  1. Yeah, soon as I posted that I figured they probably have enough shot to kill him off, maybe with a stunt double driving if they have to.

I wonder if he was killed in his Skyline. That would be even more ironic, I think they used his car in one of the movies.

    He was in his Porsche.

  2. Id like to see one of these paint jobs you're pulling off. lol. The point is there's a lot more to it.. Practice ! It can be done, but acting like very one can do a quality job is just wrong. Maybe you're born to do it...

Go back to page 35; the red 300zx was painted by me in my garage last year.

If you look close enough, you'll see a couple paint chips that have occured since then, but for $500 in materials and a weekend of labor and drinking beer, I think it's pretty solid for a backyard paint job.

I think that anyone who can follow instructions can do a half decent job their first time; granted they will probably be doing a lot of color sanding to fix orange peel and fish eyes that we probably all got our first time, but if they put the time into it, the end result should be way better than the crap Maaco does, for the same or less money, and using better paint

  3. I wouldn't say it would be quality job. Might look good enough, but with limited experience you're not getting a great product. If someone wanted to start trying though... hit up crazy rays for some practice parts. BTW.. you also need reducer, hardener , DA pads, masking tape , scotch-brite pads, tack rags, Flex agent depending on the surface.... there's really a lot to it if you want to do it right. Not to mention, the environment needs to be sterile or close to it. Also... if you don't want to get high as a kite... a respirator or mask at a minimum.

I'd assume most DIY's will already have most or all of those things...but it doesn't amount to much money if needed

Painting isn't rocket science; if you can read a paint can label, wash and tape off a car, adjust a spray gun and run a DA sander, you can paint a car with decent results (assuming you're not painting your car in your driveway), especially if you spray a single stage. First timers should just buy a little extra paint to correct flaws and lay down a couple extra coats, since I'd expect they will get familiar with color sanding real fast lol

  4. Anyone have any experience with plastidip?

Looking at doing my emblems etc not anything major

Thinking about practicing on my truck first before I do it to my car...

Awesome stuff. People are painting entire cars with it lol....most of what I saw looks like asss, but that stuff would be great if you are just doing emblems and whatnot

  5. I paint my cars all the time. Not expensive at all if you do it yourself...about $300 for 2 QTS of basecoat and 2 QTS of clear. Another $50 on sandpaper, compounds and polishes.

If you dont have a spray gun or air compressor, can rent one for Home Depot for I think $100 for a full day...

So you can have a quality paint job with great paint for under $500...

  6. How are we deep at wide reciever? What have we seen from Doss besides a lot of dropped balls that proves he is a viable option? What have we seen from guys like streeter laquan and deonte besides some pre season flashes and a few regular season catches? I'm not saying this is 0-16 and the sky is falling, but they need to draft a guy who isn't a project or sign a second tier wideout in free agency.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that our FO has taken this into consideration before trading Boldin.

  7. My sister wants 2,000 for her 2005 Black Mustang. Not a GT, but still a fast, great looking car. I turn 21 next month.. can't wait to take that baby to the bar!

Where is she located? Is it still for sale?? PM me ASAP if so and she is within a couple hundred miles of Hanover, PA

  8. I would be painting the factory wheels, if anything. Who knows....What are the specs and plans for your 3?

Its a '94 325i; bone stock...going to paint it myself, but not going to go too crazy with modding it. Just going to install a set of coilovers, a Conforti chip (good for +22 HP and 19 ft-lb on a stock motor), pulleys, a set of sticky Michelins and a shorter rear end. Maybe a muffler (just for sound; you'll only get 2-4 HP from a muffler upgrade on these cars and save some weight) too.

I was seriously considering parting out my 740iL and dropping that motor/tranny into the 3, but I love that car too much! BMWs to me are what CJs are to you! I'm not really a brand [profanity deleted], but I really cant see myself ever getting another kind of car...have the 7 for daily driving/family, another 7 just for parts, and now the 3 will be a fun toy car.

  9. Yeah, I was in between on the black wheels, but you two make 5 for NO....so, nope!

Hey if you like them, that's all that matters. But black wheels would only work on that car if you were making it a track car (or at least look like one).

I've found through trial and error that very, very few aftermarket wheels look good on BMWs...you can never go wrong with M-Pars if you go aftermarket. But personally, and this may sound crazy, but I think the factory wheels that BMW makes for their //M cars and 7 series can't be beat.

  10. Complete 5 minute hack job in photoshop, but should I go with black wheels?

    BMW.jpg

Yuck. Darkest I'd go on that car is maybe gun metal.

But a better idea would be to grab some used stock ///M3 rims (from the E46 M3)

    I like these too:
