I would hope you are smart enough to check through the starters.   Unless you really factor in Murray as actual QB lol.

So, you really believe that Matt Ryan is the second best QB in the NFL, or Dak is the fourth best, or Stafford the fifth best? Or is that just their statistical ranking?

They do matter... If you're into fantasy football. Which has honestly ruined the game for fans. It's easy to win a fantasy league nowadays because people don't consider certain things.

I'm sorry. Andy Dalton, has posted pretty good stats over the past few years with supporting casts that have been all around greater than Joe. Yet, he can't win big games, and hasn't had half of the success as Flacco has had. Let's look at Matt Stafford. Brilliant fantasy QB, has messed up in the big games? Tony Romo usually posts good stats, yet he can't stay healthy and has choked in bigger moments than Flacco EVER has.

Sorry. Flacco has the it factor. He shows up for big games(namely the playoffs), and has performed well in the big moment(which I understand why it's infuriating. We all know he can play at a really high level, we've seen him do it throughout multiple playoff appearances). Give me as many mediocre regular season games as you want. Where we still win, and make the playoffs, and if we have the chance for a SB(which we usually do), and he plays well in the playoffs(which he usually does), then I don't give a damn if he threw only 3000 yards and 15 TDs.

Flacco has been horrible this year. But the fact is you've been down on him for years, and he's proven you wrong time, and time again. Won you a damn super bowl(and yes. He gets most of the credit for that one. Sorry)

You must be enjoying this year because he is actually playing poorly, yet we can still make the postseason where both of us know, he earns that fat old contract of his since.. Well... HE HISTORICALLY PLAYS WELL THERE.

Smh. If Flacco wins us another Super bowl, which is very possible given how good the young talent on the team looks, then he will have earned every penny of that contract. Sorry. That's what his job is.

"But we could save a crap ton of money."

Fine, let him go to Chicago, where he'll have an elite nfl WR to throw to, an offensive line that has played well, a good rookie RB, and a defense that could be on the rise who will likely get a high draft selection. Or let him go to the Texans, who have good WRs, a very good defense a good offensive line, and a pretty good RB in Lamar Miller. Suddenly that team becomes a contender even if he's "meh" during the regular season.

Sorry dude, and other Flacco haters. HE'S STAYING. You can protest all you freaking want. None of you have an impact on this decision in any way, shape, or form.

Say it with me: @flynismo and @The Raven. I'm glad the fans

    dont run the team!

"For NFL players, emotional intelligence and situational awareness play a huge role in defining how well players respond under pressure."Written by Gar Wang from Pro Player Insider

This quote fits more to Joe Flacco in that "emotional intelligence and situational awareness"  points to someone that can control their emotions and is acutely aware of when and how to express them.  Makes sense since Joe is at his best when under pressure.

Yep. Many past and present members of this team have pointed to Flacco's confidence and coolness under pressure as an inspiration for them to fight hard for the team. If that isn't emotional leadership, I don't know what is.

Thank you. That's my only point here. We're not Dallas, but we're no scrubs either. Just about giving credit where credits due.

Well, I wouldn't say we're scrubs, we are just inexperienced at two of the positions. and Zuttah is having a terribad year.

What I am saying is that the overall OL play has been very bad this year, but Castillo is not to blame for it. It's just due to lack of experience, and a vet playing poorly. And also, injuries, of course. There IS hope for this line, we just won't see the fruits of it this season.

Pro Tip Fly: Most times I find you to be quit resourceful and within reason, but are you saying that Castillo must go?

No no, I'm not sure how you arrived at that conclusion, but absolutely not! In fact, you probably missed it, but just a few posts ago in this topic, I said the exact opposite. It absolutely is not on Castillo. Not at all! Here's the post I mention:

Castillo shouldn't be criticized for an injury-plagued line, a mediocre center, and a below average left guard.

It really is that simple. I cannot fathom what is so hard to understand about that.

We are in complete agreement with each other. The only difference in opinion we had is I think maybe I wasn't clear in my meaning, and confused you as to what I was saying.

this season we're ranked 20th in sacks, 26th in QB hits, and 28th in yard per carry. Dolphins are beating us bad in each category.

Speak for yourself fly. My I test tells me that the PFF assessment may not be the all-in-all barometer, but multiple Oline players having top 5 performance grades consistently throughout the season thus far says - we're not the scrubs that some are seeing in here.

In light of the above...what does the eye test tell you now? (Pro tip: it should tell you to visit an ophthalmologist ASAP!)

Fair criticism? Currently Ravens Offensive Line ranked #13 - Dolphins Offensive Line ranked #31

    https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-ranking-all-32-offensive-lines-this-season/

That's 'slightly' lower than a fair assessment. And it's all Ozzie's fault?

Just in: Currently 11th ranked OLine - Ravens

    I'm very anti-PFF:

This is another example of why. Can you honestly look someone in the eyes, and tell them with a straight face that this OL is one of the 11 best in the league?

    Me neither.

I honestly put the blame at Ozzie's feet. Look at the Dolphins. They had a crappy, crappy line, and over the offseason, they invested in it big time. Now it's poppin'.

Imagine if, instead of drafting a project in Ryan Jensen, Ozzie actually got a quality guard. I think he gambles and puts a little too much faith in Castillo to get satisfactory results out of mediocre players. Robert Myers and Ryan Jensen fit that description in my book.

That's a fair criticism. However, I think it's just that good values in the middle rounds are common at OG, so I think we focused more on the high valued positions early on.

Of course, that's a gamble in itself, which is why I think the criticism is more than fair.

I think a lot of people just assume that Brees makes everyone around him better, but they invest pretty hefty amounts of resources into that offense and draft players that just fit that offense.

As a side note, I didn't think Martin or Mosley would be there at 17 (or really all that close), so my favorite player was Brandin Cooks. He'd be a huge asset here now and would have been an awesome opportunity to learn from SSS, a player I think he compares favorably to.

Personally I love Michael Thomas, I think he'd be the perfect complement here. I like Snead a lot too, but he reminds me too much of Mark Clayton. But hell, just give us Sean Payton, I'd be happy as a clam. I'd offer the Saints a 1st and 4th for him if I could.

Nothing wrong with that at all and that's the direction the Ravens seemed to be trending on Thursday.

Absolutely, I don't mean to sound negative in any way towards Brees. And I had the exact same thought about us heading towards that style offense. I can only hope at least.

    Props? Are you kidding me…

    He doesn’t deserve any!

I tell you what, how about we rub his tummy wammy?  Along with the belly rub, we can always give him a high school “Participation” trophy for his slow start and rookie decisions.

    Would that appease you?

The way I see it, if Cleveland wants him please by all means, let him GO!!!  At his salary we can draft a rookie QB to do what he does and save a ton of money in the process.

I don't even know why I'm responding to this mindless drivel, but look at it like this: If people can moan and cry all week long about an INT, then we can "give him props" when he plays well too. If you disagree with that, well, I sincerely hope that you find happiness somewhere in life.
