Honestly I think our WR core will be better than people think. Can't forget about Chris Matthews, he's a real dark horse along with Chris Moore. Throw in a healthy Campanaro and all the TEs to throw to in the red zone, and I feel pretty good.

That was said last season. And in 2015 (pre-Perriman injur(ies)). And 2014. And 2013.

Are you really being critical of the offense for putting 34 points against a team that was being called one of the best defenses of the past decade? People would have been stunned if they hit 20 points but they put up 34.

To be fair it was 27 (JJ's kickoff TD added an extra 7), but Flacco was something like 66% completion, close to 300 yards, 3 TD/0 INT and helped convert a few clutch third downs. What more could anyone have wanted?

but there is no excuse taking humphrey over Allen Oj howard or R.foster. He plays more like a SS. I know this FO hates guys that actually make plays on the ball and prefer hard hitters but while everyone else here lauds this secondary, I think people are overrating it somewhat.

With Allen, my guess is that the FO doesn't expect the guy's shoulder(s) to hold up over the long run (due to him having arthritis in each). As for Foster and others like him, "thank" Ray Rice because I don't expect the FO to take a chance on any player with character issues for a long, long time.

    Still want Mangold.

Need to get bigger and a better run blocking presence in the middle. And someone who is great at recognizing pressure packages. Dude practiced for years against Rex Ryan's D. He's seen every type of blitz there is.

Claiborne or Logan Ryan would be intriguing too. Claiborne was really good last year before the injury. If he could just stay healthy he and Jimmy could make an excellent pairing on the outside.

A healthy Jimmy and Claiborne with Tavon in the slot and our safeties might not be quite Denvers No Fly Zone (at CB at least) or the SB winning Seahawks secondary.... but it wouldn't be too far off imo.

Could definitely help make up for a somewhat underwhelming pass rush.

Ryan's on the Titans now, I believe.

  5. I'm in favor of overhauling this off-man system. I'm just not a fan. I look at Jimmy at he just does not look comfortable. His footwork is sloppy and you cannot play off-man if your footwork is off. I also can tell he does not look comfortable because he falls too far back. It seems to me that he does not want to give up the big play. I don't know what is going on but I feel a new DC would be beneficial to him.

Defense's motto should be "Make a play" not "Don't give up the big play".
