I said the same thing about Boldin and I like to think I was right about that, but I think we have too many holes to fill to throw all of our cap space at Williams. Plus we have a promising backup for that position so there might be that much drop off if he walks. promising backup? pierce? hahahahah come on .. don't kid yourself.. davis/urban/henry/pierce... none of them are a quarter of what Brandon is i have to agree with you. pierce as a 3 down player over a full season is a big ??? and jernigans dominant start to the season fizzled as the season wore on. williams is the real deal but we cannot break the cap space on him. hopefully he can be retained without keeping us from filling other holes yeah but Williams isn't a 3 down player either.
