  1. The Vinnie show spends more time discussing his sons schedule of little league games than they do the Ravens. Meanwhile in DC,SPORTS TALK 980 talks football all day...with insight and passion. Unfortunately they discuss the Redskins That town has a baseball team in contention, a hockey team, an NBA team on the cusp and they still lead with football. Seems odd that we have a team in the Ravens who spill their guts to win every year and the biggest sports talk station in town treats them as an afterthought.
  2. Thanks for the heads up. I listened to this a lot leading up to the draft and forgot all about it.Really enjoyed it.
  3. tune in on a Tuesday following a Sunday game. It is very disappointing how quickly they seem to move away from discussing the Ravens. I would like to be to able to hear some in depth analysis of the team, it's upcoming game, how we match up in the trenches...what we might ned to be about in terms of play calling, etc. You will hear none of it on 105.7. I suppose it is part of their gig as the station that broadcasts oriole games to saturate their air waves with baseball all day every day but I am a bit puzzled that apparently so many fans listen to what amounts essentially to 10-12 hours of the radio hosts pondering whether or not the Orioles can take two out of three from one of the many awful teams in our league and what Ryan Flaherty hits against left hand pitching in an afternoon game following a day off before the all star break. Thankfully, we have this site. Otherwise the situation in terms of coverage would be bleak
  4. Is he scheduled to practice? We need this guy in season for sure. Lots of pass catching threats but a guy who scares defenses deep is going to help our offense immensely. Probably a necessity.
  5. One of those guys I think that just strikes you as a football player.
  6. I've see better looking sets for local high school news programs on cable access. It's too bad the guy who owns MASN doesn't have a lot of money. Honestly, I think he is more interested in re-airing oriole "classics".....you know, when they beat the Padres in extra innings five years ago.
  7. The Redskins have what I wish we had in terms of radio/television coverage.980 am spends a ton of time on their local team. Not just discussing them generally either. They break down offensive line play, defensive play calls, broadcast directly from training camp and basically talk football in a very relaxed way. They also have a half hour televised program that airs 365.
  8. Sorry. I keep reading this and I have to call you on it. Check "assuming Maxx williams" in the 2015 NFL draft section. Multiple responses.
  9. It is shocking how little play the Ravens get on local radio. Especially when compared to other markets where football and the local team is discussed routinely and in great detail There used to be a weekly Ravens show on Saturday on 1090. Last I checked it has been replaced by a show about wine. The vinnie and rob show on 105.7 is abysmal unless you enjoy two unfunny guys cackling over themselves. That station tends to talk only in a very general sense about the Ravens ...and almost as an afterthought. Will someone on this board start a podcast? Please.
  10. Thought all three tight ends looked good. Was not impressed with Renner overall...unsettled in the pocket...limited arm strength and inaccurate. Second and third team defense struggled with just about everything. Very sloppy and undisciplined. If Perriman is legit, this offense will be fun. Campanaro is the guy I like best out of all of our WR.
  11. One thing I've always dug about Joe is the way he comes off in front of press. He doesn't give the impression that he would rather be somewhere else or that he is overly enthralled with being there. He never squirms or gives overt coach speak like so many others. He doesn't go out of his way to be smiley and friendly and mr. Nice guy(see Robert griffin, Tom Brady)but never comes off as put off or smug. All in all, he is quite direct and I think that makes him unique and not at all "boring". He strikes me as a guy who is extremely comfortable with who he is.
  12. I thought he looked great. Very fast to the ball and a physical tackler. I won't be surprised if this guy makes a difference on someone else's roster.
  13. jernigan gets dinged a lot.
  14. I'm trying not to get too hyped on him but he is getting quite a bit of shine.
  15. Love the way he comes off in this."Sounds like somebody is trying to distract from the real issue, which is deflated footballs"
  16. Marlon Brown has turned himself into a well rounded football player. Good blocker who is very good on teams. Better than average hands ( can't think of a single drop) and he shows up in pressure situations. Oh, and Campanaro is definitely making this team and getting lots of reps this year if healty.
  17. You guys are forgetting Brad Jackson. He listed himself as part of the Ravens linebacker lineage when discussing C.J. Pretty ridiculous that Brad jackson guy.
  18. Walker is a guy I am really intrigued by. I like what I have seen from him a lot.
  19. I'm guessing they will move Boykin outside. If not, you're right... They can't be too enthralled with Golson. Or perhaps they are hoping a year behind Boykin (on a one year deal) would serve Golson well.
  20. Any word on Arthur Brown? I still think if he gets a shot he will play great. I hope it's with The Ravens.
  21. One way or another, through being "banged up" or simply winning the job. urschel starts at center.
  22. Allow me to further the comparison to PED's; Ngata, (or whoever else we might use as an example of somewhat caught cheating by way of using banned performance enhancing drugs), might have used for that week he was tested and been terribly unlucky or, a more likely scenario is that he was using a while. The NFL comes with a hefty suspension either way because they have no way of knowing how long, exactly an offender has been cheating.I see Brady's suspension in much the same way. He and his cohorts have been at it awhile and I see it in one clear way as distinct.and in this way the analogy breaks down; I would compare what Brady did to a player busted for ped's if, and only if said offender was busted for substituting A clean urine sample. Let me remind that the patriots presented the Balls to officials pre-game and at that time they were up to code.
  23. It seems that suggs wasn't engaging at all in generalities when he said, (paraphrasing), "They're the most arrogant $#$#!^'s in the world, from belichik on down". the only thing he neglected to mention was that it actually starts with Kraft. just amazed at the level of arrogance on so many levels. The NFL pampered and enabled this brat for too long.
  24. First he demands an impology, then he doesn't require an impology...now he issues his own impology and by inference feels he's now owed an impology.Again, the arrogance and dare I say stupidity is staggering.
