  1. Well, I am fairly confident that two quarterbacks will go before we pick. If for no other reason than that recent history suggests they will. The two guys I like are Mahomes and Trubisky but I could see someone falling for Watson. I guess if you need one, you could cross your fingers until the second but those guys, if you like them, will be gone. Yeah, I'd probably be hoping for a QB at 16 in a different year.
  2. That's fair. I was off base. Sorry about that.
  3. Two good points.
  4. I'm sorry, I've read Bleak House....twice but I'll admit, for now to having skimmed this novel. Anyway....I think having Arizona go QB would be a good thing. Love Corey Davis. 2...makes me nervous but I like him off the edge...sense Ozzie would go Anderson as you suggest. 3....seen Moreau much higher but Witherspoon is my guy. In any case, I love two corners being taken. I think Toth is a more sure oline prospect though he may be around a round later...I would prefer to a dress center.
  5. Yeah, I'm positive you read way too much into the post. You see, I've actually watched these players and can form opinions ( admittedly off the mark at times)on a player without needing to read up on what somebody else thinks.
  6. Reddick is special. No way I take Williams over him..... An aside : Williams mustered two half sacks in Alabama's final five games. That sort of drought is troubling. No corners in four rounds is inexplicable to me.
  7. Where is Grigson when you need him? He might throw us a 1 if we threw in pitta
  8. http://nfltraderumors.co/ravens-discussing-possibility-making-dl-timmy-jernigan-available-trade/ Jernigan disappeared at the end ...his contract expires and if you can get a 3 or a 4 it probably makes sense.
  9. Post it. Mocks have dried up of late.
  10. Not football film. Oh no, I meant the bachelor.
  11. Joe breaks down film every Monday night for two hours along with Dennis Pitta.
  12. Silly quick as well.
  13. I've said this before but...had Maxx been drafted by Pittsburgh he would be a budding star...certainly a fan favorite. They probably would be doing some cutting edge stuff with him....you know, throwing him the ball. Twice, in his rookie season he played entire games and was TARGETED.....zero times.
  14. Anyone have a feel for where Switzer might go?
  15. I'm beginning to get a little obsessed with the idea of Reddick at 16. If he's there I'm not going to move back and risk not landing him.
  16. Fournette is an interesting one. I could see Ozzie valuing him enough to move.
  17. Depends what gets it done but if you could get a sliding Hooker for a third round pick, I reckon Ozzie pulls the trigger on that. Absolutely worth doing if that were the case.
  18. ROUND ONE - HAASON REDDICK - LINEBACKER, TEMPLE This isn't close to a reach to me. Reddick is a special talent and he will only get better. It's no secret that we need a chase linebacker alongside CJ and that's one of the ways they use him. They'll find ways to send him on blitzes, bring him from inside, line him up on the edge certain downs. He is great in coverage and great at getting to quarterbacks. There's a chance this guy can add 12- 15 and move outside full time next year. You need someone special at sixteen and Reddick fits the bill. ROUND TWO- RYAN ANDERSON- OLB, ALABAMA I wanted to project Watt, Harris or Williams slipping to us here. It's possible but not likely...if Watt slid and we got him to go along with Reddick, my head might explode. Anyway, Anderson is without a doubt, an Ozzieesque pick. He is smart, physical, and loves football. Has a knack for getting in the backfield and causing turnovers. Has very good, powerful hands to clear himself. Stronger than he appears and has jolt in his hand. Physical tackler.....around the ball constantly and makes effort plays. Not an elite athlete but is constantly working. A difference maker who can punish ball carriers. We can land two physical, passionate cornerstone type players right off the bat. 3) AKHELLO WITHERSPOON - CB, COLORADO Can't say enough about this guy...how underrated he is. He is a GREAT cover corner....better than his teammate, Awuzie who gets more run, better than a lot of guys who are more well known. I put his cover skills just under Lattimore and Jones. Put this guy on an island. Great feet, great make up speed, great ball skills and he makes it look easy. Phenomenal one on one in the red zone. A liability in the run game, there's no hiding that on tape but he can improve. An absolute steal . 3) ISAAC ASIATA, G/C, UTAH Just nasty. can play either guard spot...a first year starter at left guard. Intimidating, Tough guy....he and Stanley from great tandem moving forward. 4) CORNELIUS ELDER, CB, MIAMI Sorry, but I'm not taking this guy out of the mock. Don't care about him being relegated to covering smallish receivers or playing the slot. We absolutely need quality corners. Watch his tape. Great value. 5) JON TOTH, C , KENTUCKY Four year starter in SEC. Anchors consistently against bull rush...plenty strong, marginal athlete but smart and physical. Upgrades position year one. A find sitting there in fifth round. 6) GEORGE KITTLE, TE, IOWA A true two way tight end. Awesome and fierce blocking tight end who can run. A good receiver with size and speed. No doubt this guy has starting ability. Very underrated and I can't pass him up no matter the log jam.
  19. On point and succinct.
  20. Starting to feel to me as if Reddick will not be on the board at 16.
  21. Witherspoon mostly does try to minimize contact. He goes ankles low, for example....he doesn't see his target generally and he is often seen sort of lurking just in case instead of sticking his head in there. These things can be coached out of him and I just can't get over the guy in coverage. Very sticky...super instinctive corner.
  22. You're probably right. Not sure where I would go receiver in that light. Could go Strickler over Elder in round four .......Perhaps. We are so in need at so many positions....O LINE, RB, WR, EDGE, DB, ILB, etc.
  23. I'm not sure about last year being peculiar. Ozzie has attempted to move up before last year. I do agree with your assessment about this class. Perhaps if the free safety were close Ozzie would jump but we are likely to get an impact player just by staying put.
  24. In addition to being a physical grinding run blocker, Cam is very athletic on the move and finding peripheral and second level blocks. Sounds like an all pro guard but I believe he can more than hold his own at either tackle spot. I prefer him at guard, then RT, then LT. In any case, many are discounting the value he brings in terms of upside and versatility. The same, to a lesser degree can be said about Alex Lewis. Lewis, Yanda, Elflein, Robinson, Stanley .....this could be absolutely a dominant, versatile, group for years. I also like Toth at center and he could be had in the fifth round though he lacks Elfleins versatility.
  25. I agree about the mixing/disguising of and between he and Correa. Reddick can really be lined up all over and the offense has to find him and account for him. Reddick could be switched to a more traditional and full time 34 olb in our system into next year and really be a dominant pass rusher. Hopefully working Correa in this year will pay dividends. Judon, Anderson, Reddick, Correa,Kaufusi best case scenario would be formidable for years.
