  1. Looking at age... I almost would rather have Garcon at this point than Marshall. I would be happy with either but those couple years difference may catch up to Marshall before Garcon. Plus Garcon is probably a cheaper option.. I really think the Ravens need a new WR coach. They never seem to be developed. Perriman needs a huge role next year.
  2. He broke his neck his junior year but ultimately I'm sure he was cleared or he wouldn't of played the following season (which was this last season). I was scared off a bit by his neck issue a bit ago but I don't think there is anything to fear there now.
  3. I just think Wallace proved more this last year in this system. So many drag routes taken for 40 or 50 yards because of his open field speed. I just have never really seen that from Torrey Smith. I think both receivers have a good amount left in the tank... I'm surprised more people aren't talking about Desean Jackson at this point. Yes there is the age but I see more playmaking ability out of him than Smith.
  4. Yeah I totally agree here. Both Flacco and Jones played lights out... But in that scenario you give it to the guy who has been more consistent throughout the entire playoffs and the player you think will be with your franchise longer and the more valuable player.
  5. Doesn't the team already have that in McClellan though? I mean sure I guess if he is a good special teamer but I just haven't been impressed. A buddy of mine (Seahawks fan) is huge on Boulware. I just personally don't see it.
  6. He just looks way too slow to me...He has the stats but dang he does not jump off tape at all.
  7. While you could argue Jacoby Jones as MVP.... I don't see a case for Boldin really. But you are going to give the award to your quarterback when he had 11 touchdowns and no interceptions in the playoff run. He effectively spread the ball around to everyone.
  8. I would hire him for a coaching position just to get his pep talks on Sundays....
  9. I really don't think Torrey Smith will be much cheaper than Mike Wallace..... I also think Brandon Marshall would be more expensive than Pierre Garcon....
  10. You definitely haven't seen any Ravens or Patriots games in the past 12 years then.....
  11. The Bengals game was worthless. It was better for the Ravens to go up a few spots for the draft. I was advocating for them to lose. I think it would've been a lot different if the Ravens held Antonio Brown out of the endzone. Whether or not they would've went far in the playoffs is unseen. But I do think they would've been better than the Steelers.... Steelers are not built to last in the playoffs and their offense is not nearly as good as it should be when having a top 3 receiver and probably the best running back in the league.
  12. I mean you can make an argument... But that 49ers offense was rolling just as much as the Patriots was in the playoffs. I think the difference was us having a veteran defense. The Falcons defense has talent up the wazoo but they are so young and you could tell the aggressiveness fell off the cliff in the second half.
  13. I don't think it is because of him. I think it is just because of the Corey Davis hype that is now there. People are still kind of iffy that he is from a small school, but the last few weeks I think analysts have been putting more stock into his physical traits. I would like either on this team at 16. I am an advocate to get Flacco weapons. Seeing how Julio bailed out Ryan a few times in the Super Bowl is a reminder of what this team hasn't had.
  14. Anybody else noticing the rise of Corey Davis and the fall of Mike Williams in recent mock drafts? Makes me excited to possibly have Mike Williams potentially falling.
  15. Or you know.... The linebacker core of Suggs and Dumervil are ancient.. And you lost a all-pro Zachary Orr that you have to replace.
  16. We definitely wouldn't of seen a second super bowl. Flacco put the team on his shoulders, Ray Rice's talent probably would've never been found at the RB position, and only he could make the 4th and 27 play to save the season, and Paul Kruger broke out that year with injuries.
  17. Can't he just help out for home games?
  18. I think corner would be a pretty safe spot to go in this draft with the depth, but the reason the team won the super bowl in 2013 was because of the offense. To me they need to get that offense going first. The defense showed that it cannot protect leads even when in the top 10 in the league. I just feel like the defensive scheme fails in the 4th quarter.
  19. Probably not the only thing with these traits.
  20. Keeping Mark Trestman.
  21. I agree he has only like 5 days of the offseason under his belt in Baltimore. Think of an entire offseason. He was making big plays almost every game as a #3. Definitely someone to watch this coming year.
  22. While I like the picks I don't think Kupp falls out of the 3rd or possibly even out of the 2nd round after his senior bowl hype. With how shallow the wide receiver position is in this draft, I think he is a 2nd round talent. I do like the value of Bowser at round 3 though.
  23. That motivation only really inspired the offense though. The defense was a liability in the playoffs. Not only Ray, but the entire defense. Most fans think their team can make the playoffs someway somehow. And the Ravens were 5 inches away from playing in a must win in Cincinnati to be in the playoffs. I wouldn't even count that Bengals game because after that heartbreaker to Pittsburgh most fans would rather have the higher draft pick. Jim Harbaugh went to Michigan because he got paid the same he did in San Francisco. He easily could've been a head coach again in the NFL. While I think most people would agree Mike Tomlin isn't a top 5 coach, I actually think the Steelers have underperformed the last few years for the talent they have. Whether or not that is Mike Tomlin's fault I wouldn't know. But John Harbaugh is getting the most out of his players. The Ravens were 4-2 and easily could've been 6-0 in the division if the ball bounced their way or Jimmy Smith were healthy. John Harbaugh has outcoached every team in the AFC North especially this year. The Bengals and Steelers easily have more playmakers on their team than the Ravens do. I was one who thought the Ravens would do better offensively. Between Trestman's system and the fact Flacco's starting weapons were 1) Steve Smith coming off of an achilles injury at the age of 37. 2) Newly signed Mike Wallace. 3) Breshad Perriman who missed entire rookie season and offseason with injuries. 4) Dennis Pitta who has been out of football 2 years with hip surgeries. 5) Terrance West and Kenneth Dixon both are young but have yet to prove they are even close to superstars yet. The chemistry was not there and that is why they held the team back the first 10 or so weeks but near the end it was the defense that was holding the team back. Going into the season you could see the talent on paper but going through each player's situation you can easily understand why the team underperformed. For this team going forward I think it was a great thing they are keeping Mornhinweg at OC. Continuity is what the team needs after having 5 OC's in 5 years. Flacco already acts like he likes Marty more than Mark.
  24. You are setting the bar quite high.... Deion Sanders is considered a top 5 defender ever to play the game. Fact is Jimmy Smith is probably a top 5 corner when healthy. He rarely gets beat and I can't recall hime ever really having a penalty against him. I get it when you say when you aren't on the field you aren't helping the team but he isn't really commanding too much money compared to other top corners in the league. And when your defense goes from 1st to 27th in the league when he isn't out there you know why. You don't get rid of a player of that caliber no matter how much they cost. Even if he only plays 12 games a season, he is the most sure thing on the field on Sundays. There is nobody out there nearly his caliber on the market. And while Jimmy has had some 'nagging' issues he has played through most. The ones he has sat out have mostly been from bad luck and from his surgery. You don't get rid of a player that caliber to make your team better. You add depth behind him just in case he is unable to go out there for whatever reason. There's a reason that most playoff teams are the teams who #1 are healthy relative to the rest of the NFL and #2 have the depth behind those players to step up.
  25. I really don't know why people like Barnett I really think he is going to fall. I would rather have a bunch of other guys than him. He has the stats but he doesn't jump off tape for me. But I am a huge Charles Harris supporter so what do I know.
