  1. I don't get the anti-Upshaw contingent. To actually say that this guy doesn't play like a Raven is mystifying.
  2. Still a long way off, obviously but I think it depends a little on Campanaro's health. I really don't trust that Campanaro can stay healthy but I have a sense that the Ravens love him(Campanaro) and are willing to be patient. If Campanaro is unhealthy, I think Carter makes it. So many good receivers....not wishing an injury but it makes me wonder how some of these young receivers(hardy/butler/Waller,etc.) might be stashed for next year.
  3. It is beyond ridiculous that he was actually asked about dropped passes and made to offer an explanation as to why he dropped them. Why on earth he was made to answer is now made clear; so that a thoroughly ridiculous article about nothing could be written. Stay tuned for: "Maxx Williams and Nick Boyle tell us how they allowed themselves to be stripped of the ball".
  4. It's really a shame that a reporter would have the nerve to ask such a question. It's borderline offensive.
  5. I'm more worried about his nodding and winking at retirement and all of the "13 is 13" talk than I am about him needing to drop ten or so.
  6. Would have liked to have heard more observations on Dumervil from other players. Nice to hear guys talk about he and Suggs but.....
  7. Marlon brown has worked hard to be a good special teams player and has become a very good blocker. He has shown, if nothing else as a receiver that he will catch the ball. He knows how to get directly up field after the catch, and I like him in the clutch. In short, he is a good football player and I don't get the bashing.
  8. Notably the injury to Wagner has me in wait and see mode. I'd like to see more out of both Zuttah and Monroe.
  9. What remains to be seen is if we continue to be an offense that runs the football. I think the fear is that we go pass happy and the suspicion is that Trestman, for all his expertise, will not be the situational play caller that Kubiak is. I think the variable(s) that suggest something will be different are Castillo and Harbaugh. Those guys know how we ran the football and how we need to run it to win.
  10. He is one fumble away from eyeing a decrease in his receptions. Three fumbles in twenty five touches is ridiculous.
  11. I would agree with him about roethlisberger. From bashing and belittling pitta repeatedly to smarmy comments toward Suggs on national tv; I stand by my previous statement. He will go out of his way.
  12. Pretty sure he lead the NFL in drops. He was good for at least one a game.
  13. He is also an unabashed Raven hater and goes out of his way to show derision for them. He is a homer.
  14. I don't think there is a question that he has under-performed. For some reason you get blasted for pointing that out.The stats don't support it perhaps but I see him as merely adequate to this point. It would be nice to have a rock at LT for sure.....easier to talk about finding than to actually find.
  15. Ideally the back up could at least come in and keep the team in contention for 2-4 games. I think ours is a liability.Teams will sell out to stop the run, and wait for Schaub to throw it to them.
  16. I feel the same. I was dubious when we signed him. Has looked awful in actual games of late.
  17. I wouldn't either. Zuttah has played guard and if urschel beats him out, he provides great depth at both positions.
  18. Is there any one who thinks Ike Taylor is entertaining, insightful, humorous or even articulate? I find him annoying. And the fact that for some reason he is being treated as a sort of elder statesman whose opinions are apparently elevated and validated by the NFL network is more so.
  19. Imagine the possibilities from the five yard line in;Having Crockett and Boyle in line with Maxx as an h-back(lined up there regularly at Minnesota ),....Forsett in the backfield and Waller out wide.....pretty daunting task for any defense.
  20. I agree. Dressing Orr over brown essentially means the team Is willing to risk being somewhat at a disadvantage for that day if there was an injury, rather than being at a disadvantage all game on special teams.I think you see Brown starting the following week in such a case but agree with you that he will deactivated until he improves special teams play.
  21. Yes. I think in some ways Torrey may have over achieved as opposed to the popular notion that he never quite developed. Perriman appears much more natural catching the ball, using his hands away from his body as routine. He will offer a lot in the way of being diverse in his routes.
  22. It stings a little to see a guy that talented in street clothes on Sunday. I still really like the guy but I think you're right. Unless there is an injury, or until he is able to show more on special teams than say,Zachary Orr, I don't see him dressing.
  23. Arthur brown appears thicker through the chest and arms. Not much being said about Maxx......
  24. Keep these type of articles coming, please. This is exactly the sort of info I'm looking for.
  25. Even given that context, I think the Seahawks are nowhere near as deep a team and could be derailed in a hurry by injury.
