  1. Absolutely love this mock draft. Playmakers and solid stat players for the Ravens. Karl Joseph is a perfect fit for the Ravens and Alexander is going to make sure no one catches the ball. Along with will hill and Jimmy, it will be a dominant secondary. Deon Bush is going to make plays on special teams with how much power he's got. Been saying Bush and Joseph are my favorite value picks in the draft. Great job.
  2. am i the only one that wants to see Daniel Brown more? Kid can play.

You want to give more reps to players who have the potential to be big time players because you want more bang for your buck and thats the bottom line.

Hoping somebody steps up is why the ravens offense is held back yr in and yr out!! Brown has shown nothing special to suggest he could be a #1 receiver. And to many #3 receivers is the ravens problem!!

  3. I think VH3 will drop in a lot of peoples draft because he had such a strong 2014 season the hype was there for 2015 but he didn't perform as people thought. That being said, Alexander is definitely a shut down corner and don't get me wrong he really is best CB in the draft, but he's not much of a playmaker. Thats the only downside really. Ramsey is a playmaker that's why I like him a lot for the Ravens. BUT, the Ravens need a corner and Ramsey would be best as a safety. I think Alexander would be an awesome pick if his draft stock stays the same and Ravens could trade back. I like the safety depth in this years draft.
  4. Why use #6 pick on Treadwell when we could get Mike Williams from Clemson in like the 5th round lol. DB is also a deep draft in my opinion, so take a DL or OLB. If Bosa is there take him. Maybe try to trade up. We're going to have a good amount of picks this draft. And next draft Ozzie can trade comp picks, it's well worth it. Bottom line. We need a playmaker if that playmaker is Treadwell or Ramsey etc. I'm fine with whomever we pick. It just needs to be an immediate impact playmaker.
  5. keep an eye on Sean Davis at the senior bowl, CB Maryland. Also, Deon Bush S Miami and Karl Joseph S WVU. my favorite mid round prospects at DB
  6. That being said, with a top 10 pick. No need to go based off of necessity doing what Ozzie loves best is BPA, at this point an OL could be BPA or an OLB/DE. But DB has a deep class with sleepers.

i disagree. With Breshad coming back we'll get to see his playmaking ability, I still think Steve Smith is coming back and he has a motor. Not to mention there are good #2 or #3 wideouts hitting free agency, Mohammed Sanu, Hayward-Bey, Malcolm Floyd, to name a few. Drafting a WR wouldn't be a concern until the 4th round honestly.

    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Honestly, wake up. Waiting until the 4th rd for weapons is one of the big factors in why we only have 5 wins this season. Perriman is yet an unknown, SSS is most likely not coming back and the last thing we need is yet another vet in the twilight of his career. It is beyond time to give the offense some love - this isn't your father's NFL.

"I also think at WR we're solid." Please don't let our front office fall into that trap again.Smitty at 36 coming off an achilles injury,Aiken and everyone behind those two don't make us solid at WR.

  7. Another late round pick: Sean Davis/ Will Likely. Davis is more so the sure tackler and coverage guy. Will Likely is more so the playmaker, he'll try to make plays from anywhere on the field which lead to picks but also sloppy coverage at times.

    1. pechillo

      pechillo

still think we should get Karl Joseph no matter what. He's a playmaker flat out. I think he could've definitely been best safety this draft class if he didn't get injured.

    2. pechillo

      pechillo

Deon Bush is also an animal at tackling reminds me of Dawkins.

  8. I'm a big fan of finding sleepers not taking into account character concerns (Ravens can handle anything) just talent. A huge sleeper for a late draft would be Duke Williams from Auburn. Some said he would be a first round but got kicked off the team

    1. pechillo

      pechillo

Much like Dorial Green-Beckham or Ray Ray Armstrong. Duke definitely has the raw talent that the Ravens could develop.

  9. if Bosa, Hargreaves, Ramsey, and Treadwell are available, who do the Ravens get?

I'd take Tunsil but I don't like Stanley in the top 5 either, to me he is a border #10 guy. He's got great size but I really don't like his run blocking. That's the part of his game that I just can't get over to take him so high. If we trade back I think he becomes a possibility but at 4 or 5 he's a reach in my mind. I believe in general trading back is probably our best option, collect some future high picks and what not.

    3. January J

      January J

Trade back and grab Stanley. Grab Boyd with the original second and Yannick with the extra. Then bell or Thompson in the third. Boom. All needs addressed in 3 rounds.

    4. Winchester

      Winchester

Stanley may go top4 as well. But trading back and getting Stanley and Boyd would be awesome.

  10. dont understand why the Ravens are paying Mallet more than the veterans minimum, absolutely ridiculous, he's mediocre at best and a cry baby, he's not a Raven.

Mallet has good upside and honestly if the guy just was more mature he could be a solid backup quarterback and more

    3. pechillo

      pechillo

sure he could be a good backup but brynn renner looked good enough to be a back up in the preseason and he's on a rookie contract!

  13. all granted that Bosa isn't available by the time we draft.
  14. ogbah could easily drop to the 2nd. We could probably draft him in the 2nd round but first round, BPA kind of hits a big need for the Ravens. Ozzie will take a WR in back to back years with Laquon Treadwell. Then we could draft Ogbah in 2. or even Shilique Calhoun who could drop out of the 1st round too. But third round for safety I would take Karl Joseph. He's pro ready and a playmaker. A playmaker is what the ravens secondary needs.
  15. Deon Bush is going to be a solid pick for a late round

    1. RaineV1

      RaineV1

John Harbaugh lost this game peeps...1st quarter...going for it on 4th and 1 with Schaub at QB? What was he thinking. Just when you think it can't possibly get any worse!

  16. imagine if all our injured players come back next year strong along with a top 5 draft pick, going to have a very successful 2016 season.

    1. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

It's not just one Top 5 pick - it's the magic Ozzie can work with an early pick in every single round. We're in all our games - not getting blown out - so I figure some key pieces and we will be a pretty good team next season if not a dominant one.

jazz1988 If you really watch, Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees even back to Dan Marino they all have turned their decent WR corps to an above average WR group. If Edelman or Brandon LaFell or Marques Colston or Randall Cobb were to play for other QB's that are decent, they wouldn't put up the numbers that they had. Just look at Greg Jennings or James Jones, same situation. James Jones is doing pretty good right now because of Rodgers.

  18. I know DB is a huge need right now but with a top 5 pick I would take either Bosa or Nkemdiche. Mainly because I think Karl Joseph is a shut down DB. He's everywhere around the ball. One hell of an athlete. We could get him in the 2nd.

If the draft were today and Jared Goff fell to us, I'd want to trade with the Sailboats at #8 or Norleans for #9 - try to get a 2017 1st and 2016 4th or something. One of the DBs should be there at that 8 or 9 and we'd do ourselves a nice favour for next year.

well thanks for ruining my hopes guys. A man can only hope.

  23. even trading out to mid picks would be fine with me, Ozzie makes the right move every time. CJ went mid and he was a pro bowler lol.
  24. way too early to tell, id say when the combine results come out this would be a good topic to discuss, because we can see athleticism etc. But presently, if the draft was now, I would say yes. Trading out would be great because we have a lot of needs right now and one particular thing we need to start doing is getting young guys to learn under veterans like Sizzle, Monroe, Yanda, and Flacco. Earlier round picks are awesome so trading out for some more early round picks would be sweet because Ozzie always finds a gem in the mid to late round prospects. Main objective in my opinion, get younger everywhere. *except kicker*
  25. Hypothetically, if the Ravens do get a low draft pick and end the season under .500 do we go into rebuilding? or continue to try to plug in pieces of our puzzle.

    1. Deflated Football

      Deflated Football

And a new FS and edge rusher. We can take care of those things in one offseason in my opinion.

    2. pechillo

      pechillo

well i definitely think we need a FS if our young guys can't break out of their potential, with secondary it takes time. I also think Flacco needs weapons if he wants to be successful. I always hate on Flacco but thats mainly because the receivers we have other than Steve Smith are not the types of receivers that make QB's look good. Those receivers are Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith, Derrick Mason, even players like Josh Gordon or Brandon Marshall make QB's look good because of the...
