  1. I think he meant Canty in his prime before he was a Raven
  2. People seem to forget why the team last year didn't make the playoffs. It is because of Jimmy Smith not being available near the end. Think of how different the Giants and Steelers games alone would've changed with him out there. Now there is another healthy big explosive corner if Jimmy goes down and the secondary has added so many pieces to its already strong secondary and added new blood at linebacker and edge. The Ravens defense is looking to be elite next season.
  3. The Ravens went 8-8 because Jimmy Smith went down. They just got Jimmy Smith insurance and two pass rushers. The Ravens likely would have been in the playoffs if Jimmy Smith wasn't injured.
  4. I mean how many did the team have last year? And to be honest I'm already seeing a huge drop off in talent.
  5. I'm excited about this draft. I already thought the defense was top 5 it may be a top 3 defense at least on paper before the season. Unfortunately it will come at the cost of the offense still missing some pieces, but it is probably better having a top 3 defense and a 20th ranked offense than middle of the pack elsewhere. There is still plenty of time to find an offensive lineman, but I think the front office will be going with Perriman, Wallace, and Moore into next season and that scares me.
  6. Terrible quarterback lmao
  7. Nope CJ Beathard
  8. I really like Zay because he isn't asslow as Juju and he has the best hands in the draft. He may not break tackles but he consistently finds holes in the defense. between 1-20 yards. Won't get much YAC but he is so good with his creative routes.
  9. No need to be so hostile bro. He is a good blocker and a fantastic route runner. OL is easier to address in free agency. You can get solid veterans for cheap. WR you won't find a decent one in FA. This team has several needs. You can't deny this team needs a wide receiver.
  10. Is that 9 picks you got correct going to certain teams? I mean Corey Davis went at 5 instead of 18 and some trades were unpredictable but dang you're the next GM man.
  11. You got a lot of picks right. Nice dude!
  12. Such a good player and underrated. Ravens need a route runner in the middle. He would be that guy to pick up those first downs.
  13. Not a flashy pick, but a smart pick for sure.
  14. @JoeyFlex5 you also have to take into account how bad the secondary was when Jimmy Smith was drafted. I think Jimmy Smith had big shoes to fill. When you look at Marlon Humphrey who do you have behind him? Eric Weddle, Tony Jefferson, or Lardarius Webb. The Ravens don't need an elite guy on the outside day one, they need someone better than Shareece Wright and also someone who has the intangibles and size to fill in for Jimmy Smith when he goes down because the team was hurt by that last season. Not my favorite pick for the Ravens to take there but I actually really like the upside. I know it wasn't a position of need but I like adding to the deepest secondary in the league.
  15. Humphrey is also one of the better zone corners in this draft if not the best. Lattimore was definitely better at mirroring opposing wide receivers to play man coverage, but I actually think Humphrey succeeds early with the talent this team has on the back end. If you keep everything in front of him he is incredible. But he has let some players run by in man coverage and he needs to work on footwork and turning his head but his closing speed is something fierce.
  16. But you have to look long term. Carr is older and you are getting a solid cb at best. Humphrey has the ceiling to become Jimmy Smith (Actually his NFL comparison). 4.4 speed and he is the best run defending cornerback in this draft as well as one of the best if not the best zone corner in this draft. He definitely needs to work on his man to man and footwork but he has all the tools to become a #1 cornerback in this league. And you pair him on the outside with Jimmy Smith who is top 5 if not top 3 when healthy, that is a dangerous combination. He will likely not be an instant starter like a lot of people want, but long term it was a good move. The Ravens now probably have the best secondary in the league and one of the deepest secondaries in the league.
  17. Why? You won't find a better corner in FA. OL can be found in FA. I am excited about the pick. This gives the Ravens two tall corners on the outside to keep Young on the inside where he fits best, and then have a solid 4th corner in Carr.
  18. I would be aiming for Lawson, Bowser, Zay Jones, or Juju-Schuster.
  19. He's a second round pick, Ozzie time has passed In several mocks he was 11th to Saints and not pass the 1st round. Never was that high ever we passed on Allen Howard and foster. A reaction to what bengals have done and Bryant coming back. It that a Bad thing? Say they Take Howard. What do they target in the 2nd round? A lesser CB, what's left of Pass rusher or WR. O-line. I agree, not a sexy pick. But the Ravens defense falls off a cliff when J Smith gets hurt, which is often. They reached for a need. We signed Jefferson and Carr no need to reach, we didn't take best avalible. Ozzie your time has passed. Yeah because Jefferson is definitely a corner and Carr is a #1 cornerback in his prime smh
  20. One last mock before this place no longer exists! 1. Cleveland Browns – Myles Garrett DE Texas A&M I almost pray they mess this up and go quarterback. 2. San Francisco 49ers – Jamaal Adams S LSU Most NFL ready and most polished player in the draft with sky-high ceiling. 3. Chicago Bears – Malik Hooker S Ohio State Bears add the most ball-hawking safety to come out in years. 4. Jacksonville Jaguars – Leonard Fournette RB LSU I don’t like a running back this high in the draft. But defense is pretty solid with young players. Biggest weaknesses are RB and O-line. I do not see them addressing QB this draft and give Bortles one last shot. 5. Tennessee Titans – Johnathan Allen DT/DE Alabama Titans need to figure out a way to slow down opposing offenses to control games with their strong offensive running attack. They start in the trenches. 6. New York Jets – Mitchell Trubisky QB UNC First quarterback off the board. Quarterback will likely fail with no supporting cast. 7. Los Angeles Chargers – Deshaun Watson QB Clemson Chargers are in a good spot to trade back. If they don’t I think the best value would to begin the search for Rivers’ successor. 8. Carolina Panthers – Reuben Foster LB Alabama AJ Klein is gone. Thomas Davis is 34 years old. Panthers’ defense relies on their linebackers and why not get the best in the draft. 9. Cincinnati Bengals – Solomon Thomas DE Stanford I don’t see what everyone else sees in Thomas. I know he has a high ceiling but I think he drops and maybe even further. I could see the Bengals hoping on the talent to add to their front seven. 10. Buffalo Bills – Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio State The Buffalo Bills finally catch a break in their franchise history and land the most talented prospect at cornerback, which ends up being their biggest need. 11. New Orleans Saints – Derek Barnett DE Tennessee Any help to their defense would be fantastic. Barnett would be a consistent presence on the edge who is solid in both the run game and at getting to the passer. 12. Cleveland Browns – OJ Howard TE Alabama This offense is loaded for whenever they can find that quarterback of the future. 13. Arizona Cardinals – Mike Williams WR Clemson I don’t see Kiser or Mahomes being draftable at #13. Would be a reach, I think they try to replace their 14. Philadelphia Eagles – Marlon Humphery CB Alabama Eagles need all the secondary help they can get. McCaffery would also be good here. 15. Indianapolis Colts – Christian McCaffery RB Stanford Many don’t see him down this far but I can see him fall. Possibly the team that promised they would draft him. 16. Baltimore Ravens – Hasaan Reddick LB Temple Suggs is ancient. Nobody on defense has better film. Added burst on the edge that was lost when Dumervil left. Can slide in at WILL linebacker instead. Most versatile player in the draft. 17. Washington Redskins – Cam Robinson OT Alabama 6’6 behemoth who likely projects better at guard. 18. Tennessee Titans – Corey Davis WR Western Michigan Loss of Kendall Wright will impact their run first offense with no other speed threat on offense. Davis adds that home run threat. 19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Tre’Davious White CB LSU Team needs secondary help. Conley was initial pick here but with off-the-field issues being investigated, it may take a slightly lower-graded corner. 20. Denver Broncos - Ryan Ramczyk OT Wisconsin Almost as difficult to type as Kyle Juszczyk. They need to upgrade that o-line for their team to go anywhere. 21. Detroit Lions – Jarrad Davis ILB/OLB Florida Defense underperformed in 2016. 22. Miami Dolphins – Malik McDowell DT/DE MSU No one saw this coming. Dolphins add a top 5 physically talented player to go anywhere on their defensive line. 23. New York Giants – Garret Boles OT Utah The only way the Giants will ever be able to make a playoff run will be keeping Eli Manning on his feet. 24. Oakland Raiders – Adoree Jackson CB USC Raiders need cornerback help. This adds a big time playmaker both as a corner and as a returner. 25. Houston Texans – Patrick Mahomes QB Texas Tech I don’t want this to be a thing. But they seem dead set on getting a quarterback. 26. Seattle Seahawks – Forest Lamp Western Kentucky Seattle needs that interior push for their run game to become dominant again. 27. Kansas City Chiefs – Dalvin Cook RB Florida State With no off the field issues, Cook would be likely a top 10 pick. Chiefs have had inconsistent performances the past couple years. This will fix that. 28. Dallas Cowboys – Obi Melifonwu S UConn Dallas adds another physical freak to attempt to band-aid their secondary. 29. Green Bay Packers – Buddha Baker S Washington Versatility at safety and cornerback will give the team what they lost when Micah Hyde left. 30. Pittsburgh Steelers – Jordan Willis OLB KSU This team needs edge guys to step up. Good bend needs to improve against the run. 31. Atlanta Falcons – Derek Rivers DE Youngstown State Injected more talent into an already talented defense. 32. New Orleans Saints – Sidney Jones CB Washington Top 15 pick, if not higher, if not for his pro day injury. On pace to be ready in September. Saints are in no position to have to rush this guy back and adds talent they wouldn’t have normally have been able to land. Hopefully I didn't forget anybody important.
  21. Yes haha. Probably makes your job as Moderators easier as well so you only have to monitor one place instead of 35.
  22. You're almost forgiven for shutting down the forums.
  23. And I agree he is undersized and struggles against bigger guys, if he is going to play edge then he definitely needs to bulk up. If he stays inside at WILL then I think he would be fine where he is now. You're getting my hopes up just to have my heart break tonight
  24. I don't agree with everything this guy says but I do think he is quite funny. I think if you watch Reddick's film you will see otherwise.
  25. That is actually pretty funny haha
