Fellas make sure you step outside to smell the roses.. The players don't give a crap... Why should we!
Elvis Dumervil
Thanks for losing the game sir! I hope you have a awesome ride home today..
Fellas I'm not mad.. Season was over for me when we lost to Colin Kapernerick..
Y'all boys have a good work week. I'm gonna relax.
I feel bad for the defense. They're really trying out there but the offense and now ST is really doing dumb things. I don't quite get this.
You do get it Grim, it's called football man..
Why are we acting like it's the end of the world.
We are last in creating turnovers and we turn the ball over.
This is a microcosm of the season.
I'm not going to get mad. .. I'm focusing my attention on the draft. That is our best chance to purge this roster of marginal players.
I'm not gonna over react
4 turnovers you should lose
3 quick observations
Our OL isn't that good
WR see above
Our secodary doesn't create turnovers
Our QB play has not been good this year
Lawrence Guy just stood there.. Did you all see that! He literally just stopped moving and going after the quarterback.. It's obvious to me we need to flip this roster. We need a roster purge and Harbs need to reevaluate his coaching philosophy. He pulls out the challenge flag when plays can't be challenged. We still have guys like Jimmy Smith diving head first at a Quarterback when he has clearly given himself up. It's just undisciplined football..
Players need to be held accountable.
Kamar Aiken I am officially done with him
Lawrence Guy see above
Eugene Monroe see above
Can't argue with that statement it's fact
I'm throwing perriman in the arthur brown boat..
I'm not mad.. Just realizing that we are no longer in a reload mode.
Game over..
What are you talking about? Monroe is no Ogden but he's certainly a top 10 LT in the league. He was slowed by injury last year but has been pretty durable otherwise. Talk about prisoner of the moment.
Dan let's see how he does this year. He's paid like a top 5 LT and he's not top 5. My issue with him is based on watching um let's see every single game he's played in as a Raven.
Thanks for the awesome rebuttal!
Eugene Monroe..
aka Big Softy!
one of the most overpaid nfl soft OL around. I was against his signing and don't believe we can win with a guy manning Joe's blind side.
That's a big drop from where you had Monroe last year (I think number 2). Shows you how fluid a list like this is. Props for going full 20, and I like your list a lot. I'll have to think on this for a little bit to make one of my own.
Monroe is terrible.. I had a passionate debate with several members of this blog about this. I didn't believe he was worth his contract. I still don't and nothing against the guy, just don't think he's nasty or physical enough to play LT at a top level. Too many games I witnesses and then rewatched him on his pants.
This guy is just different, but I like him, hoping he has a really solid year 2.http://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/10/opinion/sunday/john-urschel.html?rref=collection/column/sunday-review-download&module=ArrowsNav&contentCollection=Opinion&action=keypress®ion=FixedLeft&pgtype=article
On who our biggest steal is, that's very debatable. It's a tough one to gauge. How do you define a steal? Is it a player who would've gone earlier, who had a higher grade compared to where he ultimately fell? Is it a player who develops and becomes a top-10 player at their position? For me, is the latter, and since it's too early to judge, I'll go based off of how I graded these players.
I had originally graded Perriman, Davis, Williams, and Allen with second round grades. Perriman went first and Williams went second. Considering that the draft was walk after a certain number, what I gauged to be 10 truly elite players, then that's not so bad. I may have been wrong on Perriman, so chalk that up to a mistake. I never thought Williams was worth a first but he's definitely worth a second and I'm shocked he feel as far as he did. He was great value for sure. Steal? Not yet but maybe in a few years.
Davis is a guy I had a second round grade, so him falling to the third is good value but also not great value. He's got questions and I liked a lot of what I saw from his teammate; however, I admittedly don't know if Davis helped free up LTP or if LTP is just a beast. I still really liked what I saw from LTP but I'll defer to Ozzie. They know DL.
As for Allen, as I said he was a second round pick for me. To get him in the fourth is absurd value. I had him up there with Gordon and I loved Gordon. Allen could also become our top RB as early as next year, so I think he's got what it takes to be the steal of this class due to where he was drafted and his impact.
I trust Ozzie, simply because they watch game film and we get highlights/cut ups. As a current coach I always get asked for game tapes and not highlights.
I was listening to 105.7 last year before the draft, and I'm pretty sure it was rob that said he would be scared if manziel went to the Browns, and that they would win the division if he did go there. LOL
Rob is terrible, I can't get 105.7 in downtown Silver Spring now that I have moved. I actually like 92.7 and Cooley, and Zab they gave legit football conversation with differing opinions.
Wouldn't be mad. If you look at the 13 draft, not too many picks seem to be working out that well, yet, we were able to find a 3 starters, though they were later round picks. For fun, go back and look at the first round. You go with best available and ILB will be a need soon with Smith being up there in age. I wanted a wr last yeat, but the team took the same 3 positions with our first 3 picks and showed me they have a much better grasp of what to do than myself. I trust our FO, for the most part, to make the right decision.
Agreed, I'm gonna look back at both the 2012 and 2013 drafts.. Just to see who panned out.
Paul Kruger was another player who's reps were limited and saw very little time on the field, but when he got his chance, he shined. I haven't given up faith in Art, just think he's in a crowded position group and doesn't provide anything for ST.
How would you feel if we draft another ILB this year?
I'll admit he hasn't panned out yet as I hoped and he's proved you right but it's too early to give up on him just like it's too early on Elam. This year should tell us what we need to know though.
I would concur, I hope he proves me wrong. He has all the tools physically just want to see him put it all together.
What does being from Kansas have anything to do with it?
He has only made $1.93 million between his signing bonus and first two year salaries. Before taxes and agent fee's. Now thats a heck of alot more than I ever will but not all of Kansas is farms and po'dunk either.
Agreed and I was saying referring to the cost of living when I mentioned Kansas.
I told Grim I thought he was a bust, I'm sticking to my prediction. He has spent 730 of his professional playing career on the bench. He's from Kansas he has plenty of money, but does he have the desire.
I will say this though.. Put him on a team that has a 4-3 scheme and you will see something solid out of him.
Found this information on a vikings blog
I think maybe Flowers should still be given a call, but I wouldn't offer him more than a dumervilsque type of deal.
They made a call to a player who, despite his Pro Bowl selection in 2013, was rated last year as among the worst corners in the league by Pro Football Focus. They made a call to a player who arguably is not a good fit in Mike Zimmer’s scheme with its press-man looks.
This is why you call Brandon Flowers fellas
Why call Brandon Flowers at all? Because you looked at your depth chart and realized that you are still in some difficulty.
Brandon Flowers should have a contract sent to him tonight!
Come on Ozzie.. This guy is in his prime.. Sign him to a 3/4 year incentive laden deal and make it happen.
Leach will walk away... you cannot lowball the man. That's disrespectful and serves no purpose.
I'm more concerned with how much Pitta and Monroe will want. I honestly think Pitta should get a deal like 4yr 27 million.. maybe 20 million guaranteed. The rest tied into playing time and incentives.
Monroe should get a deal similar to the one Jake Long received from the Rams.. Eugene made 5.26 roughly this year... so 4 yr 33-34 million.. I wouldn't object.
I think the biggest concept going forward is we MUST HIT ON OUR NEXT 2-3 drafts and I mean hit!
Koch is gone for sure. The guy has been on the decline for 2 years. Last year's performance pretty much sealed the deal.
Anyone know a fresh face from college thats likely to be a viable candidate for late round/udfa?
University of Miami's Patrick O'Donnell... 6.4 230... Averages 47.1 yards per punt. Finished his collegiate season with 9 straight games with 52+ypa punts...
Could bring him in undrafted and go from there. I would like us to use the same approach we did finding Justin Tucker.

Elvis dumervil has a HISTORY of bone head plays.. He is always committing a silly penalty or something like that.
