  1. Teldrick Morgan, WR- MARYLAND. Talented player that The Ravens supposedly high on. Matt Waldman did a breakdown on him as well.
  2. McDowell needs to improve his ability to find the ball when engaged. That doesn't seem to be part of his game yet. He will beat his man and lose sight of ball carrier. Sort of puts his head down and tends to ignore everything but the guy in front of him. Haven't watched him in a while but I remember at least two games where he didn't play well and really was pushed around, mostly at 5T. Generally, you had better double team this guy on third down and this is no small thing to me. Pretty sure he can develop more in the run game. Defense has severely missed getting pressure up the middle. This guy can win and win quickly and I'm very intrigued by the thought of him at sixteen.
  3. For whatever is to be made of this, The Ravens, according to Walter football, have met more than one time with only three players ; 1)Chris Wormley - DE MICHIGAN this smells like a Ravens pick... 2) Deangelo Yancey, WR PURDUE ( watched only one game on this guy and couldn't bring myself to watch another). 3) Takkarist McKinley
  4. McDowell seems like more of an under the radar pick to me at this point....for us at least. Have we met with the guy? Love his versatility....he's a guy that can keep Brady from being able to step up...maybe THE guy in this class. You guys REALLY think they take this guy at 16?
  5. I didn't say I wanted him....only trying to predict a curve ball. Second round is rich for me as well.
  6. It's only a question of WHICH Michigan player(s) we take....how far under the radar. That's where I look first when considering under the radar players(not that Wormley is )....
  7. We will take a player from Michigan based on Harbaugh connection. Wormley?
  8. If Kelly is straight I would definitely take him late.
  9. This is ill conceived
  10. "Chucking it in the general vicinity".... is not something a franchise QB should specialize in. Another reason I don't like Ross for us is Joe's lack of accuracy deep...he is severely prone to under throws and Ross is not ideally framed to take balls away from a defensive back.
  11. Assuming no slide, these are seven players I think worthy at sixteen: Lamp Reddick Davis/Ross (one or the other) Tim Williams Cook Conley McKinley Someone will likely slide, of course.....I would guess Barnett or Foster...perhaps Howard. Here is how I would order the aforementioned : Reddick McKinley Lamp Davis Conley Williams Cook
  12. Titans need a WR but it doesn't seem smart to take one with their first pick. I heard they are high on Njouku
  13. DeCosta said something to the effect of : " some people think he's good...some people like him..." Kind of strange.
  14. By that rationale each and every corner in the Pac 12(every conference, actually)is at disadvantage. I don't buy that as an explanation at to how he might be raw in coverage. Not at all.
  15. He may lack experience but he isn't raw in coverage. He is out on the island and shuts guys down. Picks are great, obviously but it doesn't tell the whole tale. He understands routes and makes plays on the ball....a lot. Can't argue he's a rail.
  16. He is better. (Witherspoon) Not sure how he is being slept on nationally but it was clear to me a while ago how talented he is. He has upside, one would have to think, against the run, given some work and strength conditioning.
  17. I'm with you. On the field he is everything the FO appears to want in a playmaker. If there's a guy in this draft that will give coordinators more sleepless nights in preparation, I don't know who it is.
  18. I believe he has all three receivers going, along with McCaffrey and OJ Howard before we pick.
  19. Nfl network replaying Christmas vs. Steelers right now. Flacco is masterful in this game. This is the standard by which he should be measured. This is what he's capable of and it needs to happen more routinely .
  20. Draft day....one of the great films of our time.....or any time.
  21. It would be nice to package all but one for a 2nd round pick and select bucky Hodges. Isn't there a shaky rookie GM in Jacksonville that we could exploit?......Carson, is his last name if I remember.
  22. Eagles have to feel they made a good trade.
  23. Maybe Allen will slide....genius.
  24. ROUND ONE - LINEBACKER, HAASON REDDICK, TEMPLE Much has already been said about this guy, by myself and by others so I won't gush on too much. Pair him with CJ, send him on interior blitzes or off the edge on passing downs. The thing is, it will be difficult to know whether he is coming or dropping as he does both well. ROUND TWO, OLB, RYAN ANDERSON, ALABAMA Rounds one and two reset the course of this defense . Versatile, physical, passionate players who harass opposing quarterbacks and punish ball carriers. ROUND THREE, CB, AKHELLO WITHERSPOON, COLORADO My second favorite corner.....actually if we get him in the third he is definitely my favorite. Uncanny knack for recognizing routes. see him as a guy who won't get burned the same way twice. Always in position, great make up speed.......and...a lousy tackler. Absolutely first round cover talent. ROUND THREE, ( COMPENSATORY) , WR, RYAN SWITZER, NORTH CAROLINA A quarterbacks best friend on third down. Great hands, very good after catch....silly quickness to get open. Very productive... ROUND FOUR, RB, KAREEM HUNT, TOLEDO Similar to Dixon...but he's a better player on tape to me right now than Dixon ( who I like). ROUND FIVE, C, JON TOTH A guy I like quite a bit ..tough, experienced SEC player. Our starter at the center. ROUND SIX, CB, CHANNING STRIBLING, MICHIGAN I'm not hearing one word one about this guy and puzzling . To me, in most drafts he's a third rounder. Long press corner who use length effectively to make up for average speed. The thingy I love about him is that he turns, finds, and makes plays on the ball. A peeve of mine is a corner that can't do this....and there are a lot of them. Pretty slight build but physical and willing in the run game.
  25. Overall I like this draft a lot. It's a pretty serious investment in our line and in Joe. My biggest gripe is that the DB is underrepresented. We are a Jimmy Smith injury away from being in pretty much the same predicament as last season. In this draft, I'd like to think we could land two starter quality corners. Love the Ejuan Price pick. I like all your picks except Goforth.....question as to whether Elfleien is there mid 3 but I could be wrong on that. Good mock.
