Yeah, WTH!? You come into the car thread with broke pic links? Its just been me in here for weeks amusing myself (just cant bring myself to get into with imiss and pirate ;)) and I finally got excited about something new to read/view. Damnit! Damnit all to hell!

  2. I just bought an E36 today too! Mine isn't the convertible though. Will post some pics tomorrow!

Nice find, can't wait to see it with the top down!

You asked :)2012-03-29_17-14-52_77.jpgAnd my dude:2012-03-29_16-55-11_321.jpgCustom seat covers will be in this week (I hope) and I installed HID headlights over the weekend.

  3. Needs a new top motor (brand new top, though), needs all new seats (drivers side is torn pretty good and the rear was burned from cigarettes that actually caught fire), tiny ara of rust needs to be cut out from the passenger door and thats about it. Overall, its in awesome condition for a 13 year old car.

  4. How many times have you gotten "the look" from your wife recently?

With the CJ (the red one) it lasted....well, its still happening. BUT with this one, she was more sold on buying it than I was. Again, great deal and I really wasnt planning on taking on a new client (IT consulting) that was 30 miles away while rocking a suburban. The suburban can now be reserved as the family boat and I can cruise this thing around.

Definitely need to sell the red CJ stat, though. My garage/driveway is looking a bit ridiculous right about now.

  5. And more for the thread that I and am single handily keeping alive.....(I'm sad)

Bought (more like stole) a CJ5 five this evening. Needs a bit of work, but for sitting in a field for the last 6 years, surprisingly not as much as one would think and the price was a no brainer. Certainly don't need another vehicle, so this is going to be a restore and sell job. Will post more pics later.

1977 CJ5 with a 304, 4 speed T98 Borg Warner tranny (out of only God knows what), rust FREE factory steel body (needs front fenders and a a new grill), brand new BFG MTs and new white wagon wheels, spring over axle lift with new shocks and some other loose goodies. All this for freakin' $1,500!!!!!!

  6. Honestly no idea.. Love the Kia forte koup's but I'm leaning towards used...

I could afford a new car but if I wanna get back in school and keep my business stuff in the mix then I should prolly go used

I love the Chrysler 300 but my main goal is to find a good deal

Gotcha...I have never once purchased a new vehicle. And, as you can tell, I have bought, sold and currently own a few vehicles. Used is the way to go, IMO. I cannot really give much of an opinion on either of those vehicles, as they are not my "cup of tea", but good luck in your search!

  7. 40.. Got that on my truck.. Love the sound cause it's so deep..

It's 3" from the cat back with 3.5" tips and I have cold air intake..

Such a deep "mean" sound but not overly loud like glass packs/cherry bomb exhaust

Good to know...thanks! I cant remember what I put on my Jeeps in the past, but think I am leaning towards the 40 for the Suburban. As shown above in this thread, I just slapped on an cold air intake as well.

  8. Just put a new Car Stereo in my car and it's one of those that come with a port for your Ipod. I enjoy every minute driving now that I can listen to my Ipod in my car, I don't even listen to the local stations anymore lol. How much does it cost to get a paint job on your car? I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt and been thinking about seeing about a paint job. It's blue now but thinking about maybe Red.

Would definitely say heck no to that. A paint job from a blue tone to a red tone (and done right) would cost anywhere from $2,500 to $5,000. No offense, but sell the car and buy it again if you really don't want blue anymore. It would be cheaper and they're certainly are plenty to choose from.

  9. About to be hitting the car market.. Totally not looking forward to this and really rather not buy anything but with gas hitting 3.60 an me driving a silverado that gets like 12 mpg at best.. I desperately need a car

    What are you leaning towards?

  10. I kinda had a feeling you wouldn't let her go! You always spoke so fondly of the CJ!

Yeah, I was (still want to) wanting to build a 4 door Wrangler, but then we're talking a price tag (with purchase and build) of about $20k-$24k. With adding the Suburban into the mix, keeping the CJ, but making some additional modifications, is best. The problem now is that I just found a 1977 CJ5 on craigslist with a 304, brand new 35s, 4 speed, NO RUST and some other goodies all for under $2k. That's just insane, but with just having a second kid, parts for the Suburban having just been freshly installed and CJ7 parts hitting the front door daily, the wife would have my &*%$ in a vice if I bought another vehicle. BUT its such an insane deal and is a local buy! Aaaaahhhhhhhh!

  11. Wow, that looked nice! I think I'm getting a jeep soon. Whats the exact name of that? How'd you like it??

No past tense, my friend. Still own it. Its a 1977 Jeep CJ7, but there is not a part on it older than 2007 (minus the original frame and front grill).
