  1. Go back to page 35; the red 300zx was painted by me in my garage last year. If you look close enough, you'll see a couple paint chips that have occured since then, but for $500 in materials and a weekend of labor and drinking beer, I think it's pretty solid for a backyard paint job. I think that anyone who can follow instructions can do a half decent job their first time; granted they will probably be doing a lot of color sanding to fix orange peel and fish eyes that we probably all got our first time, but if they put the time into it, the end result should be way better than the crap Maaco does, for the same or less money, and using better paint
  2. I'd assume most DIY's will already have most or all of those things...but it doesn't amount to much money if needed Painting isn't rocket science; if you can read a paint can label, wash and tape off a car, adjust a spray gun and run a DA sander, you can paint a car with decent results (assuming you're not painting your car in your driveway), especially if you spray a single stage. First timers should just buy a little extra paint to correct flaws and lay down a couple extra coats, since I'd expect they will get familiar with color sanding real fast lol
  3. Awesome stuff. People are painting entire cars with it lol....most of what I saw looks like asss, but that stuff would be great if you are just doing emblems and whatnot
  4. I paint my cars all the time. Not expensive at all if you do it yourself...about $300 for 2 QTS of basecoat and 2 QTS of clear. Another $50 on sandpaper, compounds and polishes. If you dont have a spray gun or air compressor, can rent one for Home Depot for I think $100 for a full day... So you can have a quality paint job with great paint for under $500...
  5. We need details!

      hi flynismo, whats up?

  9. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that our FO has taken this into consideration before trading Boldin.
  10. Dont know why so many people dont understand this
  11. Hmm... $6M opens up a lot of possibilities...really hate to lose Anquan though
  12. How much cap space does cutting Boldin save us? Boldin is my second WR ever, right after Moss, but if we use that money to land a quality LT or DT, then I'd support this
  13. Boldin deserves that money. It is up to the FO to decide whether or not we can afford to pay him the money that he deserves.
  14. sad face...lol... Dude, jump on that before she comes to her senses!!
  15. Sexy!
  16. Where is she located? Is it still for sale?? PM me ASAP if so and she is within a couple hundred miles of Hanover, PA
  17. Its a '94 325i; bone stock...going to paint it myself, but not going to go too crazy with modding it. Just going to install a set of coilovers, a Conforti chip (good for +22 HP and 19 ft-lb on a stock motor), pulleys, a set of sticky Michelins and a shorter rear end. Maybe a muffler (just for sound; you'll only get 2-4 HP from a muffler upgrade on these cars and save some weight) too. I was seriously considering parting out my 740iL and dropping that motor/tranny into the 3, but I love that car too much! BMWs to me are what CJs are to you! I'm not really a brand [profanity deleted], but I really cant see myself ever getting another kind of car...have the 7 for daily driving/family, another 7 just for parts, and now the 3 will be a fun toy car.
  18. Wow, if you're going to get a new car for a first car, you definitely made a good choice!
  19. Those cars got awesome reliability ratings on Edmunds (I think it was Edmunds)
  20. Let's try again...
  21. Hey if you like them, that's all that matters. But black wheels would only work on that car if you were making it a track car (or at least look like one). I've found through trial and error that very, very few aftermarket wheels look good on BMWs...you can never go wrong with M-Pars if you go aftermarket. But personally, and this may sound crazy, but I think the factory wheels that BMW makes for their //M cars and 7 series can't be beat.
  22. Yuck. Darkest I'd go on that car is maybe gun metal. But a better idea would be to grab some used stock ///M3 rims (from the E46 M3) I like these too:
  23. What is an o face? And nobody ever explained what that 5 letter p word was! Are they related somehow?
  24. Actually, I was pushing out a fart in that photo...that's my poo face!
  25. ugh, I dunno what's going on with those pics, hopefully get them back on soon
