  1. Mosley 10 games into the season said to Harbaugh he was tired and asked when the season was going to end. Harbaugh told him to take it one day at a time. Put your best effort each day and only worry about today. Mosley was thrown into the fire as a rookie and he played the most snaps out of any inside linebacker last season. Breshad and Maxx need to take it one day at a time to improve and make sure they are in shape to take it that one day at a time because when you become a starter in the NFL it takes a toll on your body and you don't have any time to rest until Winter.
  2. If Ravens are ranked #4 during the beginning of the season... Think of what the team will look like play off time (of course if they get there) because that is when the team really turns it on... Flacco makes the offense look unstoppable in the play offs.
  3. Theyve been happy with Perriman... I agree they never gave a great fearful weapon for opposing defenses to be afraid of. They may now have that with Perriman. I love the range of different wide outs on the roster right now... So many players that are good at different things... Just thinking of seeing 3 speedy slot guys out there or 3 6'2 or taller guys out there at the same time makes me wonder how opposing defenses will stop the Ravens next year.
  4. I hope you are not referring to the interception in the end zone on a very catchable ball to Torrey Smith.. The one Torrey Smith gave up on as soon as the ball left Joe's hands... The one where Smith pushed the defensive back instead of going up for the ball..
  5. He would have exceeded 4000 yards easily if it weren't for so many drops last season it was rediculous... I think Trestman gets the receivers open more. All receivers are a year older and in the system another year. I wouldn't be surprised if they limit the drops and get 4500 yards in the air. Honestly easily a 4200 yard year for Flacco without most the drops. Forsett won't be a 1200 yard rusher this season but I think more yards come in the air and the ball in the backfield is spread around more. Forsett still averages 5-6 yards a carry and tops 1000 yards.
  6. Perfect crime from the start. Joe Flacco works his butt off to become a great NFL quarterback while in the process he is really trying to accomplish his real plan... To steal credit cards to buy chicken nuggets at McDonalds... Follow the crumbs... You know what you'll find...
  7. Patriots do it too.. Except it is hard to include them after now they are being investigated for illegal use of drones along with he Cowboys and Giants (or Jets I can't remember off hand). Building the team through the draft like a lot of these teams do makes the best all around teams and that puts teams in a better position to win it all... I would rather have our 12th ranked offense and 8th ranked defense of last year than be a team like the Steelers with the #2 offense and #18 defense. It gets you farther at the end of the season... Baltimore has shown that consistently. Never flashy but the best all around team wins it all every year for the most part because throughout the playoffs they will play different types of teams, run or throw heavy, and when they can stop both for the majority it gets you far. Baltimore was 1 injured corner away, 1 referee call away, or 1 receiver to try to catch a ball in the endzone instead of just pushing the defensive back (Torrey Smith) away from another Super Bowl appearance. This is why teams like the Indianapolis Colts will not win the Super Bowl ever until they realize that if they have the #3 offense they shouldn't go out and get Andre Johnson and Frank Gore with all their cap and actually upgrade their defense which was what was holding them back the last 2 seasons.
  8. I don't think the Ravens were overlooked even last year. Coaches and teams always respect the Ravens.. In a lot of interviews even at the beginning of the season players talked about teams that were threatening their AFC conference title and they list Baltimore frequently... I think it is just the fans that overlook them because the Ravens only solid players to draft for Fantasy Football last season was Justin Forsett and Steve Smith, while other teams produced more like the Steelers with Bell being the 2nd best running back, Rothlesberger being a top 5 quarterback, and Antonio Brown being the best receiver. Guess who won that game in the playoffs? Ravens by a large margin. It's fans overlooking the Ravens, I bet Tomlin has nightmares of playing Baltimore next season with Baltimore now not having 19 people inactive or on the IR.
  9. He had to.. I mean I'm pretty sure the Ravens had at least seven injuries to cornerbacks last season if not more just counting off of the top of my head.... And Elam being the nickel corner didn't even last long because he lost the job to Levine. Would be great if he could finally get his act together and the Ravens could have a solid rotation at safety to keep them fresh. Or they can freak opposing defenses out by doing the 3 safety packages New Orleans did a couple years ago when they were a top 5 defense. I mean Will Hill and Kendrick Lewis are both good at tackling and in coverage, if Matt can do the same just think about it... They wouldn't know who we would be sending down in the box and in coverage. Would also help with getting pressure to the quarterback.
  10. I agree and I would go to say that as of now on paper Denver and Baltimore look like the two best teams in the AFC. This will probably show who has the edge in the conference even though it is early. But if a team wins by double digits you know there will be a stout leader in the AFC.
  11. He's top 5 when he wants to be. Sometimes he has a look in his eye during a game or two in the season where it doesn't look like he cares nearly as much as other times. But I still don't understand how they think Big Ben is a top 5 quarterback now... Just because he had the best receiver in the league last season and the best all purpose running back last season does not make him a great quarterback... Defense got him his rings... Flacco backpacked Baltimore to their ring and almost did it again last season. How is Newton ahead of Flacco and how is Ryan? I still don't understand why people think this... You take away his pro bowl running back last season and he still had his best statistical year so far. Now the Ravens actually gave him weapons. Wouldn't be surprised if he broke out this season and eclipsed 4,500 yards.
  12. I agree I think it is actually because the Ravens went after offense in this draft to give Flacco some targets. I bet we see flashes of Perriman all season long. Excited that offensive players finally fell down their board in the draft. The defensive depth is pretty great outside of linebacker.
  13. During the season it was 4th which is great but don't say that our rush defense was great when New England literally ran the ball 4 times the entire 60 minutes we played them. False advertisement. Honestly we still don't know how the rushing defense will be without Ngata. I hope Jernigan steps up and doesn't have a sophomore slump.
  14. The Ravens front seven did nothing to stop any run game in the play offs. Both the Steelers and Patriots knew how bad the secondary was and threw against the Ravens defense a total of 95 times. That's an average of 47.5 passes a game. The Patriots I don't think ran a running play since the beginning of the second quarter. Saying the defense held any run attack is false because there was none because they exploited the weakness and attacked against it over and over again.
  15. I would agree with you because we have unproven targets, but from what I heard, they like the talent they see and it sounds like they will be having a hard time deciding which 6-7 will stay on the roster. Same with tight ends with the 4. I think defensive line or linebacker would be the best place for the money to go with Suggs feeling older, Dumervil being a one trick pony there is no one behind them on the depth chart outside of Upshaw who they claim is only good at stopping the run. If one were to go out who would fill those shoes? Also inside linebacker because of CJ Mosely coming off of a surgery and Daryl Smith starting to age they need to find someone to play behind them.
  16. I hope he stays healthier than his previous couple seasons. The Ravens defense needs a couple veteran presences... Great player who has had a great career. Keep it up.
  17. I'd give them Bell and the other 2-3 players they had on IR going into that game if they gave us back all 19 players we had on IR at the end of the season.
  18. Tweaked hamstring in practice it was announced yesterday... Boyle took the rest of his snaps. Doesn't sound good at all. It puts him a step back behind the rest of the offense.
  19. I agree they lost several play makers like Polamalu, Taylor,Keisel, Worilds... Honeslty I think they are going to be fighting to be a top 25 defense this year. Their offense is top notch no doubt they have amazing play makers in Bell and Brown but if you stop one of those two guys and keep their offense one dimensional they will stall and probably lose the game as long as your offense puts up a couple scores and your defense isn't worse than theirs. Even with Brown running loose all the time in the play off game the Ravens still killed the Steelers with the lack of Bell which I don't think would have made much of an outcome to that game considering how great Baltimore's run defense was all year long.
  20. He also only had around 750 yards last season... Point is he was an okay #2 but not even close to a #1 receiver. I think that Torrey Smith's touchdown stat was just luck of being in the right place at the right time last season because of Kubiak's play calling... 50 receptions for how much playing time he saw wasn't too great to be completely honest and he only really had that many yards and touchdowns this season because Steve Smith Sr. was doubled covered pretty much every game after that first Bengals game.
  21. Maxx Williams already injured concernes me. At least with the offensive line injuries we have Hurst and Urschel getting 1st team reps while Zuttah and Wagner rest. But the Ravens already have a lot of inexperienced play makers and the injuries to both Campanaro and Williams hurts the team because then the team will not be able to see what everyone can do and will have to make tough decisions come time of preseason. With the Ravens inexperienced offense they need to find those players who will step up and play at a young age and still come up with big plays against veteran cornerbacks. On paper this team looks better than last year but the inexperience at the skill positions on offense, along with Suggs and Dumervil one year older with no clear back up pass rusher concerns me. This year it may be the secondary pulling the weight of the front 7 and if that is the case the Ravens may get ran right over and that is frightening with Bell and Hill in the division.
  22. I don't think it will reach 5th just because of the new pieces.. I do agree they have a chance to improve on the 12/13th ranked offense from last year but I think top 10 would be a good goal. It's very hard to sneak into the top 5 offenses of the NFL because Flacco would be competing against players like Rodgers, Manning, Brees, etc. who have had their pieces set in place for quite a few years now and they run a more aggressive offense than the Ravens do. Honestly as long as they hang out around where they did last year or a little improvement, plus around a 10th ranked defense will get them deep into the play offs. Ravens, Patriots, and Seahawks were the most complete teams last year, and I see the Patriots dropping off losing their 3 starting cornerbacks. And in 2013 the Ravens proved that the most complete team wins Super Bowls and it doesn't have to be a top offense or top defense to win. They don't need anything flashy, just 10-11 wins and consistency in moving the chains for the young defense to get off the field and I will be happy.
  23. Well what we've learned is Schuab made Elam look good yesterday... Schuab everyday seems to have a pick six in practice... I guess if something were to happen to Flacco I guess it's nice knowing the back up on the team will help us become 1st... 1st pick in the draft that is...
  24. I'm excited they are giving Breshad some reps with the first team instead of having him just climb up the depth chart if he does well enough with the second team. He has a skill set not many receivers have with his height 6'2 and speed of 4.2 40 yard dash time. Some have compared him to Dez Bryant and I can see it. And even today Bryant still looks like he runs awkwardly on some routes but he gets the job done. I'm excited to see Breshad play and see what he can do.
