I'm still partial to OJ and Eflein but this one is growing on me.
1) TJ WATT - OLB, WISCONSIN
High football IQ doesn't work in describing this guy. It reads too cliche and it doesn't do him justice. Combine this field acumen with religious tape study and work ethic and you are scratching it a little.
Excellent hands, jolts the man in front of him with long limbs. Already a very heady pass rusher...shows good rip move and ability to get home off the edge. Really only starting to see this guy. Really could be a great great Ravens defender.
Concerned by lack of tape and there are injury concerns but as a player I'm convinced he's tailored to fit here.
Absolutely jumps off film. ( Joe flex started the wheels on him)
2) MARLON HUMPHREY - CB, ALABAMA
Could be seen as a slide but I think it a good chance he is there for us.
Very physical corner, good tackler. Struggles with deep speed and needs to get better at finding ball.
Great speed, gifted athlete and experienced and comfortable in zone and man coverage.
3) ISAAC ASIATA - G/C , UTAH
Physical nasty and versatile. Loves football, works hard, an intimidating blocker who can play either guard spot and has experience at center. Start him next to Stanley year one. ( Raine started me on him)
3) JOE MATHIS - OLB, WASHINGTON
Criminally underrated. In only six games in 2016, Mathis registered 7.5 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and 25 tackles. He constantly pressures the QB, bends the edge and has seriously powerful hands. Sets the edge in the run game. I love having him paired with Judon and Watt. If healthy, he's a steal who I feel could start in short order.
4) CORNELIUS ELDER - CB, MIAMI
Physical corner. Fast to the action against the run. Very athletic former running back. Good cover corner probably relegated to the slot and to covering smallish quicker receivers. Impossible not to like this player.
Very similar skill set to Tavon.
5) JON TOTH - CENTER, KENTUCKY
My second favorite center in this year's draft behind Elflein. Four year starter in SEC. Smart player, calls protections at Kentucky. Good anchor against bull rush. Good size for center position.
6) DARREUS ROGERS - WR , USC
Another underrated steal. Viewed as a slow mover who struggles to separate. Only one of those two things is true. This guy finds holes in zones or bodies up or shields or just plain takes the ball from defenders. Great possession receiver and red zone weapon. Just throw the ball up to this guy in man coverage....he will win.
