  1. Must find a way to get sterling Shepard. MUST!!!!!!! I feel with SSS this will be a critical year for him as far as development, and honestly he is the WR in the draft pound for pound in my honest opinion.
  2. Really like Buckner at 6, I think he is actually the 2nd best player in the draft after Tunsil and not by much, also like Sterling Shepard, he is mt favorite receiver in the draft by far, thats a guy who would do well learning under SSS.
  3. Strelin Shepard I think he is def Raven material.
  4. Going out on limb here, but the Ravens are going to make the Playoffs at 8-8. Based on the conference being weak this year, it is going to come down to us, Squeelers, Jets and Bills. I think Oakland will eventually fall off and we will beat Miami in Miami, and not to mention the AFC East is pretty stacked. If we make to the playoffs, and somehow Perriman and a few more pieces are ready to go, anything can happen.
  5. Going to get a lot of negatives, but I can see Marlon Brown being cut, to me he just does not play like he is 6"5, I do see Deandre Carter making the team, he plays like a small faster version of Anquan Boldin (stout and mean).
  6. Well if this makes anyone feel better Mike Mayock had ranked as his 15th best player, Gill Brandt had him rank as his 10th best player and D.J had him ranked as 32nd best player; thats and average ranking of 16 from some of the trusted voices out there, So I think the Ravens may have gotten this one right and did not reach.
  7. Honestly I think the kid has the lowest floor of all the WRs taken in the 1st last night, however he may have the highest ceiling of all the WRs in the draft. I think if Ozzie and the crew are'nt BSing us and really had him ranked in the mid to low teens that says a lot about where they think he is now and even more as to where he could be; lets not kid ourselves 4.22 speed at 6'2 209 with football bloodlines does not come around everyday, therfore I think at pick 26 he may end up being a steal if they can coach up those loose ends.
  8. Any word on Carlos Fields out of Winston Salem, really hope we pick him up.
  9. All the negative doom in gloom, Ozzie has lost it blah blah, maybe he has maybe he hasn't but the point of the matter is this, know of us know and I mean none of us, what a player will become; which is why Ozzie said in the press conference you have to wait 3 years and see. People say oh if the player was so good why did he drop this far??? key term lack of discipline. The Ravens rarely lack that i,e drafting a Ray Lewis at 26, Ed Reed at 24, Toad Heap at 32, Ray rice in the second, Jimmy Smith at 24 and Torrey Smith at 56. Did they drop because they were not good at their positions no, but they did because other teams overlooked them or reached for other players trying to address needs. I watched a clip of Pete Carrol last night who said when it comes to drafting they take who they think is the best player and who fits there scheme and could careless where the rest of the football world grades them cause it really dosen't matter they have to play for them. Now I'm not saying the our scouts and GM are perfect and don't miss on players from time to time but they have proven as earlier as a year ago that their drafting method will help us win Superbowls.
  10. I almost had a heart attack when Deon Buccannon went 20 last night, really wanted to pick him up in the second, but there is loads of talent still left to be had, and if I were a guessing man the picks would go in this order 48) Cody Latimer 79) Billy Turner 99)Terrance Brooks (maybe wishful thiniking on this one but I don't see ppl grabbing safeties like they did last night)
  11. Great pick I think we will have dynamic LBing duo for years to come. Mosely was the BPA and I think is a better prospect than Luke Kechkly from Carolina coming out of Boston College. PPl dnt worry Arthur Brown will be on the field more snaps this year, but the value was just to high to pass up in my opinion.
  12. Your right no one knows when it comes to how a player will pan out once drafted, but what I do know is we have strong sample size of Zuttah at the pro level to grade him against the best of the best competition. Secondly I feel the biggest problem with line was no continutity. By OTAs we should have our hold line in tact and those guys along with Flacco and Zubiac will have time to get on the same page. We may still draft a center but it will be BPA draft pick and not reach type situation. If anyone of the centers fall are on the board in 3rd round or later and Ozzie feels like its the BPA I'm sure he will not hesitate because of this move.
  13. I like this pick up because honestly there is no Travis Fredrick or Alex Mac type center in this year's draft and you don't want to reach for a need. So I think this is the right move at worse he can come in and play guard. I think a 5th rounder in next year's draft is very little to give up for a proven young guy who is only been the league 6 yrs and is 27. As far as PFF is concern I trust Ozzie's grade far more better.
  14. I say we trade back in the draft now the wideout is not a code red any longer, unless someone like Ebron or one of tackles fall.
  15. Agreed. This is how teams fall from prominence. No disrespect to Big Mac but we won the superbowl with him not Monroe and big Mac was way out of his prime. I think that it goes to show how much faith they have in K.O as left guard helping the tackle out on that side. I think we pass on Monroe if he does not want to take 8 mil per year, we can get a lot cheaper that will do great in a zone blocking system.
