We got rid of our 2003 Hoe for a Buick Enclave because of 'numerous' electrical gremlins. My Avalanche likewise has similar gremlins. If you do buy GM, which I do, be ready for electrical issues and brake-jobs on a regular basis. I have.
Gotcha...thanks for the input. Buddy of mine works for the local GM dealer in service and I am fairly mechanicly inclined, so I hope we can tackle any issues that may come my way. Again, thanks!
Does anyone know what a Brake Booster is and what it does? I been having brake issues with my 2006 Chevy Cobalt and Firestone couldn't figure it out, and Sears replaced pretty much everything and the brakes still kept locking up. Took it to a Chevy Dealership and explained to me that I would need a new Brake Booster, anyone know what that is?
Helps add force to the master cylinder when you hit the brake pedal. Makes is so newer cars don't need the pedal "slammed" down on in order to stop.
oh yeah?

Yeah, just had a hunch ![]()
Financially the Z71 probably is the best option...not to mention it is, uh, "spacious".
Surprisingly, the Caddy would be my last choice of the three you mentioned.
I'm partial to the Denali, but if I take my bias out, I'd say go with the Z71
Yeah, I agree. I dig the look of the Denali (that front grill is just damn good looking), but I think I am leaning towards the Z71. The baby is due in March, so I have time and I am looking to steal one for a real good price. I'm looking for a 2003-2006 with sub 75k miles, leather, 3rd row seat and obviously all power options. Rear entertainment would be nice, but the aftermarket headrest add-ons are so affordable these days, that its not a must. I am pleasantly surprised that with all of that said, Im looking at about $9500 - $12,500 depending on the options and mileage.
Cant lose either way! I'd honestly just go with whichever is the best deal financially.
I've always loved Denalis; best combo of the Suburban's ruggedness and the Caddy's luxury..
Its like a car carousel around here. Ever since wrecking my car last year, its been nuts. But now with another baby on the way, I want a massive SUV (I work from home and rarely drive, so gas consumption isn't really a concern of mine). My mother wants the S80, the wife still continues to drive the X5 even after my devious plan, the CJ never moves (and is for sale), the truck is, well, a truck that I beat the piss out of and the Benz is on jack stands in the garage! I need something that is mine that the family can rock in comfort (truck doesn't allow this) and safety (CJ certainly doesn't allow this). I think, financially, the most make sense of the 3 mentioned in my post above is the Z71...plus I like the look and I would most likely throw on a leveling kit/lift keys and some 33's ![]()
lmao ... I thought maybe a Hummer with 28" chrome spinners ...
Since I have your attention..opinion?
Suburban Z71, Yukon Denali XL or Escalade ESV? I want a mammoth SUV and I have been looking at these three (basically the same damn thing) and I'm just curious of others opinions.
What's everybody's favorite Christmas movie?
Mines gotta be 'A Christmas Story'. Classic that gets better with time.
Uh, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation hands down! Nothing even comes close to Clark W Griswald!
Horrible Bosses might be the worst movie I've ever seen.
Whoa whoa whoa! Aniston was in it! There are others that are just as bad without her that would take that title!
i roll as white w/tan interior Lincoln Navigator on 24s and my wife rolls a black w/tan interior Mercedes-Benz E 350 on 20s.

I would have guessed that ![]()
Ok since this is the car thread, hopefully someone on here may be able to help me. I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. Last Friday, I got up to head to class to take a final and I couldn't get the car to go into the gear, it just wouldn't go at all. I had the car towed to Firestone, they were able to get it into gear but the brakes had locked up. They tried to say the brake fluid was contaminated, and that they fixed it. Well I drove it to a mall and it's a short distance so I didn't go far. I come back to leave, brakes felt heavy, and anytime I wasn't on the gas, it pretty much stopped on it's own. Took it back, and they again couldn't find nothing wrong but wanted $1600 for repairs so we had it towed to Sears and Sears replaced the rotors and cooling system.
I drove it about 15 miles from Sears, to a gas station and then back home. Car was fine, my mom takes the car and she says it's acting up again, where she's ok if she has her foot on the gas pedal but as soon as she takes it off the car slows down automatically and their is a loud vibration.
Does anyone know what could be the issue, is the brakes going bad and I need all new brakes all together or is it something else?
Sounds like maybe a stuck caliper or two or bad master cylinder...but thats something that any mechanic would have found, so its weird that they didn't uncover it.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not(this is a pretty long thread, you know?), but there are plans to remake American Psycho. I don't know any of your thoughts on the original, but I'm disappointed about this.
There is ABSOLUTELY no way they can come even close to how that movie was delivered. Christian Bale was ridiculous in that movie!
Drive and Ides of March were both pretty dang good! Im not a huge political buff, but Ides of March was well scripted and acted and Ryan Gosling is climbing the ladder in regards to top actors in my eyes.
CJ is officially for sale ![]()
Could you imagine wearing that shirt in a mall, or at school or any other social gathering lol. I'll tell you one thing, if you are out with your wife or girlfriend, and you had that shirt on, no guy would ever try to steal her away from you lol. Unless of course they were asking for it lol.
Cause of a shirt? Me dont think so....If I want to smack you, not shirts stopping that ![]()
He has come quite a long way, nobody really thought the Miz would be a big player but he proved everyone wrong, worked hard and eventually became a WWE Champion, headlined Wrestlemania and even won his Main Event Match at WM. The Miz worked on his mic skills and has become one of the best wrestlers on the microphone in today's WWE.
That ending to Raw was awesome, and I loved how The Rock has this power over the fans to chant things at any given time, no matter what it is. Obviously I can't say any of them on here but let's just say they are trending on Twitter.
That's hilarious! Like I said, been a while since I watched wrestling on the regular. Funny that a dude named Mike from the Real World could make it big with the WWE.
So, this idiot from the Real World is a main player in the WWE now? Wow!!!! HILARIOUS!!! (I obviously don't watch wrestling anymore)
The Rock "tweets"? Interesting....
He should stick to putting his junk in a box around the holidays, lol.
Yeah, that was/is pretty hilarious!
You gotta admit, his SNL appearances have been pretty awesome!
I've seen him in Bad Teacher, Friends With Benefits and this one. I like him, but he shouldn't act. Extra money I suppose.
He was pretty good in Alpha Dog.
I was pleasantly shocked by the fact it was a decent flick. I had written it off as most likely stupid as hell until good reviews started trickling in here and at work.
Yeah, it was pretty well done. I was surprised as well. My wife and I have pretty much watched everything else out now, so this was by default.
Just watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes....very good, IMO
Well, Im not a fan of the torture movies like Saw, etc., so if this is just stupid and twisted like those, Ill probably avoid it. It was a great idea when it first came out but it seems to be losing its charm.
Definitely, IMO, not worth it. I "borrowed" it from somewhere (really trying to be careful here), so I didn't pay for it. Glad I didn't, as its certainly not worthy of theater prices.
Care to elaborate? After Romo said he felt sick in the theater, I was actually interested in seeing it!
Sure...I can see why Romo said he felt sick. It was gory and cheaply done. My wife had to look away quite often and it was just kind of dumb. Had a "twist" outside the other normal Final Destination movies, but even still, I didn't like this one.
Final Destination 5 was HORRENDOUS!

I actually hate baseball and I liked it. Although, its completely BS that Boston "instilled" the money ball philosophy when they won in 2008 (or whatever year it was). Go look up their payroll that year. What a crock to credit them as doing what the A's did!!
