Anderson could very well be available in round2. If the draft takes that road. To go defensively. Then draft a Foster or Williams then trade up for Lawson/McDowell to add 2 front 7 monsters. If Howard is available ravens could go offensive route and add Howard and one of JuJu, Stewart, Westbrook in round2. And have a new tandem of playmakers. There is always offense and defense route

Anderson should be in round 2 but I seriously doubt he can be had if we stay put. Ideally, we take top guy at any position with #16 and then move up to high 2nd to grab Anderson.

Yeah I like Anderson better than his teammate, Tim Williams. I think he's faster off the ball, has better instincts, and plays the run better. I think Williams has more upside but I think Anderson has plenty of that, too. I really think he's just a better prospect

Also totally agree with you bout Anderson.

As probably the biggest Anderson fan around, I think Williams is better pass rusher and if the Ravens want an immediate impact off the edge, they should take one of Williams/Harris/McKinley with their 1st round.

Overall, I'm repeating myself I know, Anderson is just a complete player - he does everything very well as a 34 OLB and his biggest asset is his football intelligence. He diagnoses offense really well and you'll almost never find him out of play. Maybe Ozzie can find a way of taking Anderson without spending 16th on him?

I never said he would be available, but that doesn't mean I can't be surprised because people aren't picking him as their preference, not prediction.

Well, personal preference should be realistic, too. I wouldn't mind Myles Garrett either.

So I'm noticing that RT is a popular selection with our #16 overall pick, whether it's ESPN, Walterfootball, or some other mock draft pundit projecting Cam Robinson, Bolles, or Ramczyk.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a lazy projection? Ever since we drafted Alex Lewis, I always saw him as the projected RT of the future, considering we knew even last draft that Wagner was an inevitable FA loss. It seemed more like Lewis played LG out of necessity due to the dearth of Guard talent on this team. For reference, Lewis played OT in college, he played OT in training camp (and LG, of course), and he even played some OT out of necessity when Stanley was out. Plus his height-related struggles with getting leverage in the ground game always made him a less-appealing guard prospect in my eyes. So, while I do see where Alex Lewis could play LG in the future, it seems like drafting a LG (and obviously a C) should be a higher priority than drafting a RT, since that should be Lewis's ideal position.

    Thoughts?

Also, I am pretty out of the loop with the draft and this forum due to being busy lately, but I have been lurking a bit and catching up when I can. Hi everyone.

I don't think it's lazy projection, just plain wrong. There isn't a lineman this year who's going to be the best player at #16.

I think Peppers is sort of an outlier here. Who do you think takes him before we are on the clock?

I don't see how peppers is guaranteed to go before us...

Teams will have hard time passing the extreme athleticism and his versatility.

I see literally every team between 10 and 15 (inclusive) having a long look at him if he doesn't go even earlier (Chargers, maybe even Titans)

  6. I realise anything can happen on draft day but I wanted to put together a list of 10 players we will not / should not have a shot at with 16th pick. Any mock with one of these guys going to the Ravens I therefore find unrealistic, no matter what the rationale is.

    1. Myles Garrett
    2. Mike Williams
    3. Reuben Foster
    4. Jonathan Allen
    5. Derek Barnett
    6. Marshon Lattimore
    7. Jamal Adams
    8. Solomon Thomas
    9. OJ Howard
    10. Jabrill Peppers

Who would you add to or remove from this list?

Bah. Stop. You are either troll or really dumb.

Hurns is not FA, signed last year. If he was, how do you propose trade for FA would look like? Ozzie traded Jernigan to FA for Hurns?

Ryan Anderson is just a good ball player but I can't really find his value. Dudes really fundamentally sound and plays with a high motor but doesn't seem to truly excel anywhere, just solid across the board. I guess I would call him a late 2nd early 3rd kinda guy, if I had to give him a pro comp I think I'd say Markus golden, a lot of the same stuff we said about him in his draft is the same thing we're saying about Anderson

For me, Takk McKinley is better match to Golden but Anderson is early 2nd rounder in his own right.

zane gonzalez, to me, in terms of drafting, is a lesser roberto aguayo which is saying a lot

It has become too painful waiting on a turn and I didn't have a kicker.

Long waits between the picks have killed the game for me this year.

If we manage to do FFA, I'll spend my remaining stars, maybe take couple undrafted guys but this is pretty much it for me.
