs.

great speed, heady chase linebacker, good coverage skills. Can see him off the edge on downs with Jefferson filling hybrid linebacker role and Webb at safety. I would expect the Ravens gradually move this guy to a full time OLB in year two, adding additional weight.

ROUND TWO, SYDNEY JONES, CB WASHINGTON

A first round, top fifteen pick available in round two. No way we should pass on a player that may prove the best in a very deep class. It's a steal, no matter the injury.

ROUND THREE, AKHELLO WITHERSPOON, CB, COLORADO

We have one of the better group of defensive backs in 2017. In 2018 and moving forward, we have the best.

Sidney, Tavon, Jimmy and Akhello....good luck.

ROUND THREE, KAREEM HUNT RB, TOLEDO

I have a pretty good idea we see Ozzie trade back here, take Hunt toward the back of the round and cleft an additional pick.

In any case, I can't say enough good stuff about this back. Complete back. Great balance...breaks tackles and drags would be tackler. Better than Kenneth Dixon coming out.

ROUND FOUR JORDAN MORGAN, G KUTZTOWN

A tough, nasty guard prospect. A very athletic collegiate tackle who will likely move inside. I like him very much as a run blocker and think he could be a starter next to Stanley. Difficult to tell with certainty (for me), as he clearly faced a lower level of competition.

ROUND FIVE - JON TOTH, C , KENTUCKY

It wouldn't surprise me if we added Mangold this year and groom Toth to be the starting Center for a decade following.

    smart, tough football player.

    ROUND  SIX JORDAN WESTERKAMP, WISCONSIN,WR

Really believe in this player. Probably earns only special teams snaps year one as he is coming off injury and likely won't be available for training camp. Fearless going across the middle, great route runner, great hands...competes and wins jump balls as routine.

I don't really know players value/stock, so I use big boards and Moton is generally outside the top 100, so that automatically puts him in the fourth. Couple that with the lack of quality footwork and being pegged into a man scheme and I think he could fall. I had him in the fourth in my last mock, but with these day three guys, you just never know where they'll go.

I have no desire to phase Joe out, honestly, unless he continues his current play. I think he's capable of so much more, but this is two years in a row that he's showed shaky play. If he goes on for another year or two with mediocre play, I think Peterman could eventually take over. Plus, as the Patriots showed, is there really any harm to taking one?

I like that you mocked a quarterback. I can't recall anyone else doing that.

Jimmy was stuck to one scheme as much as Humphrey seems to be. Jimmy was a press man corner and Humphrey is a off zone kinda guy, but both coming out with the same exact issues. If not for nagging injuries then jimmy probably would've been killing it by year 2. He finished his second season by literally making every play on the SB goal line stand. I don't think it's fair to say that because it took him time to catch on that he wasn't a good pick, it's pretty obvious that he's been one of the best picks in the harbaugh era. Also if Humphrey takes a year or so to catch on, that's fine. We have a starting cb group and a starting safety tandem plus depth, if Humphrey doesn't become a starter til year 3 it's no harm no foul because we have 3 starting corners already

"If Humphrey doesn't start by year three, no harm no foul "..... This is ridiculous. You can't possibly believe that.

If we draft any position at 16 and he doesn't start for three years, we made a mistake. Period.
