ugh, I dunno what's going on with those pics, hopefully get them back on soon
More so than that avatar pic
Mr Clooney begs to differ!

And yes, he's rockin a "Beatles" t-shirt
haha, 1/28/01 Jr. looks like he's ready go for a cruise!
Here's the one I just bought:

Gonna sand her down and repaint it this weekend!
Needs a new top motor (brand new top, though), needs all new seats (drivers side is torn pretty good and the rear was burned from cigarettes that actually caught fire), tiny ara of rust needs to be cut out from the passenger door and thats about it. Overall, its in awesome condition for a 13 year old car.
I just bought an E36 today too! Mine isn't the convertible though. Will post some pics tomorrow!
Nice find, can't wait to see it with the top down!
I have decided against selling the CJ
I am now going to add a family style YJ roll cage, 1.25" body lift, 35's of some sort and a 401 TBI Fuel Injuection kit to leave the carb world!!
I kinda had a feeling you wouldn't let her go! You always spoke so fondly of the CJ!
Have an interesting project coming up hopefully in the next week or so as I find time!
I got a great deal on a '98 BMW 740iL. Original owner sold me the car, 88k miles, interior in mint condition but has some paint flaws on the rear quarter panel due to his motorcycle falling on it (a little ding too). I could just pull the dent out and spray it, but the car is a dark green and I'm not a big fan of the color -- so, I'm gonna paint it midnight blue.
So what, you ask?
Here's where it gets interesting...
I'm going to paint it myself -- with a roller! To most sane people, this must sound absurd, but I did this to a previous car with awesome results.
The point of doing this is:
1) Saving a couple thousand bucks
2) Simple gratification of doing something that not many others have done!
All in all, this will cost just under $400.
3 qt. HOK Midnite Blue ($85/qt)
1 qt. HOK Primer and Activator ($50 total)
1 qt. Kosmic Klear ($40)
various hardeners, mineral spirits, etc... (~ $50)
I do have a sprayer, and will do certain sections with that (door jams, etc) but most of the body will be done with a high density foam roller.
Will post some before / after pics when this is all done!
Its like a car carousel around here. Ever since wrecking my car last year, its been nuts. But now with another baby on the way, I want a massive SUV (I work from home and rarely drive, so gas consumption isn't really a concern of mine). My mother wants the S80, the wife still continues to drive the X5 even after my devious plan, the CJ never moves (and is for sale), the truck is, well, a truck that I beat the piss out of and the Benz is on jack stands in the garage! I need something that is mine that the family can rock in comfort (truck doesn't allow this) and safety (CJ certainly doesn't allow this). I think, financially, the most make sense of the 3 mentioned in my post above is the Z71...plus I like the look and I would most likely throw on a leveling kit/lift keys and some 33's
Financially the Z71 probably is the best option...not to mention it is, uh, "spacious".
Surprisingly, the Caddy would be my last choice of the three you mentioned.
I'm partial to the Denali, but if I take my bias out, I'd say go with the Z71
Since I have your attention..opinion?
Suburban Z71, Yukon Denali XL or Escalade ESV? I want a mammoth SUV and I have been looking at these three (basically the same damn thing) and I'm just curious of others opinions.
Cant lose either way! I'd honestly just go with whichever is the best deal financially.
I've always loved Denalis; best combo of the Suburban's ruggedness and the Caddy's luxury..
I would have guessed that
lmao ... I thought maybe a Hummer with 28" chrome spinners ...
Ever wondered what The Ultimate Warrior is up to these days?
I never knew he was that much of an idiot.
Have you guys seen this? Some guy turned his 2002 Mercury Cougar Coupe into a replica of the Bugatti Veyron. Engine is untouched though, it's still a standard 2.5L V6!
freaking' ricerz
Really? I am in love with this look!! It will be built, oh, it will be built!
not that I think it's ugly, it just has a weird mix of old school and new school. Just looks like it was patched together. Maybe if you tighten up the gaps and clean it up a little I'd have a different opinion,,,,,,,,,,,,
,
4.10's which is why I'd like to jump up to 35's. Runs a little high (RPM wise) when in 3rd (the final gear).

My next project is a 4 door Wrangler JK. I am in love and want to replicate something like this:

really not a fan of that...thing.
Looks like the byproduct of a Hummer getting drunk one night and picked up a Wrangler at the gas station.,,,,,,,,
Yeah, those darn little 6.6 liter motors....
Love it. That's always been my main gripe with Jeeps -- the lack of torque. That 6.6L should take care of that.
Procomp FTW
Very nice!
Well, since we're reminiscing, here is my 2000 Wrangler back in 2001.

It was a 2000 Wrangler Sport with an 8" Skyjacker Longarm Lift, 2" coil spacers (10" lift total) 39" Swamper SX's, Dana 44 Axles, 4.88 gears, Detroit Lockers, PS2 with a flip down monitor on the hard top, soft and hard top/doors and used to have a Warn 8274 winch!

Started out as a stock (obviously) black on black Wrangler and then grew to this and was painted Honda blue electron pearl

This thing was my BABY, but sold it in 2003 to buy my first house....oops!

There are pictures of a picture, so they're not the best clarity...
love the house! And now I dont feel like a creeper for keeping pics of cars that I dont have anymore haha.
,
yea lol im a little sketchy on exactly how much it increases but for now i can only go off of what it apparently says..... 17.5 HP gains..... so 349.5 overall lol but i also bought it because apparently is increases your mpg by 2-3 miles, getting 23-24 mpg right now city.

go all out man and get yourself a nismo! (your name speaks for itself! haha) 350 hp stock. v6 engine. everytyhing.

i do plan on taking it to the track and seeing what it runs.... i also plan on going to my dealership and buying a nismo catback exhaust system ...further increasing the overall HP of the car ( from what car nuts have told me) betters the air flow throughout the car thus resulting in overall HP gains.
yeah, not a big deal, since if you're going to mod the car that's one of the first mods you should make anyway. It's just that that motor already is a beast; there's not much power left to pull out of it without going FI.
i'd love to grab a Nismo, but unfortunately (for me lol) that's outta my budget for a play car. Besides, I actually prefer the older Z32 like the one above; I actually carried a pic of a Z32 in my wallet for 10 years. Was my dream car...ended up throwing twin turbos in it.
Since then I've become obssessed with BMW's. May sound strange but the reason I bought the 335i is because it reminded me so much of the Z...the power delivery and way it handled felt very familiar; but with a modern interior.,,,,
Was reminiscing about my 300ZX; here's a couple pics I have of it.
The day I picked it up:

just had to stop to take a pic on the way home:

couple weeks later:

Dude, I feel your pain!!! Sucks! I assume your sis is alright?
Just listed the CJ for sale (just a feeler to see what kind of nibbles I can get). I have an entire build sheet done on a 4 dr Wrangler (KJ) that I'd like to build next. I just can't stop myself! What is wrong with me (all of us)?
Thank you for asking, but she wont be alright when I see her tomorrow. lol ( ? -- not sure yet if I am joking or not ).
I'd love a CJ, but that beast wont work as my DD or I'd be PM'ing you right now.
My sister just wrecked my 335i today. Looks like I'm going to total it. Not a happy camper right now. I'm driving around in my 1993 740iL that is in the middle of being gutted. Dont even have the exhaust back on yet, I ordered an exhaust yesterday and pulled off the stock exhaust today so all I have to do is bolt on the new one when it arrives. Now I'm driving around like one of those dooshes that hang out at gas station parking lots: loud *** exhaust, Taco Bell wrappers on the floor, a muffler attached with coat hangers and tape...all I need is a wing and spray paint the hood, and I'll be ready to pick up some hunnies at Sheetz!
2011 Nissan 370z..... v6 engine..332 horsepower (stock), 230 pounds of torque, weighs just over 3,000 pounds...

Mods: STillen gen 3 intake (being installed on tuesday)....overall horsepower gain of 17.5... bringing it to 349.5
i'd love to see a dyno run proving Stillen's claim of 17 HP from an intake on a stock V6 already making 332 HP. So if ya happen to take it out on a dyno at any point, be sure to share on here.
Vince prefers reconciliation to holding grudges, positive affirmation and nostalgia are good for business.

Prior to his death I had heard that Hogan hadn't spoken to Savage in 10 years before recently talking again, maybe Savage just finds it hard to bury the hatchet?
well, the main reason I stopped following wrestling was twofold; one was I simply much prefer the old format/presentation, especially WCW/NWA, and secondly I worshipped Ric Flair and when it was apparent that he was just going to be used as a parody of his former self, I didn't want to be around for that...
I mention this, because I have some Ric Flair videos, and he talks about what BS businessmen Crockett and Bischoff were, and how well MCMahon treats his people.
Not having all the facts, I tend to believe that Macho was more to blame for any lingering hard feelings...
The craziest (and strangely, most widespread) theory is that Vince holds a grudge against Macho Man for having slept with Stephanie McMahon when Steph was in high school. I don't buy it, but as most sensationalism has a tendency to do, the story spread like wildfire and has become accepted as fact in some circles.

The other (more plausible) theory is that Vince had a handshake agreement with Macho Man to stay in the WWF, Macho didn't want to take the offer Vince gave him for his cushy wrestler/commentator role and instead bolted to WCW for more guaranteed money and a full-time wrestling schedule, and Vince had held a long-standing grudge over that betrayal. While it seems a little ridiculous that Vince would hold it against Macho longer than Bret Hart, Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan, and others who did far worse, part of it may have had to do with the timing, especially during a time where the WWF didn't have nearly as many big stars.
i wouldn't be surprised if either rumor was true, although neither reallly makes sense to me.
