maybe one TE and one Safety. But I say two TE's cuz we did that with Pitta and Dickson and we kept one of them who turned out to be really good.

1-wr, 2.cb, 3.rb, 4.wr, 5.olb, 6.dt, 7.de, 8.ol(g) 9.and 10. best player available. this would be my draft sequence with our ten picks regardless of which round we draft in.ideally i want to see us trading out of the first round to get an extra 3rd or 4th round pick.

Green-Beckham will be taken by somebody in the 1st, he's too much of a freak to pass up.

    3. pechillo

      pechillo

he's definitely a freak but so was tyrann mathieu and ray ray armstrong. I think either Marcus Peters or Green-Beckham will go in the 2nd. other will go in the 1st, but the whole background off field issues are a problem for every team. Even if their interview process goes well. Green-Beckham was also involved with domestic violence and thats a very sensitive subject in the league right now. So we'll see, I could be completely wrong haha the draft is crazy man

^agreed. I think he'd be a great addition to the team, but he's going to ask for too much and he's going to ask for the ball too much. I think a role WR is better than looking for a #1. I think we have our #1 with Steve Smith. He had an incredible year last year to start off. Slowed down a little bit towards the end, but still very productive. I would like Britt.

    3. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

We have plenty of role WRs on the roster now. We do need a #1 guy - big, physical guy that will make contested catches and can actually get separation. Smith Sr is great for his age, but not a true #1 any longer.

      JoeyFlex5

^^ exactly. we'll be sitting pretty a year from now i believe, we will be able to re-sign the MUST have guys like jimmy/ko/yanda, i think will hill gets a contract before the season starts, and upshaw will come very cheap due to his lack of numbers and spotlight. we'll have enough remaining cap space to make a splash if needed as well.

I don't see the FO letting Jimmy, Osemele or Yanda leaving... a receiver like Torrey is replaceable

  5. i thought they drafted good players but i don't see any of them making a big impact, disappointing really. I would have given up Ronnie Staley and Bronson for Jalen Ramsey, an actual playmaking difference maker with immediate impact.

STANLEY will be the man....We got a ton of pass rush....we got some promising corners.....we got the WR the front office believes will be the next big thing, what else do you need man??

    3. pechillo

      pechillo

@juanman7 Im not denying that Stanley won't be the man, but he is not an immediate impact player, they don't even know if he will start! Pass rush is great sure, but that was one of our strengths on defense, we addressed the secondary with a nickel corner, and a very raw prospect, again both non immediate impact. And WR was not in that much of need either with everyone coming back and the signing of Wallace. This was a rebuilding draft not a "championship bound" draft

  6. What if...again just what if....Ravens plan on focusing back to Webb's contract post June 1st. If they can't get a restructure, cut him, get 8 mil. That could mean drafting a high CB to replace him.

Post June 1 cut leaves $4 mil in dead money. Question is - what is 8 mil saved in space good for at that stage?

    3. Tru11

      Tru11

the 8 mil you save can only be used after june 1 which would do us no good at this moment.

    4. Wildabeast88

      Wildabeast88

The other thing is Webb could ply FS and I am more than comfortable with that also I think as a post June 1 cut he is like 6mil in dead money next year

  7. don't get me wrong love how we go defensive in the draft cuz i play on defense and very prideful about it, but when it comes to the team, we really gotta focus on giving Joe weapons. CB and Pass rusher is not a need. Thats not me saying we'll draft a day 2 prospect in the first round, but that trading back could make more sense for our needs.

Suggs and Doom are not spring chickens any more and are in their 30's but I don't doubt that they will be able to be solid pass rushers again. Upshaw also will be a free agent next year in 2016 and it's not even clear if The Ravens will be able to re-sign him so yeah that's makes it even more important to get a replacement now than later. Smith and Webb can be one of the best cornerback duo in the league but both are injury prone especially Webb. Asa Jackson seems to be hi...

    3. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Suggs & Doom might not be spring chickens but Smith Sr is even less of one and outside of him we have a receiving corps that has proven little. So I'd say weighing it out, WR/TE are much much bigger needs.

    4. jazz1988

      jazz1988

True. I think it depends on who's available honestly. The Ravens should stick to their board and not get desperate cause they need help at receiver position. I'm pretty sure they will address the receiver position in the first three rounds but I definitely will not be surprised if their first pick in the draft is a defensive player especially since I think most of the top receivers will be gone by the time they pick.

    4. pechillo

      pechillo

@JoeyFlex5 i think he'll get best player available and i think the most underrated player in this draft is Nate Orchard. After his combine he should be a late first rounder. And Ravens love pass rushers especially ones that have led the nation in sacks **T Sizzle** I really think we already have a good WR group. Torrey is our deep threat, Steve Smith is strong and physical, Marlon Brown can go up and snag balls, Owen Daniels and Dennis Pitta have great chemistry with Joe. I like our WR's

      pechillo

@juanman7 no way they will get McCourty, way too much money. You gotta remember that the Ravens are a defensive team, and will be for years to come, they will not draft 4 offensive players in the first four, thats just not going to happen, they will definitely draft a CB in the first 3 to replace Webb because his body is just breaking down slowly. He can't stay healthy.

    4. juanman7

      juanman7

@pechillo, having thought about it, I agree they won't spend big money to sign McCourty because there's always the risk that he won't play up to that contract that another team will definitely give him. However, I do think we could go heavy on offense this year, because like I said and people agree with this, this team cannot rely on rookies in the secondary. This is a weak safety class on top of this. So though they might get a cornerback in the first 3 rounds, I think every othe...

    2. pechillo

      pechillo

@BmoreBird22 I agree he's pretty inconsistent with his hands but so was Torrey and he developed. When it comes to types of WR's we already have an Algholor and Smith in Torrey. If we don't sign him back then I can see us getting one of them two, but if we sign back Torrey we would probably look for a big bodied tough to take down bulldozer as a receiver and I think Perriman fits that mold.

    3. BmoreBird22

      BmoreBird22

I don't think Torrey Smith is back to be honest, but I personally don't like Perriman too much just because of the hands. It's something very worrisome coming out of college because it's a lot tougher to make contested catches in the NFL. He's a really physical specimen and could turn out to be a really great receiver, but those hands scare me.

    4. PurpleCity5

      PurpleCity5

I wouldn't mind if we picked him there. Though I don't think F.O would trade back for Perriman, I think F.O would trade back for someone who's falling like Shane Ray or maybe Nate Orchard.

  14. That being said, with a top 10 pick. No need to go based off of necessity doing what Ozzie loves best is BPA, at this point an OL could be BPA or an OLB/DE. But DB has a deep class with sleepers.

    1. pechillo

      pechillo

i disagree. With Breshad coming back we'll get to see his playmaking ability, I still think Steve Smith is coming back and he has a motor. Not to mention there are good #2 or #3 wideouts hitting free agency, Mohammed Sanu, Hayward-Bey, Malcolm Floyd, to name a few. Drafting a WR wouldn't be a concern until the 4th round honestly.

    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Honestly, wake up. Waiting until the 4th rd for weapons is one of the big factors in why we only have 5 wins this season. Perriman is yet an unknown, SSS is most likely not coming back and the last thing we need is yet another vet in the twilight of his career. It is beyond time to give the offense some love - this isn't your father's NFL.

Fairley can play DT. he's similar to Haloti at which he can play DT and DE if he stays in shape. He was in Suh's shadow his whole career, i think he wants to be in a spotlight. He's the type of player where, if he's in the spotlight, he won't disappoint. Canty and Ngata are both our DE's and they're both gone. Fairley would definitely make sense. It is somewhat of a need.

      RavensFanMania

just because we cut Daryl Smith doesn't mean we are going to draft Jack.  No GM in the right mind would cut a player when because they THINK they will be drafting jack or any player.   Ozzie will draft BPA and Jack is one of if not the BEST player in this DRAFT.  He is a true Swiss Army Knife and much much much more gifted than Shaq Thompson.  The guy can cover CB, WR, RB and TE.  He can play anywhere on the defense outside of LOS.  He's multi talented.

That being said I'm good with drafting Jack, Bosa, Buckner, Ramsey, Tunsil, Stanley, or Hargeaves and in no particular order.
