  1. Aw man! Wish I would have known that, I need more Chapelle in my life!
  2. Really? Half the forum yelled at me and called it creepy lol
  3. By the way, I thought everyone would appreciate my new avatar...."Homer"...heh
  4. Hey, I'll take that...that sounds like a normal pre-2016 week around here, which means we're an unquestionable top 3-4 team in the conference again
  5. Lol, you guys crack me up! Funny thing is, my avatar is a black guy disguised as a white guy...if he thought that was a girl in the avatar, I'm gonna pray for him tonight ? Anyway, BmoreBird22, I don't even remember what we were arguing about, so....words. Lost_in_Translation, you "wonder how many people think you're a girl" Stop playin! We all know what that screen name means lol! Anyway, what are predictions for next week? Another good performance or back to a stuttering offense?
  6. First of all, its 'him' not 'her'. Secondly, do those words in bold sound like something a "Flaccopologist" says? No, you gave up because you knew I was right and had nothing to say about it. Simple as that.
  7. Hey, I said I agree with all that, after all, the video confirms it! There was just confusion on the definitions of: "separation", "low", "short" and "atrocious". I understand the meaning of those words now, and we are in agreement
  8. Ah, of course, thank you. Also, where do we stand on the OL and drops? Does that fall under the "huge contract" clause as well, where he is supposed to personally hand the ball to each receiver, and block for himself?
  9. Yes, I'm a Flaccopologist because the video clearly shows that the pass was not low and short as you claimed. Nor was there this mystical separation. Really, that label means nothing to me.
  10. I am happy for BP. I was a fanboy of his long before he ended up on this team. Some people just refuse to give credit where it's due, but they're quick to criticize.
  11. Okay, right on. Perriman had clear separation and made a catch of the year despite the horrible pass from Flacco. Flacco just got lucky. Flacco also didn't complete 74% of his passes, Marty's playcalling did. Forget what SSS said, clearly that first INT was on Flacco too. Am I understanding all this correctly now? Just want to make sure I'm getting with the program.
  12. We're talking about what an "atrocious" pass Flacco threw on the TD to Perriman.
  13. Where? At what point was the CB not right in Perriman's pocket the entire way down the field? That is not showing up in any of the angles shown there. Start at 0:28, it shows a perfect angle, and that DB is side by side with him the entire length of the field. I mean you can stand by that opinion all you want, that's cool, but the video of the play is right there for all to see.
  14. It's not that bad compared to a few other QBs in the league, but it's not the same Flacco, it's painfully clear in how he moves, and how (much less) quickly he moves. That is all I am saying; he is not moving as fluidly nor quickly as he always has. I think he is moving around well enough to not be a liability in that aspect, but that's about it. Think about it, when is Flacco at his absolute best? Would you agree that it is when he moves over to the hashes and is throwing plenty of intermediate and deep passes? This season, we have not seen much of that.
  15. I think you need to rewatch that Perriman TD play http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/videos/NFLN-Perriman-Pulls-In-Acrobatic-27-Yard-TD-/1db4e937-0962-4d67-a34f-f28fbda7762d Beginning at 0:42, you see Perriman running to the end zone, with his body turned to the inside of the field the entire time, hence the pass being spotted to the inside of the field, like you mentioned. At 0:47 and 0:48, you see a clear shot of the ball over and behind the defender, and at Perriman's chest level. Also note that at 0:47, the defender is facing the sideline, expecting Perriman to dig into the corner, and Perriman is facing the inside of the field. So no, the pass was not put short, nor was it low. It was put exactly how I claimed it was -- in a spot where only Perriman had a shot at catching it. Is it a good catch by Perriman? YES! Is it some rare play that only guys like Odell Beckham makes? Not even close. Even if it were, it does not take away the fact that it was a well spotted pass. And yes, Marty gets a heck of a lot of credit for putting together a good game plan. When he does that, it allows everyone else an opportunity to shine. But we still have to execute, and we did exactly that last night. I agree Flacco isn't consistently hitting deep passes, and is not hitting intermediate ones consistently enough. And I agree, Flacco plays no small part in that. He has thrown more than his share of poor passes this season. He has also been screwed over by penalties, drops, Trestman and poor protection all season long. It isn't as simple as just saying "Fix Flacco" or "Flacco needs to get healthy" and expecting that our offense will be fine after that.
  16. That's exactly right; and to look at it from a different perspective, had Perriman let the ball go right through his hands, then everyone is upset because Perriman dropped it, and people like me are complaining that the WRs need to play better. The pass itself was nothing spectacular, no different from a run of the mill back shoulder throw or something like that. If Flacco throws a jump ball, then the defender has a chance to deflect it, or worse. Or maybe it gets overthrown. Instead, Flacco threw it to the side, and the DB froze, it looked like he was looking up for the jump ball and couldn't find it. Perriman then did what he gets paid to do, and did a great job adjusting and holding onto the ball.
  17. That first INT to SSS was all SSS. That TD pass to Perriman? The CB couldn't even attempt a play on the ball, and didn't. Only Perriman had a chance at it. That is the definition of a great pass.
  18. Of course he has all the excuses in the world. Have you seen the rest of this team play? People around here want to talk about "team sport" when Flacco is killing it, but suddenly when he is hurt and the people around him aren't doing their jobs consistently, it's no longer a team sport, it's "Flacco needs to play better" and "Flacco doesn't elevate the players around him." It's utter stupidity and hypocrisy (not directed at you, a generalized statement). If Joe can get criticized all week long over one INT that was his fault, he can also get praise for dropping 300+ yards and 3 TDs. And your closing sentence? Really? I'm going to assume you are just talking this season. It's not like this is the first time all year he has played well.
  19. Yeah, I realize you think that, I saw your post on the last page, which I refrained from commenting on. And to an extent, I kind of agree. On this very page, 15 or so posts up, I said: "If you look at the stats, you'd think he was damn good, but watching him move around the pocket and on that sprint, it was 100% clear that he just is not himself physically. He looks nothing like the Flacco we have seen the past eight years." And here's the part where I did not chime in and agree. You were quick to: credit Flacco's completion % to the OC (there is a degree of truth to this), speculate that the INT to SSS never had a chance of being completed (despite it being SSS in one-on-one against a nobody DB), said that this was "an atrocious throw" http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/videos/NFLN-Perriman-Pulls-In-Acrobatic-27-Yard-TD-/1db4e937-0962-4d67-a34f-f28fbda7762d (when it is clear as day that the ball was placed where ONLY Perriman even had a chance to make a play on it) I mean I get it, we can't point to injuries or the consistent screwups of the people around him as a defense for his play. But now, we can't even acknowledge him when he does well? We have to wait until he does it "consistently"? We've been through this song and dance for the past eight years. When he plays well consistently, it's because the running game and/or defense carries him, he's just a glorified game manager. If people are going to call Perriman a bust after 4-5 games in the league, I'm going to tip my hat when he deserves it to the player who has played the biggest role in our success "consistently" for years now. Neg away people, because I that's what I do. That's what a real Ravens supporter should be doing, rather than playing the role of arm chair Ozzie. SSS: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/videos/Full-Presser-Steve-Smith-Sr-Proud-Of-Breshad-Perriman/3210d479-88a4-4299-b6c6-2d0ca38a197d "So much energy gets put into correcting, and criticizing, and coaching; but the same amount of energy has to be put into encouraging."
  20. I don't even know why I do this to myself! Woke up in a great mood this morning, wanted to pop in on the boards here and see what my purple brethren are up to...but nothing but negativity everywhere. I used to love coming here. Now I find myself doing it more out of habit than for any enjoyment. Now you people get pissy when, god forbid, Ravens fans on a Ravens community board want to share in their excitement and spread some love after beating another divisional opponent, strengthening our hold on our divisional lead, showing some support for our QB who has struggled with injuries just to be here for us, and actually frowning upon people who give Flacco credit for doing a good job? What the hell happened to this place?
  21. Got it. So any semblance of positivity should not be displayed unless we do it week after week after week? People cannot give Joe credit for a job well done when he earns it? Nah, I'm not buying into that troll behaviour.
  22. Oh, yeah I should have known...basically just trolls being trolls. Thank you for clearing that up!
  23. Am I missing something? Why are you getting negged for saying this?
  24. Flacco tore CLE a new one. Other than one pick that was all on him, and also missing a wide open SSS near the goal line, he was great last night. But, the bad news is that I am now convinced he is still hurting a lot more than we realize. If you look at the stats, you'd think he was damn good, but watching him move around the pocket and on that sprint, it was 100% clear that he just is not himself physically. He looks nothing like the Flacco we have seen the past eight years. This is something to keep an eye on. Fortunately, thus is also the time of year when we traditionally start running the ball very well, so hopefully he can lean on the run game for a month or so and preserve his body for the postseason.
  25. You might want to go grab some lotto tickets
