  1. I have to take exception to this headline: "Injuries Force Ravens To Rely On Pair Of Rookie Pass Rushers." It scared me, and my first thought was that Suggs was injured again. With Suggs and McClellan starting, I don't think it is correct to say that we're "relying" on rookies. Rather it should say that our rookies will get some opportunities.
  2. Have to confess, I am still a nervous wreck every time I see #88 on the field. I think it will take three or four games before I stop worrying about him. He played a good game on Sunday, and I really have high hopes, when I am not fearing that he's going to end up with a career-ender.
  3. I agree with you. I kept wondering the whole game why we weren't taking any deep shots down the field. With Perriman and Wallace, we should be stretching the field, leaving Smith Sr to cross the middle.
  4. Taylor said that the Bills had never seen some of the D formations Pees was dialing up.
  5. On sale already, huh? Maybe they should wait and see if we win.... ;)
  6. Where are all the Dean Pees bashers today? [chirp chirp chirp] Huh? Where are you? [chirp chirp chirp] Man, it felt good to get a regular season win! Hadn't experienced that since 12/27/15. That's 258 days! Without a Ravens reg season win. Ay ay ay! Way to go, D! Now, let's get those kinks worked out of the offense, and this may prove to be a very fun season. I see 0 threat from RGIII's Browns next week. But, argh, that last minute FG to give Cincy the win was so frustrating! We should be sitting atop the decision right now.
  7. I think coaching is the last thing Ray Lewis wants to do. I really don't see Ed Reed as a head coach, either. It's one thing to be popular and able to motivate people; it's something else entirely to be able to manage an entire organization. We'll see.
  8. I'll take a 10-6. For a team that lost many of its starters last year and went 5-11, this is a major boon. It shows a lot of trust in the Ravens' system to expect a 10-6. Don't get me wrong ... I'm pulling for 16-0 as always! :) But a 10-6 and a playoff spot would be a blessing. The talent is there. Let's see if all the missed practice time by the veterans can be swept under the rug.
  9. Not to be a downer, but it's discouraging to keep hearing that the most important thing Perriman did in the preseason was to not get injured. I guess he's still one up on Campanaro.
  10. Really, dude? [Can I make a rolleyes with this new site?]
  11. For every rule, there is a way around it. I tell you, folks, if Ozzie looks like he's lost his mind and making crazy decisions, then there is something else going on. I will try to remember this next year. ;)
  12. Let's hope so! Right now we look like a mess.
  13. I am hoping that Weddle proves to be an Ed Reed-like leader that will motivate the players around him to be better. He may be the puzzle piece we've been missing in the 2ndary.
  14. Perriman coming back probably hurts one of these guys. That's a shame both have looked decent so far and it would seem that with more reps, they would get only better. Some of those reps go away now. Here's what I want to know. Suggs tore his Achilles, and he's back. SSS totally ripped his Achilles and he's back. Flacco tore his ACL or MCL, and he's back. Forsett broke his arm and he's back. But Perriman, with what was originally reported to be a knee strain before the preseason last year, is only just starting to return to the field for drills. WHAT AREN'T THEY TELLING US? No knee injury has ever sidelined a guy this long, that I can remember. If Flacco is back, Perriman should have been back months ago.
  15. I don't know, man, but it seems like God is trying to tell Pitta to hang it up.
  16. Goodell has his favorites? Who didn't know that? Brady Rule, anyone?
  17. It must be a mixed blessing if you are on offense and your own defense is outplaying you. ;) Good for the team, but....
  18. We can predict all we want, but the only thing that really matters is who wins games and gets to the SB. No concern on my part about guys like Flacco, SSS, Suggs missing preseason. If they don't know the playbook by now, who does? Perriman will remain on my "ain't gonna happen" list ... until it does, and hopefully that is soon. ;)
  19. Things are looking up. Suggs is back, maybe SSS this week. No offense to Tyrod, but he is going to figure out why he was the BU and Joe was the starter week one!
  20. Ah, when we start seeing Kevin's articles, we know the regular season is right around the corner! Thanks for sharing, Mr. B. No one anywhere should have any doubt about what kind of man John Harbaugh is, but it is always heartwarming to see how he lives out his beliefs. I'd like to have him for a neighbor. Here's wishing for another Superbowl victory to give the De Leonardos. Maybe John could dedicate it to them.
  21. Stats are stats, and they can mean different things to different people at different times. Stats could be used to show how Germany was the safest place to live in 1938. But in sports, the only stat that really matters is the win/loss record.
  22. A huge average YPC isn't the only way to be impressive. You can have a 10 YPC average but turn the ball over three times - and you can have a 3.0 YPC average with 3 TD's - which one's better? You always say wise things, bio. I'd thumb you up, but I can't figure out how....
  23. In all fairness, the #2 tier says that he can carry the team, but not consistently. I think we have all been witnesses to Flacco's inconsistency over the years, and this should surprise no one. Tier 2 is right for him. But I'm all for seeing him move up a tier, if he can with this dinged up receiving corps. Really need SSS and Perriman to come out healthy.
  24. I think Tucker should do it! Publicity can't hurt. In fairness, he needs more than one try. But he should totally do it.
