Well, took forever, but 12v battery and charger are ordered (originally 6v), flat black paint purchased and Ravens stickers are on the kitchen table. Let the build begin!!

  2. I am getting ready to start my 3rd set of P90X. Did two sessions about 1 and a 1/2 years ago, but am now back to 196ish...

Need a little injection of something intense to get me back down to 186 - 190 and P90X seems to work for me. Going to go with higher weights on everything this go-around and hope for some mass. May prove difficult, though, since I am 6'3" and have always been relatively thin. We shall see!

  3. I hear ya, my Xterra is certainly one of a kind! but then again..its just a pile of metal at the end of the day... I wouldn't mind having a Jeep but I can't stand the lack of power in them... Even the new Pentastar seems pretty weak compared to the VQ40 in the Nissan.

It seems modified JK's are stupid priced.. I was contemplating doing a SAS in my X but for what I want.... 10k in parts alone would be EASY....

Ha, I hear ya...just sold a 401 powered CJ7 down to an I6 Wrangler. But, its "for the kids" as I told the wife :)

nice man! I'm perting out my Xterra now. Man, it makes me SAD! but things change quickly and I've had it for 5 years... thats a LONG time for me!
Yeah, I am excited to start adding to it. Like I stated above, it doesnt need much, but considering I normally build, not buy, I am going to certainly add my own little touch to it. As evidenced by this thread, 5 years would be an eternity for me as well!

Like the color.. What u gonna do to it first?
It doesnt really need much. The CJ (AMC 401, 3 speed and just being a 1977) wasnt conducive to having two little ones. Not that this is much better, it does at least have more of a roll bar, full seats and belts, AC/heat and is just overall much safer.

It doesnt need a paint job at all, but a buddy just had some dude paint his off craigslist for $800 and all things considered, did a fantastic job. As of now, I may due a 1.25" JKS body lift and some other minor things, but again, its pretty set as.

    4" suspension

    35" Dick Cepeks (brand new)

    DC2 wheels (brand new)

    4.56 gears

Slip Yoke Eliminator (helps with drive shaft angle and dive line vibration)

    Hanson off road front bumper

    Rusty's rear bumper

    Rock rails

Bestop swing away tire carrier (with full spare)

    subs, amp, locking consoles etc...

Its pretty stacked already. Normally like to "build" not "buy", but couldnt pass this up. Getting it for less than I am selling the CJ for. WIN WIN WIN!

    Currently benching 353lb for 10 reps x 3 sets.

Deadlifting 650lb with straps and no belt.

Don't squat but I've maxed the legpress at my gym at 1600lb, at that weight there is no such thing as padding.

Can only powerclean about 200lb.

I'm 6'3" 290lb.

Big deal, I'm 6'3" and 190 also....oh wait, you said 290. Yikes!

He's too busy dreaming of gold bullion, building his dream yacht, and the domination of the lead industry to bother bragging to us anymore, lol. I miss feeling inferior.
8. Its a '94 325i; bone stock...going to paint it myself, but not going to go too crazy with modding it. Just going to install a set of coilovers, a Conforti chip (good for +22 HP and 19 ft-lb on a stock motor), pulleys, a set of sticky Michelins and a shorter rear end. Maybe a muffler (just for sound; you'll only get 2-4 HP from a muffler upgrade on these cars and save some weight) too.

I was seriously considering parting out my 740iL and dropping that motor/tranny into the 3, but I love that car too much! BMWs to me are what CJs are to you! I'm not really a brand [profanity deleted], but I really cant see myself ever getting another kind of car...have the 7 for daily driving/family, another 7 just for parts, and now the 3 will be a fun toy car.

Hey, I here ya. Wife has an X3 (downsized from the 5 when I got the Suburban) and I've owned a 745i, 330ci and now the 328ic. I did just list the red CJ5 after doing minor work to it. Will post likely double my money and then can mod the 3. I am going to look into Conforti since you mentioned it. Have already installed HID headlights, new fogs, fixed and synched the top, hunted down the radio code, fixed the climate control module and seat covers (glove tight covers) will be here next week.

  9. Hey if you like them, that's all that matters. But black wheels would only work on that car if you were making it a track car (or at least look like one).

I've found through trial and error that very, very few aftermarket wheels look good on BMWs...you can never go wrong with M-Pars if you go aftermarket. But personally, and this may sound crazy, but I think the factory wheels that BMW makes for their //M cars and 7 series can't be beat.

I would be painting the factory wheels, if anything. Who knows....What are the specs and plans for your 3?
