  1. We both have been watching and supporting this team long enough to know that they won't!
  2. Defense can't get off the field and gives up a TD....RIGHT ON CUE!!! LOL!!!
  3. 3 passing plays... No run plays..... 3 & out...RIGHT ON CUE!!! LOL!!!
  4. I'm thinking that the Ravens may cut Pitta as well. I mean, he played pretty well this season but they really can't count on him going forward in my view. Why not roll with the likes of Williams, Boyle and Gillmore? I don't know if Pitta would take a paycut Jacket. But then again, he loves it there in Baltimore and being w/Joe so he just might. I'm thinking the same thing.
  5. I could only find this info guys.... http://overthecap.com/player/dennis-pitta/1373/
  6. Same here RF23. Just ready to watch them play and get this game over with. Again, I expect pretty much of the same from them that we've seen all season long. No need to expect anything different at this point. Just get through the game healthy. on another note, I never understood the pool pick thing.
  7. They claimed "WHO?"
  8. It's a combination of a few negative things that was consistently being done throughout their season.
  9. The mysterious “foot area” injury that outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil has been working through all season has finally been revealed. And, it’s quite significant. Dumervil, who turns 33 next month, had surgery to repair a torn Achilles, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. The motivation behind the secrecy was that Dumervil didn’t want to become a distraction to the team. I knew there was something else going on with this cat. And the secrecy nearly all season long? Man what a joke!
  10. So now ya'll want to end on a high note?
  11. That's all I've been saying. I find it interesting that the "majority" of players on the Madden Cover had low productivity or got injured in "that particular season." Who knows, maybe it was in "the mind" of those who got injured that believe in curses? We also constantly hear about the "Rookie Wall" and the "Sophomore Slump" in the NFL. A few weeks back Zeke from the Cowboys stated that he doesn't "believe in" the rookie wall and is ballin' out like crazy this season while other rookies hit "something." Or maybe....it's just all in their heads perhaps like the so called, "Madden Curse?"
  12. We're not addressing players having bad or good years here though. Which I don't doubt happens to them one bit. But, we're talking about a "specific" season. One in which involves an athlete being on the Madden Cover. Now, once again, I don't personally believe in curses but stated that those who were on the Madden Cover and got injured "that particular season" after being on the MC was an "eerie coincidence" did I not? My rebuttal, to your statement in the previous post......which I also substantiated with links.....was that; while a mere handful of players who were on the Madden Cover did play well or avoided a injury, "the majority" of them succumbed to some kind of injury or low production that particular season "after" being on the Madden Cover. That happens to be a known fact regardless as to whether or not myself, you or the injured player themselves choose not to believe in or not to call it a curse. To say that the so-called curse was selective? I wouldn't know about that cause agan, I don't believe in curses. That maybe a question for one of those injured athletes to answer.
  13. Although I don't believe in curses....again...to me...it is a very interesting coincidence that the athlete on the cover actually gets injured that season or their production noticeably drops off. Gronk is the cover athlete this season. And....we know the rest!
  14. The number of players on the Madden Cover that got injured that particular season far outweighs the players on the Madden Cover that went on to have productive seasons the following year. Here are a few interesting pieces written on this very subject: http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/the-madden-curse/ http://www.baconsports.com/top-5-players-beat-madden-curse/
  15. Perhaps that is due to the draft philosophy of..."Best Player Available?"
  16. I don't believe in curses as such but loving Madden....those are some damn eerie coincidences.
  17. Umm...Pitta's blocking is horrible!
  18. I absolutely agree! Our pass rush has been abysmal down the stretch. We got to upgrade Suggs and Doom. I'd even throw in upgrading at the CB spot as well cause Jimmy can't seem to stay on the field an entire season.
  19. I haven't really drilled down into this just yet Deflated but I will. I get the free agency piece but I just don't feel that we have to always keep bringing in these "old" cats on the back end of their careers. They generate a little spark, then we're all in here complaining about same old stuff over and over...."WE NEED PLAYMAKERS!"
  20. Who says that a possession receiver "has to be" a veteran? To be honest, I'm getting sick and tired of the FO running these old cats that's on the backend of their careers in and out of here live a revolving door. We lack playmakers! We need some young lions on this roster....teach'em, train'em and then TRUST'EM!
  21. Coaching is intertwined with the Ravens fiasco and not so easily dismissed or discounted imo. However, my main issues with the Ravens are: 1. No high caliber or high quality WR's on offense that can actually make major or huge plays when needed. Serviceable cats at best on the roster. 2. Ineffective and inconsistent pass rushers. Younger, faster, stronger and hungrier lions are desperately needed at the OLB spots. Suggs and Doom are done! 3. CB quality and depth is atrocious. No one actually puts fear in QB's...including Jimmy cause he's down more often than not. 4. Offensive scheme is extremely archaic and outdated and therefore predictable and easy to stop due to the lack of offensive talent. The Ravens have looked like the lost boys the entire season. Other teams are clearly head and shoulders above the Ravens talent wise. There are a few "possible" pieces there to build around but in comparison to other "top teams" it's not even close so don't fool yourselves!
  22. Both of them are liabilities at this point in their careers imo.
