They'll get a good DB this year and I think might move up to pick elite rusher or corner/safety. Next year FA will be just awesome and I think they won't be scared to spend. I see them as a legit contender in 2018, providing no setbacks/injuries on the offensive side.

They won't fix defense in one year but they are going to seriously load up in this draft.I wouldn't rule them out of moving very high up the board, using future picks, since it looks like they've found themselves franchise QB last year.

I just rechecked, Birk was also 33 in 2009. Mangold was pretty durable throughout his career, last season was the only one for him missing significant time. Don't know details about his injury, I know it's ankle but older people have come back after worse ones. It wouldn't hurt if we brought him in for at least physicals and talk.

I'm comfortable taking Stewart's versatility and play making ability early in the 2nd. As a WR 2 in Alabama run heavy offense and really, really raw QB last year, he has some serious production, too.

Maybe he can get healthy? It's the same stage Birk was in when he signed with the Ravens.
