  1. 3 years for 20 wouldn't be bad if he would agree to that. But I doubt it will happen the way this free agency is already going. Maybe he will give a discount if Jacoby gives him sweet pea's number.
  2. I am usually against signing older players but just Steve Smith is interesting.... He was still putting up 1000 yard seasons before last season. And the Carolina offense isn't flashy at all... I think he would be a good pick up in the slot if he stayed healthy. But it would be nice if the Ravens worked him out to just see how good of condition he is in. For the majority of his career he has been relatively healthy. I just do not want another Brandon Stokley 2013....
  3. Sign Daryl Smith right now. 3 year deal would sound about perfect for the veteran. Ozzie needs to get it done.
  4. Add TE to that list and I agree. Ravens only have one as of now. I think they need to draft one and pick one cheap off of the FA if possible or maybe put a few more pennies into a better tight end that knows how Kubiak runs his offense named Owen Daniels. Of course only if the price is right.
  5. Patriots have been for a long time and the Broncos will be until Manning leaves. But I wouldn't bet on them in the Superbowl because it usually is a team that they do not expect to win it all that ends up winning it all... Even the Seahawks were underdogs going into the Superbowl. Interesting to see how it all pans out this is only day three of free agency I wonder who the Ravens will add to their roster. Who knows maybe after all their moves they may look like a contender again. First step is to fix that offensive line.
  6. I am very afraid to be a fan of an AFC team when you hear the Patriots signed Revis and are talking to Browner right now... If they sign him also the Patriots defense won't be as bad as before... If the Patriots also find another offensive target besides Gronk I would be afraid of them..... Also Ihedigbo just signed with the Lions.
  7. He got around 500 yards two years ago when there was a decent O-line and better play calling than last season. For a third string wide receiver I would say that is pretty good. Considering every time he has the ball he has a huge potential for making plays. Of course not as big on the offensive side of things but he still does...
  8. As much as I would like Rolando to come back this season another report came out this morning saying he isn't ready to return to football and is still working on his degree which he should finish in the summer. But he has said even after then he is not sure if he is completely ready. But I agree that Daryl Smith needs to be signed.
  9. I am far from saying that Jacoby is going to be a starter again I agree that the Ravens will add a receiver. I am slowly kind of liking the Steve Smith idea depending on how much money he asks for. I also have been preaching for Daniels to join the Ravens. But the reason Jacoby didn't do too well last season was because of 1. injuries and 2. the offensive line like every other receiver.. I think the play action will serve him and the other Raven receivers very well. I also kind of hope the Ravens trade back a little bit and try to get Brandin Cooks and another pick later in the draft to also add to the receiving core. Since Tandon Doss left and I believe Deonte Thompson will be cut that the Ravens then in turn will add 2 receivers.
  10. Agreed and don't forget the offensive line. Most blitzed quarterback never had time to throw it deep where Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones thrive. If the Ravens line becomes solid, mark my words, I think Torrey Smith will become a top 5 in receiving yards.
  11. The guy loves Baltimore to take less money to stay and I agree. Assuming the player has to return a kick every game for a touchdown is wrong. I bet if you looked at the stats Jacoby Jones has probably the best average field position per return. He saves many games that the Ravens almost lose.
  12. You are just repeating what everyone on ESPN says... Fact is how many games has Jacoby came up with big plays and returns for us to win? Remember the Vikings game? He made one of the game winning touchdowns... Fact is Jacoby is more than just a returner. He is a returner first but also pretty good in the receiving. I wouldn't call him bad at it. He gives Flacco good field position to work with and a deep threat alongside Torrey Smith. Unfortunately the Ravens were not able to throw the deep ball last season because of the offensive line or you would've saw him more. I think Jacoby will be wide open on a bunch of play action passes this next season as long as the Ravens get the running game to start going. And this contract is really only a 2 year contract then all the guaranteed money is gone... I thought it wasn't a bad deal at all considering other teams were offering more.
  13. If this is true they better try to get him fast. This may be what we are looking for. Instead of another posession receiver the Ravens can draft him and have two big bodies (Pitta and Daniels) and then draft a slot receiver like Brandin Cooks. That is if the Ravens get who they want out of free agency for the offensive line.
  14. I agree that a slot receiver would be a nice addition since Marlon showed that he can use his height. But I disagree on the Edelman part. Receivers that leave the New England offense never seem to be as good as they were there. Some may disagree with Welker but I still think he looked and played better in New England. I think the Ravens are better off using the cap for an O-line so the Ravens aren't 2nd in most sacks given up in a season and then drafting Bradin Cooks or someone else like him in the draft.
  15. According to NFL.com, the Ravens and Eugene Monroe are 'very close' to getting a new deal done.
  16. I am hoping the Ravens hop on a safety early in free agency before all the play makers are gone. Elam was a great pick last year and I couldn't be happier with our first round talent, but he needs a complement, nevertheless.
  17. I also have thought this. I thought why don't they give Leach or even Juice the ball when it comes to goal line situations or even short yardage situations. They can run. Why not? I guess the coaches have their reasons but I really wish they would come out and explain why they don't use Leach, or even Juice for that matter like they could have that could have been potentially more successful in certain situations.
  18. I agree hopefully they bring in somebody that works well with the coaches we already have... For some reason I think that Montgomery and Castillo didn't get along which lead to one of them getting firing. I may be completely wrong but there is a reason that one of them got fired. We need to add to our football pool of knowledge not take something we already have out of it and try again and again. I wasn't very optimistic when Caldwell took over but it was enough to get the offense in gear for the 2013 Superbowl so good did come out of it.
  19. He's already the Vikings OC
