  1. ROUND ONE - LINEBACKER, HAASON REDDICK, TEMPLE

Much has already been said about this guy, by myself and by others so I won't gush on too much.

Pair him with CJ, send him on interior blitzes or off the edge on passing downs. The thing is, it will be difficult to know whether he is coming or dropping as he does both well.

ROUND TWO,  OLB, RYAN ANDERSON, ALABAMA

Rounds one and two reset the course of this defense . Versatile, physical, passionate players who harass opposing quarterbacks and punish ball carriers.

ROUND THREE, CB, AKHELLO WITHERSPOON, COLORADO

My second favorite corner.....actually if we get him in the third he is definitely my favorite. Uncanny knack for recognizing routes. see him as a guy who won't get burned the same way twice. Always in position, great make up speed.......and...a lousy tackler. Absolutely first round cover talent.

ROUND THREE, ( COMPENSATORY) , WR, RYAN SWITZER, NORTH CAROLINA

A quarterbacks best friend on third down. Great hands, very good after catch....silly quickness to get open. Very productive...

ROUND FOUR, RB, KAREEM HUNT, TOLEDO

Similar to Dixon...but he's a better player on tape to me right now than Dixon ( who I like).

    ROUND FIVE, C, JON TOTH

A guy I like quite a bit ..tough, experienced SEC player. Our starter at the center.

ROUND SIX, CB, CHANNING STRIBLING, MICHIGAN

I'm not hearing one word one about this guy and puzzling . To me, in most drafts he's a third rounder. Long press corner who use length effectively to make up for average speed.

The thingy I love about him is that he turns, finds, and makes plays on the ball. A peeve of mine is a corner that can't do this....and there are a lot of them.

Pretty slight build but physical and willing in the run game.

  2. Rivers vs. West Virginia :

The tape is strange in that in the three instances where he generates pressure, the footage sort of begins post snap making it difficult to see exactly how he got there....could be just me.

Against the run he is essentially mitigated by WVU rt. Four or five times he gets moved and they run right at him. Other times he fails to set edge and run goes outside him.

Based on the two games from 2016...I'd say he looks developmental. I like college Judon a lot more.

Heard Kiper say he thinks someone will take him in the second so what do I know.

Anderson should be in round 2 but I seriously doubt he can be had if we stay put. Ideally, we take top guy at any position with #16 and then move up to high 2nd to grab Anderson.

There is a decent shot he's there for us without making a move.

I have us taking Reddick in 1 followed with Anderson in 2.

So is he more of a Harris/takk guy meaning he's not only unpolished but also stiff? Or is he more of a Tim williams who shows good iq and instincts and bend?

Lesser competition but....you can see his strength and speed off the edge in northern iowa film. Straight up bullies the RT multiple times with strength then blows right by him and takes qb off his feat.

Clearly has ball get off. Not enthused by him against the run in this game.

    Apparently was exceptional at combine.

  5. Zach Cunningham :

Really excels at getting off and getting through or around blocks to make plays.

Has quite a bit of power in hands despite his frame. Very fast to the ball ..makes decision and flies.

Good coverage linebacker...athletic generally. Not very effective as pass rusher.

Seems very susceptible to getting sucked in on play action...Seems to assume run and gets burned in each of three games I saw.

Not a physical tackler despite being physical in taking on and shedding blocks. Tends to go high ...usually gets ball carrier down but was particularly ineffective vs.Tennessee.

So Chad Reuter just did a 5 round mock on NFL.com and its awful for us. (IMO at least).

Dont think i like or understand a single pick made for us.

    RD 1 - John Ross

But Malik Hooker and Reuben Foster were still on the board.

    RD 2- Cordrea Tankersly

Prob my least favorite of the "2nd tier" CB's. Has us taking him, which i find to be a reach, with guys like Feeney, Tim Williams, Malik McDowell, Lawson, Marlon Humphrey, Budda Baker, and Sidney Jones still on the baord.

    RD 3 (1) - Ethan Pocic

Not only do i think Elflein is the better player, but also a much better fit for what we want to do with our OL. He doesnt have Elflein picked at all in the first 5 rounds. Plus, guys like Godwin, Des King, Dorian Johnson, Duke Riley, Eluemunor, Kazee, and Kupp all still on the board.

    RD 3 (2) - Ryan Anderson

Actually dont hate this... though id like it even more if we had hit on a pass rush specialist somewhere else. The two could platoon one side. I see him becoming a legit 3 down player with enough pass rush ability to keep on the field, and eventual replacement for Suggs, but i dont see him being a big threat off the edge right away.

Other guys still on the board that go off before our next pick - Witherspoon, Adam Shaheen, Marcus Williams

RD 4 - Jamaal Williams, RB

Dont like this pick much at all. Several RBs i like just as much if not more later. Players we miss out on: Marcus Maye, Corn Elder, Treston Decoud, Howard Wilson, Joe WIlliams, Marlon Mack, DJ Jones, Bisnowaty, Asiata,

RD 5 - Freddie Stevenson, FB

I get we lost Juice... but going RB/FB rounds 4-5 makes no sense to me at all. We have a cpl guys that can fill the FB void, and Woodhead gives us a legit 3rd down back that can protect before slipping out of the backfield. Dont view RB as much of a need or even want unless its a potential star at a value spot (Fournette, Cook/McCaffery in the 2nd) or a homerun hitter (Cohen late).

FB i see no reason to draft. Not many teams use a FB anymore, so i cant see much competition to draft one... should have your pick of the litter in UDFA and should have a leg up in getting them to sign with us, as we offer a great opportunity for them then almost any other team.

And Dalvin Tomlinson was picked after this.... and even though we signed BWill, thats just too good of value to pass up at this point imo. Not to mention Elflein was still on the board...

Horrible mock. I hope he's on point with the players he projects to be available at our selection.

    1) Hooker

    2) Feeney/Williams

    3) Godwin

Hard to believe a guy would be on point about that.

I think it takes a lot of work and effort to intentionally make yourself look like you're an idiot just for the joy of thinking you're actually fooling anybody.

Six months ago he was forming coherent thoughts in actually readable sentences or phrases.

    Its trolling 101.

"...between him and jerigan they made half a ngata......."

Equal parts Sam Clemens and Yogi Berra.

Has anyone seen Casserly's latest mock? Has the Ravens taking Corey Davis and the Browns end up with Myles Garrett, OJ Howard, and Mitchell Trubitsky. All three of those players the Browns get are the best at each respective position. I would love to see that type of draft haul for the Browns. Also I am a big Corey Davis fan so I would like to see him here.

Huh? Why would you love that for the Browns?

I too was on beckhams bandwagon but Beckham was a much better catcher. Ross is still a "drop it in the bucket" type of catcher and regardless of how fast or shifty he is, he still needs to attack the ball and be able to beat safeties who are gonna be assigned to play him deep, most NFL safeties don't get beaten deep, it take confusion and play design to beat a safety deep, very rarely can one players route running do that, and when the safety stays disciplined you need a guy to make a tough catch.

Another thing to consider is that joe jus struggles to hit guys in stride, we need to accept it, Ross is gonna need a very precise timing style qb to be able to use his YAC game because it will take some serious lead throws to hit a 4.22 guy in stride. I prefer a guy who is gonna be able to catch the ball no matter where joe may place it on a given play. If he has a tendency to slow a dude up on his route a little, then a big bodied and big catch radius becomes a lot more valuable

Not a happy commentary on our QB.

  10. If Witherspoon tackles better he is a top 20 pick . Can't believe how underrepresented this guy is.....but if it means we get him in round 3 I'm glad about it.

Really want us to get this guy. Shut down talent.

2nd best cover corner in the draft and I believe he has upside.

  11. Most of the names being offered above are legitimate first round prospects. Some may be reached for within the first round but the majority are first rounders nonetheless.

Two I see above that I would agree should not be taken in the first are Melifonwu and certainly Jordan Willis.

Why is Jamal Adams expected to fall now? If he was injured at his pro day I haven't heard anything about it.

I don't think he is. Really just conjecture. I'm not convinced about two safeties going top ten and I don't think Adams tape was as impressive in 2016.....thinking a team might go somewhere else with the expectation that they can get Peppers/Baker/Melifonwu or maybe even thompson later.

Adams is better than those guys but perhaps not by as wide a margin for a team in the top ten.

Sounds good to me if they are not going to be able to extend him and just end up letting him go in free agency next year then try and get something for him. I would like to keep Jernigan but at what price.

But if he plays his way out of Baltimore this coming year then we likely get a 3rd/4th round comp pick for him anyway...

There is always the possibility that Jernigan plays his best football in a contract year....gets 7 or 8 sacks AND yields a third round compensatory pick next year.

that's absolutely fine - i absolutely prefaced the whole post with how long it would be - i titled this topic as a "bible" of sorts so that people can revisit a decent version of my board and a mock at will for reference

anyway: im not sure entirely about arizona going qb but i think that 2 qbs are going before our pick in some combination or other - and if they dont id be surprised, honestly, if john ross, a lineman or maybe taco charlton dont get reached on ahead of our pick in stead - in terms of that pick specifically though i thought the cardinals would be happy with carson palmer but i took a quick visit round the cardinals-centric media and the fans at least seem to be clamouring for a first round qb if watson/trubisky are available at 13 - if anything the fan worries on those sites seems to be that neither of those guys might make it...

it made me think how we, as a fanbase, are preparing for maybe a no-qb top 15 and yet there are other fanbases terrified that 2/3 qbs are going before 13 - some fanbases are scared that trubisky might be gone before the 6th pick despite the jets being in love with him - different fanbases evidently have different fears and id much rather their's be more realistic because it helps us out tenfold

all this does though is highlights just how likely the top teams in the draft are going to try and trade down from their picks - i just dont see anyone except maybe the browns and jets who would take up those offers...

in terms of lawson: i picked him because i feel like his talent is too strong at that point to turn down but obviously mentioned anderson because he was still on the board and available - i felt strongly that one of those two edge rushers would be good value at that pick (or evan engram if neither were available) - id love to have carl lawson because i think he's a ridiculous playmaker but obviously the worry is the injuries although i dont see them as being much more serious than john ross's

in terms of moreau: i really think the 3rd round is going to be the cornerback sweet spot because some of the higher ranked corners will drop because there's so many that the really needy teams will already have grabbed one and the non-needy teams will try and wait for value... so even if moreau isnt the pick i could see 2 corners in this round just because i think the value of cam sutton, jourdan lewis (if he's still on the ravens board), rasul douglas, cordrea tankersley, howard wilson, akello witherspoon, damontae kazee are similar enough to warrant their being selected close to each other - id prefer some of those later guys in the 4th but if we got 2 in the 3rd id be happy - in pretty much any combination of the above guys

jon toth i like, and im not sure he would be available in the 5th round if im brutally honest - but i could see the ravens maybe grabbing a 4th round DT or WR or even another corner (if they didnt get 2 in the 3rd) or a pass rusher if they were to then grab toth in the 5th

Well, I am fairly confident that two quarterbacks will go before we pick. If for no other reason than that recent history suggests they will.

The two guys I like are Mahomes and Trubisky but I could see someone falling for Watson. I guess if you need one, you could cross your fingers until the second but those guys, if you like them, will be gone.

Yeah, I'd probably be hoping for a QB at 16 in a different year.
