  1. I think Watson and Pitta are gone. Watson is almost a sure cut. Pitta on the other hand this could just be a rumor for Pitta to renegotiate. Wouldn't be surprised if the Ravens went tight end in the first couple rounds this year. Williams, Boyle, Gilmore, and Waller all have potential but yet have reached it. Wouldn't be surprised if OJ Howard was high on our board. The team needs playmakers to step up. I think Gillmore needs to produce this offseason or he is gone. Boyle needs to prove he can play without performance enhancements. Williams needs to build off of his rookie season. Waller is a wild card with so much upside and he shined last season when used I hope he takes a step forward.
  2. Well I don't have anything against smaller corners except for the fact they struggle against those big time named receivers. Tavon Young played phenomenal but his most poor games were against Dez Bryant and Odell Beckham and while he was in good position to make plays he was too small and got overpowered. If you go out and spend some money on another corner I have no issue of Elder or Kazee I think they are some pretty solid cornerbacks. But I hate relying on a secondary Webb (5'11), Weddle (5'11), Young (5'9), and Wright if he is still here (5'11). I think the team's secondary was actually in good position most of the season to make plays but a lot of what hurt the team was when Jimmy Smith went down then the little guys got beat. I really hope our safety tandem next season is Webb and Weddle because of the success they had, just bring in Webb at lower price. The team needs another big corner in my opinion. I like Logan Ryan but he is also south of six feet tall at 5'11. I think he would be a solid addition to replace Shareece Wright with depending on the price but I'm afraid his strong playoff run may drive up his contract elsewhere. Right now I am crossing my fingers Canaday breaks out next season. Coaches seemed to love him and I feel like he had a lot to learn but they seemed to really like him and was probably the most hated draft pick right after the draft. Another fear of mine is going along with cornerbacks being in good positions to make plays last season, I hope that doesn't walk out the door with Leslie Frazier walking out the door. I would almost be okay with the Ravens chasing someone like Bouye or Gilmore. I know they will be too expensive especially with too many other holes to fill. But I would almost be okay with the Ravens cutting Dumervil and Webb and bringing back Webb at a smaller contract to go after Bouye and Gilmore and let both Wagner and Williams walk. I feel confident in the Ravens filling the Williams role. I also think the Ravens can replace Wagner on the O-line by shifting Lewis over and bringing in a cheap veteran guard. Of course this is a dream and most cornerbacks will get paid a lot more than I will expect. But I do think that was the team's achilles heel. Jimmy Smith played like a DPOY and when he went down the season was over.
  3. I agree 100% I think Darreus Rodgers will become a better player than JuJu
  4. I like Howard and Eiflein. I'm not huge on the Elder pick and here is why. In my eyes the secondary struggles because everybody out there is a midget outside of Jimmy Smith. When Jimmy Smith goes down nobody in our secondary is above 6 feet tall to defend a Dez Bryant or a Odell Beckham. And that hurts when the team is playing in the same division as AJ Green. I think he will be a good player somewhere but I just hope it is not here. Tavon Young is already that guy the team will likely have to restrictly use in the slot. The team needs height out there. In this scenario I could see the team cutting Dumervil and trading for Connor Barwin with a late pick to upgrade the pass rush and make it a little younger. But I still think the defense needs to get taller.
  5. I agree both positions need to be upgraded. I would be ecstatic taking Cook at 16 but I don't see any o-linemen worth it at that spot. I wouldn't be surprised actually if the Ravens found a center or guard in round 4 or 5 like they always do that ends up being pretty solid. I really think they hand the keys to Alex Lewis at RT and try to find a replacement at LG or C. While I usually don't like the idea of taking a RB in the first round.... Cook does look like he has it all. I really do think if the team were to take one at 16 it would be him. I agree the main focus is controlling the clock. The offense couldn't sustain long drives last season. If it could have the Ravens would've won 4 or 5 more games. That defense played at an allstar level all year and were on the field way longer than they should have.
  6. He ran into his offensive linemen more often than he ran where he was supposed to.
  7. My thought process with Yanda is he has probably been the most dominate lineman since 2007 when drafted at RG. In my mind you leave him at RG unless another injury limits him to playing LG again.
  8. Rotowire* awkward I quoted the wrong website at first lol http://www.rotowire.com/football/player.htm?id=10069 I just googled Breshad Perriman snaps 2016 lol
  9. 484 via rotoworld.
  10. Funny how injuries work that way
  11. I actually disagree here. I do think the Ravens need to replace Wagner and possibly Zuttah but I think the line will get better just from Lewis and Stanley getting older and understanding the game better. It was middle of the pack last season, but from how many times Flacco dumps it off from receivers failing to find separation down the field I think it might be a good pick if Cook is there. I usually am the one advocating to upgrade the o-line but I don't see many great talented o-linemen this draft. Cook has been really explosive the Ravens are needing that checkdown guy. Dixon is still young and it would be fantastic if he worked out. But I do think that part of the offense has been missing since the Ray Rice incident.
  12. I think Michael Thomas already looks like a more complete wide receiver than Torrey Smith. It is really early to say but he is going to be fantastic at moving the chains for New Orleans for at least another 3 years.
  13. I always have that hope going into each season that the depth and talent will be there. Players need to take huge steps. I think the Ravens need to bring in a veteran Britt, Garcon, and Marshall are all possibilities. But I agree Perriman needs to get involved. But I also think the Ravens need to find a decent #4 guy just in case of injury. I think the big thing this offense needs is a complete back, whether that is Dixon is yet to be seen. Then I think the team needs to cut Watson and Pitta (two players I've liked in the past) because of cap and injuries and find a tight end via draft early. I really like Engram and Howard to be next to Maxx Williams who I think will step up in year three. He showed some sparks in his rookie season here and there and he was injured too much this last season. Hoping our tight ends are dynamic and that the Ravens resign Juice.
  14. I actually think that Engram would be fantastic especially since Maxx Williams is one of the best blocking tight ends in the league and I'm hoping he breaks out in the reception department. Would be a deadly duo. Also Engram may be there in the 3rd round depending on where the other tight ends stack this draft.
  15. That and Ingram had a solid year... 5 yards a carry at the running back position.
  16. You could argue Aiken saw increased snaps because of easing Steve Smith back into the line up. He is the main back up for a posession receiver. Then Steve Smith got injured again after finally almost being 100% healthy. If everybody was healthy I think Perriman would've saw more snaps than Aiken.
  17. But like I said before... Garropolo is a one year rental at this point. You aren't 100% sure he will resign. Also while Garropolo has had success it has been in limited games when even Brissett has looked fantastic in as well. You have to wonder if it is actually the player or the system. The Texans made a huge mistake last year with Osweiler in limited action. If the Browns are smart they keep trading back. They had a solid draft last year and if they continue to trade back and stockpile picks a franchise quarterback will come along. It wouldn't be smart for them to go for Garropolo in my opinion.
  18. Aiken was the #4 last season. If the Ravens bring in a veteran Wallace at worst would be a #3. Plus I think the depth is huge. Unless two guys are brought in I think they hold onto Wallace. I think his drag routes he took for 50 yards on a consistent basis has been overlooked.
  19. I'm thinking the exact same thing. Especially when the team uses almost just as much 4-3 as they do 3-4 they need linebackers who can stay on the field. If not the team might as well just change to a 4-3. I do think a lot of why the defense was successful last season was the simplified version of organized chaos. The Ravens need to find a solid linebacker in coverage to compliment Mosley so the defense can continue its success from last year.
  20. While I agree he is underutilized I wouldn't categorize him with the best tight ends in the league. He has had over 100 targets the last two seasons and all he does is makes big yards after contact and gets first downs when really needed. They need to split him out wide more and use him more as a receiver in the slot or something to get match ups they want.
  21. I have warmed up to the idea of drafting a tight end with a high draft pick. One of Howard, Njoku, or Engram will likely fall to the team's second round pick. After hearing about utilizing tight ends more (like I guess we do every year) I think the Ravens would like getting younger and more athletic at th position. Maxx Williams showed glimpses his rookie season and was unfortunately out most last season. I think cutting Pitta and Watson would be beneficial if the team drafted one of these guys. I think Maxx can grow with any of these guys and hopefully create mismatches in the middle of the field.
  22. I wouldn't be upset with the pick but I also wouldn't be thrilled. I don't know why but I don't like his film.
  23. Exactly and I'm sure Desean Jackson back a few years ago would make a couple more flash plays throughout the season than Wallace but Wallace in my mind is still a lot better than Torrey Smith and Torrey Smith will likely get a more expensive contract. I'm all in for bringing in other guys but people don't have the right to attack Flacco for playing poorly. People always complain he needs to spend more time in the offseason with his receivers even when there are reports he has been. The issue is you cannot get 100% on the same page in one season. I actually think the Flacco to Wallace connection this year is better than a lot of people that first come to Baltimore. I really do think the key to last year was finally getting a groove with Marty's playcalling along with players finally getting chemistry with Joe. Pitta basically didn't play for 2 years. Perriman's first season with no offseasons last two years. Steve Smith off of a torn achilles who missed a majority of the offseason. And Wallace who was brand new brought in. I think it is best for the Ravens to go elsewhere at tight end with Pitta's age and injury history.
  24. No Ravens offense will ever be in the top 3.... Not for a long time. And I don't think that would change bringing in two new wide receivers. I'm all down with bringing one of them in. But that won't change the real issue with the offense. Why did the Ravens offense break out in the 2013 playoffs? Boldin, Smith, Jones, Rice were with the team for how long before they actually got a ring? The Ravens need to stop the carousel of receivers. I really don't think Wright or Britt is much of an upgrade over Wallace.
