  1. I didn't get to watch all of RAW last night (and what I was able to watch, was muted because I was on the phone), but it looked like a pretty good episode. I also read that, despite the tease last night during one of the anonymous GM's announcements, the GM is NOT Stone Cold Steve Austin. Reports still point to Abraham Washington, but I'm still expecting him to be a big name OR Michael Cole; they can give Abraham Washington the role after the big name steps down.

Oh gosh no, please no. He was not entertaining when he was on ECW, nobody cared for him or his show, so why does WWE think we will care for him if he has power on Raw? I won't, I'd much rather see Mike Adamle come back and get the job again, or like you said Michael Cole.

Now see it wouldn't surprise me to see them keep dropping hints toward legends teasing the crowd on who it could be, like next week, if Nexus is talking, and Barrett demands a title match or something and he gets interrupted by the email and it says, "You really think you deserve a title shot?" and before Barrett can answer another email comes in an says "It Doesn't Matter What You Think!" hinting at the possibility of The Rock being the GM, they will probably hint toward different people until they are ready to reveal who it is.

Now I wanna say this, last time there was a new GM, reports led to Washington being the GM, and Bret Hart was named the GM. Now could WWE being leaking Washington's name out there to throw the internet spoiler sites off so it makes them think they have the upper hand but in reality the WWE knows who really is the GM.

  2. I did that when RVD won the title and I hadn't tuned in for a while so when they said RVD had won a title match the night before I was like okay....but why is the match tonight? And furthermore, why the hell did he win?

I don't know why Angle is wasting his time with them, since late 2008/early 2009 they've been on a slope of failure. They need to stop bringing old WCW/WWE/ECW has-beens and giving them the title.

I don't either, you are right they have been on a down slide since last year and bringing in Hogan and Bischoff did nothing for them like they thought, well it did short term wise but long term wise... nothing. I really wish that when they did their version of the Montreal Screw job that when Kurt said I'll go back to the WWE, he meant it because I want to see Kurt end his career on a high note with the WWE.

The thing is, Kurt said in a interview he plans on retiring with TNA and staying to help the young talent which is good and bad, it's bad because he wants to retire with TNA but good since he wants to help the young talent...... oh wait I forgot there is no young talent to help in TNA, all the young stars Kurt is talking about wanting to help is all employed by Vince and the WWE... idk how he can help Swagger, Sheamus, McIntyre, Barrett, the 6 other Nexus people, Kingston, Morrison, Miz, Hart Dynasty... by being in TNA.

Come Back to the WWE Kurt!!!!

  3. I wouldn't mind seeing Ted DiBiase Jr. vs Undertaker. I mean think about the storyline and the push it would give Ted. Ted Dibiase Sr. brought Undertaker to WWF and Ted DiBiase Jr. takes Undertaker out of WWE.(This was an idea off of youtube, it just got me intrigued)

I don't want to see another HHH/Taker match at WM. Y2J wouldn't be bad. A rematch with Randy Orton? Orton has developed so much since he had his match with Undertaker at WM.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ted win MITB and become a Future WWE Champion at some point, in which if he does get the brief case I wouldn't be surprised to see him be given the proper build up before winning the WWE Championship.

Now for Ted Jr vs Undertaker at WM 27 next year, I'll be all for it. I figure the WWE would cross paths with that storyline of Ted Sr bringing him in to the WWE, and how Taker turned on Ted and maybe even bringing back Paul Bearer who Taker left Ted for, to be at Undertakers side for that match with Ted Sr in the corner of his son. It certainly could be a great match, and a great build of Ted Jr. I would be all for it, Ted Dibiase Jr with Ted Sr vs Undertaker with Paul Bearer.

Now for Undertaker retiring, or who should end the streak, well for one he won't retire anytime soon but he should because he can't do as much anymore in the ring, I think he should but I have a feeling WWE will get his streak at 20-0 before he retires. Now should anyone end it, NO! Now what we need to take into account is that Undertaker suggested Kane to end the streak and for Orton to end the streak, yet both declined the offer because of the respect they have for him, so it sounds like Mark Caloway(Taker's real name) is in favor of having someone end the streak, but I'm not sure if Vince would go for it or any superstar because just like Orton and Kane, they have a lot of respect for him. Now here's who I would choose for his last WM opponents(based on if he retires with a 20-0 streak at WM).

WM 27(Atlanta, GA)- Ted Dibiase Jr(get the whole Ted Sr storyline in now and build up Ted Jr this way) 19-0

WM 28(Toronto, CA)- Triple H 20-0 (Taker's final WM Match in Toronto Canada with The Game and in this case they can get the whole Streak vs Career angle where if Triple H wins, Taker retires(similar to the angle with Shawn) but in this case Taker wins but still ends up retiring going out on top.)

  4. I'm still waiting for the NeXuS to get Sheamus.

Well something tells me otherwise, they are trying to play out the whole Invasion Angle from 10 years ago with WWF vs WCW/ECW but with Nexus playing the role of WCW/ECW. I read that a "top star" is expected to "defect" so to speak to join Nexus and turn on the WWE. Right now the top of that list for me is between Triple H and Sheamus The Evil Irish Ghost. Triple H has been needed a heel turn for quite a while and he did help Sheamus get over as a legit threat(even though most say Sheamus is where he is now because of being workout buddies with Triple H)and Sheamus who is the WWE Champion would be a bigger blow because of him having the WWE Championship when joining them which would "hurt" the WWE.

That's what I believe will happen, it's either Sheamus or Triple H who "defects" and joins Nexus. Though Triple H is questionable because I have read that he is suppose to play the savior part and "save" the WWE from Nexus, and if that is the case I expect Sheamus to be the one who defects to Nexus and for Triple H to end up being a 14 Time World Champion when it is all set & done.

  5. Personally, I'm tired of the gimmick/themed PPVs, it's one thing to have the main event be a fatal four way, elimination chamber, or Hell in a Cell match, but having two to three matches of that type doesn't do it for me. I'd much rather they bring back the old PPVs (Unforgiven, No Mercy, Armageddon, No Way Out, Backlash, Judgement Day. Maybe even the Great American Bash and New Year's Revolution). Out of all the new PPVs they came up with, the only one I really liked was Bragging Rights.

Yeah me too, I would so agree with you. I wish they would do the traditional PPVs like you said. I remember it was a rarity when we got a TLC Match, a Hell In A Cell Match and it was done like once a year, maybe twice if we were lucky. Now by having PPVs themed around them it takes away the suspense of wondering when the next HITC or TLC Match is, now it's oh ok so now we know when it will happen. If it was up to me here is how I would do the PPV structuring:

January- Royal Rumble: Obviously this won't get touched or replaced never.

February- NO PPV (Saturday Night Main Event): I would remove Elimination Chamber from Feb and you will see where I placed it and have Saturday Night Main Event take place instead and help the build up for WM.

March- Wrestlemania: The Biggest PPV of the year

April- Backlash: Extreme Rules does not fit after WM, I feel like this is the PPV where WM feuds should end. The name itself sets it up to only happen after WM.

May- Over The Limit: I was surprised it was a gimmick PPV, I thought for sure that this was a way to book Iron Man Matches, but I was wrong and thankfully it was a regular PPV, so this is a keeper, just make sure it don't happen again where it was 10 years to the very day of Owen Hart's death at a similar PPV (Over The Edge)

June- King Of the Ring: I say bring this back, forget a MITB PPV, keep MITB at Wrestlemania and here the winner of the King Of the Ring Tournament(this is how u build stars) gets a Title Shot at Summerslam at whoever the champion is on their brand.

July- No PPV: Yes This is a Month off from PPV, as there should be a good amount of build up from the winner of the King Of the Ring to facing the champion at Summer Slam.

August- Summerslam: This is the 3rd Biggest PPV of the year.

September- Unforgiven: This just fits in the WWE PPV Schedule and like I said they need to bring back the old PPVs.

October- No PPV/No Mercy: Saturday Night Main Event. Again as you can see, I have no PPV for July to help the build to Summer Slam, well since SSeries is the 4th PPV of the "Big 4" have a build up of this and since it's built around Raw vs. SD, it can consisted of Raw vs. SD matches to prepare for SSeries. Or they can put in No Mercy again, so either No PPV or No Mercy.

November- Survivor Series: This is the 4th Biggest PPV, and am so glad they brought this back, as you can see I tossed Bragging Rights because this is where the Raw vs. SD part comes in, each year have a Raw vs. SD Traditional Survivor Series Matches and the winner gets that trophy.

December: Elimination Chamber: This is a huge drop for Elimination Chamber, from Feb to December. I said this was too big of a PPV to be in between RR and WM, this should be instead at the end before the RR, and the PPV that used to be here Armageddon, the Chamber started at that PPV so keep it here in December and have it before the Rumble and Road to Wrestlemania.

    PPVs Eliminated:

    - Extreme Rules

    - MITB

    - Bragging Rights

    - Fatal 4 Way

    - Hell in A Cell

Total PPVs In a Year: 9 PPVs (10 PPVs if No Mercy happens in October over SNME.)

  6. Hey what do you guys think about the MITB PPV? Does this mean no more MITB at Wrestlemania or is WWE ruining the concept by having it at Wrestlemania and a PPV months later(like this year)

Also what is your view on gimmick PPVs as a whole(we have seen plenty this year and last year, Fatal 4 Way, Elimination Chamber, Hell In a Cell, TLC, etc) and dropping the originals like Backlash, Judgement Day, Armageddon?

Personally, I think the MITB concept is ruined by having it at Wrestlemania and a PPV based around it with the same stipulation(use it within a year of the time they win it) now I can certainly see it if they used the MITB PPV to get the main events for Summer Slam as in the winner of MITB at the PPV get a title shot at Summer Slam but not having the same rules as the Wrestlemania one. I wish they would dump MITB PPV and just keep it at Wrestlemania and actually have someone keep it for a while and build someone up.

  7. prizes are replicas(his twitter page blew up about that people thought they were dumping real stuff),he has a great future hope he color commentates when he retires

Yeah I don't think the people they get the stuff from would go along with it if it was the real stuff falling off, I mean a car fell off!

I wouldn't be surprised that they do some battle royal for a Superstar to Guest Host Raw, and Jericho ends up winning just so they could help him promote Downfall.

Plus I wouldn't be shocked if they don't do a WWE Themed show where different Superstars and Divas are contestants and whatever prize money they win go to Make A Wish or some other charity.

  8. anyone else watch Jericho's new game show coming on in a few

Ahhhh, too much good tv on tonight, I was watching Americas Got Talent, than I remembered that Jericho's game show was also on at 9, and I want to watch that new Memphis Beat show on TNT at 10, I think a DVR is very handy for me instead of switching between commercials.

I think Jericho does a great job, I watched last week and it is a whole new Jericho, he seems like he is having fun with the show and enjoys every minute it. Though I can't believe some of the things on the belt that wind up falling over the edge.

  9. Like most play-by-play analysts in the business, his job was basically to defend all the faces while the color commentator played the heel. So, really, you can't fault him for that. You can fault him for being a below-average commentator and still somehow having a job after all these years, though...

I think Vince just keeps him around because he's the only one besides J.R. who's taken all his crap and still showed up to work the next day.

I think that Cole could easily be a heel since the fans already hate him. They don't hide their hatred of him whenever he comes out, and they experimented with him playing a heel announcer when he was moonlighting as a color commentator on the first season of NXT. He still has a long way to go before he can be a truly good heel announcer, but he can at least get genuine heel heat...even if it's go-away heat.

Yep he still does have to work on legit heat but wow did he get booed like crazy on Monday Night every time that email ding went off and he walked to the podium stand. I was like ouch... and Franchise I think you can include Jerry Lawler in that list of taking Vince's crap and still showing up for work. I mean Coach, Taz and Mick Foley couldn't take it having Vince in their ear every night telling them what to say yet Lawler, Cole, and amazingly Jim Ross who is the best wrestling announcer out there, stayed with the company even when Vince mistreated him and made a storyline out of his medical issues. Now that takes guts to stay with a company even when they poke fun at a medical issue.

  10. So does anyone think that Taker-McCool could be the new HHH-Stephanie? lol jk.

Yeah I know they have been together since 2007 and I know a lot of people give her the same grief they give Triple H(with marrying the boss' daughter) and that is McCool only got her push because of being with the Undertaker. Though I think McCool is one of the few divas that can wrestle in today's WWE, and certainly I wish they would give Lay-Cool a new storyline, anyone notice that they are now calling Rosa Mendez fat... the way they did with Mickie? Well if anything I'm hoping that with Lay-Cool calling Rosa fat and picking on her it would lead to Mickie coming back... WWE made a huge mistake getting rid of her.

  11. Well, I've finally uploaded all the pictures we took from last night. Unfortunately the camera started dying after a few matches, so I started only taking pictures of the wrestlers' entrance and after they won. Anyways, you can see all 95 pictures here in the public album of my facebook.

All in all, it was pretty good. The superstars put on a really good show and didn't half *** it since they knew it was just a house show. We had some pretty great seats five rows back and on the end so our view wasn't obstructed for the matches (we still had to squeeze our way up to the barricade during the "major" people's entrance so we could get pictures.

Evan Bourne Vs. Zack Ryder started the show. Of course Bourne got pretty big pop from the crowd, but Ryder really didn't get much of anything. However, he did goad some heat during the match from his taunting of Evan, which I personally loved (but the rest of the crowd didn't). The rest of the match was the typical Even fare, lots of kicks, sunset flips, pin attempts, and finished with the Shooting Star Press for the win. Pretty good match for the most part, Ryder got some hard kicks in on Bourne, heh.

William Regal and Goldust followed. Surprisingly, Regal got huge heat from the crowd, and even started talking trash with this huge biker in the crowd. Actually, he worked the crowd very well before Goldust came out. As soon as Goldust's music hit though, he got a bigger reaction than I was expecting (it is Goldust after all). Once the match started, the crowd went back to it's "You Suck" chants to Regal, who grabbed a mic and declared "I can't possibly suck, I'm not from Youngstown". Of course, the chanting only got louder, while the match went on. They put on a great match for the most part with Goldust eventually winning it.

Vladimir Kozlov came out, and spoke russian for the majority of his promo before finally saying "I demand good competition". Well, unfortunately for him, all he got was Yoshi Tatsu, which turned into a very one-sided fight, and probably the least exciting match of the entire night. Tatsu got maybe 3 kicks in while Kozlov just handled him.

As soon as Ted DiBiase's music hit, the crowd starting booing. However, it wasn't until he started his promo that he got the real heat. Ted told the crowd that they wish they could be him since he can have anything he wants, nice cars, nice houses, beautiful women (he was accompanied to the ring by Maryse), while all they could do is live in their crappy houses and dream. Apparently, the WWE switched Morrison and Mark Henry in their scheduled matches, (Ted was originally supposed to fight Henry, while Morrison was in the Triple Threat Match for the US title). Morrison got a huge pop from the crowd (he was also the first superstar to come out who had signs in the crowd). Honestly, this was one of the best matches from the night. Maryse distracted Morrison a few times, which led to him chasing her around the ring. Eventually, she was on the apron trying to keep Morrison's attention, while DiBiase was going to hit him from behind, but he John dodged and Ted ran into Maryse ( :( ). It wasn't long before John hit the "Starship Pain", and scored the victory. The best part of the match was when Maryse was right by the barricade on my side of the ring, trying to flag down the cotton candy dude, but the security guard wouldn't get him for her. I would have been asking anyone for five dollars to get her that cotton candy.

The award for best performance of the night hands down went to The Miz. He cut the best promo of the night, which probably rivaled some of his televised ones as well. After the boos started, he demanded to know why he's getting booed, since he's from Cleveland. According to him, the crowd should be on their knees since he's the best thing to come out of the entire state of Ohio. Miz went on to state that he's "bigger than Youngstown, bigger than Cleveland, bigger than Columbus, bigger than the entire state." The crowd was asked to name one superstar from the state of Ohio that's better than him, "Drew Carey? I'm bigger than him. LeBron James? LeBron James never brought anything to Ohio! I'm bringing the United States championship, you people should be bowing to me!"

Mark Henry was his first opponent to come out, and I must say, the dude is even bigger in person than on TV. When R-Truth came out to his "rap song", the Miz started this ridiculous little dance mocking him and the crowd. It was absolutely priceless, I wish I had gotten a picture of it. Although it was billed as a triple threat match, it was more of a singles match between the Miz and Truth. Sadly, Henry was slammed into the ringpost about 5 minutes in (after a few punches and a failed attempt to sit on the Miz) and remained outside the ring for the majority of the match. The rest of the match consisted of the usual R-Truth spots, before the Miz dodged the scissors kick, and walked away with the victory.

After a "brief intermission", Santino came out to guest referee the Divas match between Eve and Alicia Fox. If it wasn't for Santino's shenanigans, I probably wouldn't have had much (if any) pictures of the match. Despite that, it was still an entertaining match (like I said, my camera was dying, but I had to try to get pictures of the crap Santino was doing), Eve seemed to have improved (at least for one night) her wrestling skills. The only real laughable part was when Alicia was slamming Eve's head into the mat, she was noticeably slowing down when Eve's head was getting ready to hit the canvas. It wasn't long after that, though, that Fox hit her scissors kick and earned the win. I will say that Eve is even better looking in person than she is on TV.

With only the main event left, the ring crew came out to assemble the cage while the crowd took a break. Once it was completely together, Sheamus was the first of the four men to come out. Out of both heels, he got the larger amount of heat, especially when he was posing on the ring steps with the championship belt. Sadly, he didn't really give any photo op's, aside from the ring steps. As Metalingus started playing, the crowd gave Edge a HUGE pop, which surprised me as to how he's been played against Orton lately. He pulled a Sheamus and ended up just getting into the ring. Thanks for the photo ops, Edge :(

As soon as "Voices" hit, the biggest pop of the night started (until Cena came out...) and lasted the entire two minutes of his walk into the ring. Orton actually gave the best photo op as well, climbing to the top of the cage, surveyed the crowd, and went into his trademark pose. Of course, Cena came out next and all you heard was the high pitched screams of middle aged women and little kids. I was too busy turning off my camera to take any pictures of him, that and trying to deal with the girl behind me screaming into my ear. During the match, Sheamus got the most of the attention from the crowd (countless Sheamus Sucks chants). I tried to counter the "Let's Go Cena" chants with "Cena sucks!" but it wasn't catching on. The match itself was great, with all four men at least attempting their finishers (Edge missed the spear and ran head first into the cage. Orton RKO'd Edge, before Sheamus bicycle kicked him, and Cena attempted the Attitude Adjustment on Sheamus). However! While Cena had Sheamus on his shoulders, the Nexus ran out and stormed the ring. Edge and Sheamus were laid out, with Orton following not long after. Cena ended up getting pummeled while Justin Gabriel held the door closed. After a few minutes though, the rest of the WWE locker room came out to aid Sheamus, Edge, Orton and Cena. Bourne lept from atop the cage, Morrison climbed over the top, while DiBiase, Henry, Miz, Regal, Goldust, and Santino knocked Gabriel out of the way and entered in through the door. After clearing house, Tarver was caught and thrown into the ring with Cena (Morrison held the door closed). When Tarver turned around and saw Cena, he ran to the door and begged for them to open it. Sadly, Cena turned him around and gave him the AA. Night over.

For only a house show, it was surprisingly good and entertaining. The ring work was great, the few promos that were cut were great, and the interaction with the crowd was great. The Nexus interfering with the Main Event definitely took the cake. I never would have expected them to throw that angle in for a house show, but it went over extremely well. Even though on Raw it got a bit stale seeing them run out and destroy everyone week in and week out, it was surprisingly fresh and entertaining in person. The Covelli Centre far from sold out though. The ringside sections were sold out, but the stands had two empty sections.

I apologize for the massive post and the shoddy writing, I've only been up for a little bit and I'm still trying to fully wake up.

Sounded like a lot of fun, I remember going to a house show in 07 in Wildwood, NJ and that was fun, and that set an attendance record for the convention center. House shows seem like they are more fun and the wrestlers are more relaxed. Now on to what I bolded.

I probably would have pulled out $5 and paid for Cotton Candy and tried to get down to the barricade and yelling to get Maryse's attention and gave her the cotton candy, or better yet I would have stole a stick of Cotton Candy for Maryse, in fact I would do anything for her. ^_^

That comes to no surprise that the Miz is great on the mic, it would not surprise me to see him in the Raw MITB match at the PPV coming up. To me the promo where he is backstage talking about all he went through early on, that was what started things for him as a singles competitor.

Well that don't surprise me that Edge didn't leave much for a photo op, with his whole heel gimmick it's a rarity a heel leaves a photo op for people... I guess he forgot how to do the all so famous 5 Second Pose.... this has to be my favorite one.... and you all would agree:

    E & C 5 Second Pose on SD before Ravens-Raiders game in 2001: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVAhFiELkbI

Right now I'm trying to save up to go to Wrestlemania 27 since it is in Atlanta next year, but hopefully I can find a house show or a SD taping to go to in NC(I missed the Raw show a couple weeks back) Glad you had Fun!

  12. Under both circumstances, Miz is safe then. He's probably the best wrestler for the title right now on the brand, and I'd hate to see him get injured when he's finally starting to grow on me (although how he holds the mic when he's walking out to the ring still hasn't).

I've actually heard Eve is even better looking in person, although I can't imagine how that could be possible. I'm just making a guess as to the Eve/Maryse match, it'd make sense for them to have a match since they're listed. But with my luck, Maryse will just accompany DiBiase to the ring (thanks to their new storyline), and the WWE will have Eve accompany Henry for the night. In which case, one of them (preferably Maryse) better be standing at my side of the ring, or I'll be highly disappointed.

I'd love to get the chance to meet Maryse and land an autograph, but my girlfriend would literally kill me if I even mentioned the idea.

Then don't mention it and get her autograph without her knowing ;)

I think I have only met 2 or 3 wrestlers ever, my first was when I was in either 1st or 3rd grade and I met Scott "Razor Ramon" Hall and at the time he was the IC champion and the picture is me holding the title(surprisingly I could hold the belt without falling, it was heavy!) and him in the back doing his trademark pose.

On Memorial Day Weekend I met...... WOOOOOOOOOOOO! That's Right the Nature Boy Ric Flair at a Wal-Mart in Concord, NC. I'll say this I wanted to ask him something about TNA but I was just so star struck to be having the chance to get his autograph, I just stayed quiet lol. He signed my Wrestlemania 24 DVD.

Since most of you guys are from MD, and I am but moved to NC, did anyone here go to Backlash in 2008 or the recent PPV Extreme Rules at 1st Mariner Arena?

  13. Edge already stated in an interview (I believe with the Wrestling Observer or PWI) that he will likely be finished within the next two years because of his injury history. He wants to be healthy in old age and he recognizes that the injuries are a sign that he can't keep pushing his body the way he used to.

As for Jericho, he's never been better in his career. He is the complete package right now. He can keep losing matches (as he has on television for quite some time now) and still be viewed as a legitimate main eventer because of how he's booked to lose and how skilled he is. It seems as if this final stretch run in his career is focused mainly on elevating talent, as he's put over quite a few guys and has helped bring legitimacy to each belt he's carried, no matter how brief. He has been involved in some great feuds over the past couple of years and this is some of the best mic work he's ever done. Sure, people might miss his old Rock Star gimmick, but I love how he's showing his acting chops and can get almost anyone over.

I'm just thrilled that, even with the poor quality of some of these storylines, there's so many younger guys being gradually pushed in WWE. Sure, some pushes could be handled better than others, but at least their main event and mid-card scene isn't as stagnant as TNA right now. Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have really done a number on that company...

It will be a shame when Edge retires. Edge was certainly one of the best superstars in the WWE and his whole Rated R persona really fitted him well. Certainly Edge was thrown in some odd story lines(Vickie Guerrero) but he went along with it and performed well. I think certainly he could be around longer if it wasn't for all the TLC Matches he did in the 90's. Granted they were fun to watch but take away any ladder match off his resume and I'm sure he might have been healthier today. He just hasn't been the same since he came back at the Rumble earlier in the year, it was great to see him come back but I think he came back too early and personally I think he should have waited until about now to come back to be fully healed and start his feud with Jericho now and saved their Wrestlemania Match for Summer Slam. The one thing I will remember(and this is was one of the reasons I bolded Bischoff's name) is when Edge returned in 2004 and speared Eric Bischoff... talking about making an impact, spear the GM.

Edge Returns in 2004 and Spears Eric Bischoff:

Now for Jericho, I think this is the best he has ever been probably since his feud with Shawn Michaels in 2008. You are right, Jericho is one of those guys where he is still considered a main eventer regardless he has the title, he's chasing the title or in mid card defending the IC Championship. I think it's great that Jericho is helping Evan Bourne get over, just wish their matches would be longer, especially at Fatal 4 Way where it only got 12 minutes and probably deserved the 6 minutes it took to do the Divas Fatal 4 Way match to make it an 18 minute match, and given the extra 6 minutes or somewhere around 20-25 minutes, Jericho and Bourne could put on a wrestling clinic.

I still find it funny how Eric Bischoff said that Chris Jericho couldn't headline.... well he held him down in WCW for the NWO to be re-born a billion times until Vince bought WCW, and right when Jericho came to the WWF/E he became a star, and had the bold task of interrupting The Great One. First Undisputed Champion by beating both Stone Cold & The Rock, and his promos with Stephanie McMahon.... hilarious! Again Eric said Jericho couldn't headline.... amazing.... oh wait.... hold on here is what Bischoff said(it's more of a summary couldn't find exact quote from Eric but have the exact quote from Jericho's twitter(oh and time for a DX like plug, you can follow Jericho here: http://twitter.com/IAmJericho :D) about Jericho and Jericho's response:

Bischoff: He never crapped on Jericho, likes him, but doesn’t think he can headline.

    Jericho's Response: Bischoffs right I can't headline in TNA...cos I'm not in my 50s.

    Typical Jericho!

  14. Is the silence from the crowd because drool is quiet or because men are afraid to cheer in front of their women?

lol well I'll say both, they are drooling and just not cheering in front of their wife or girlfriend. That is the one thing I'm jealous of the Miz about and that he is dating Maryse in real life, that lucky bum lol.

@ATD: Yeah I wasn't a fan of Sheamus at first but he has grown on me. I really wish they had done a better build up of him before he won the title first instead of just giving him the title after Cena jumped off the rope. Granted they did a great job of building him up with his storyline with Triple H, and Trips put him over very well I mean Trips let him take him out. It just makes me wonder if Sheamus can end up switching sides and joining the Nexus group since he is a big time heel now and he has the title which would hurt the WWE kayfabe wise.

I also am a fan of some of these new guys they have and am waiting for John Morrison to get his push and become WWE Champion, I'm waiting for the Miz to get his shot at the main event and possibly become WHC on SD, I wish they kept the belt on Swagger, he was just going into his own as Champion and they take it off of him and put it on the guy who injured Undertaker, so essentially the WWE awarded Rey for injuring Taker by giving him his spot in the match and the belt.

  15. I agree for the most part, aside from his ring work it doesn't impress me at all. Just like his character, it's entirely predictable. A typical Cena match goes something like this: Bell rings, Cena and his opponent have equal footing for a minute or two. However, his opponent gains momentum and he's quickly overpowered. Now, Cena will continue to be dominated for the majority of the match before his opponent whips him into the rope. He'll duck a clothesline (happens every. single. time.) and hit a shoulder block, duck again, shoulder block and his opponent is down. Cue the Five Knuckle Shuffle, followed by the F-U... uh, I mean "Attitude Adjustment". What happens next is the most variety you get out of one of his matches. Either he'll pin them for the win, or they'll either have blocked/countered the AA (maybe kick out of the pin, although unlikely) and Cena will just put on the STF-U.... uh, I mean STF. Every match follows that progression, to the point where I can literally tell when it's going to happen and call it before it starts.

His feuds are usually the same thing as well. He'll get dominated for the majority of the month, cut some promos saying how he'll never give up because he loves this company and doesn't know the words I quit. After four weeks of that, Cena shows up at the PPV is damn-near invincible. Add in the fact that he'll hold the belt for months on end, lose it, and then win it back in a month or two doesn't help either.

Regardless though, I don't think Cena is at the Rock's level (popularity wise, maybe due to his appeal to children), but when it comes to charisma, mic skills, and ring work, I'll give it to the Rock every time. If the WWE doesn't do something to Cena's character, they are going to be in trouble once his fanbase grows older. Nothing beats hearing the dueling chants of "Let's Go Cena - Cena Sucks" in the crowd though.

If you think about it, they're doing the same thing to Rey Mysterio. Honestly, how can you really consider him an underdog anymore? He doesn't lose his matches very often, and when's the last time a feud he was in ended with him being the obvious "loser"? Mysterio is already over with every child out there, he doesn't really gain anything anymore from winning his feuds. Like the last CM Punk Feud. Mysterio really didn't gain anything from winning the feud, yet Punk lost his hair and got set back a lot of steps towards the main event (at least in my opinion). It doesn't help that his matches are predictable as well, you're guaranteed to see a hurricanrana, that silly wheelbarrow position to bulldog counter, maybe a few dives (he isn't the high flier he used to be), and then the stupid 619 (I can't see how this is a finisher). The fact that he's World Heavyweight Champion baffles me. The man is billed at 5'6 (while he's probably more along the lines of 5'2-5'4) and 175 pounds (but probably 155-165), that's not a heavyweight.

Part of me feels that one day, the company is going to come back to something similar to the Attitude Era, so they can keep their fan base. Although it wouldn't surprise me to see them stay with the Family-Friendly approach.

So A Cena match is more like a Hulk Hogan match except he Hulks up, points his finger at his opponent, does a few punches, tosses him into the ropes for a big boot(unless his opponent ducks) and he hits a leg drop that I know nobody in real life would stay down that long, kinda like how it is hard to believe someone stays down long enough for Cena to do the 5 Knuckle Shuffle and Hogan wins the match. I think a better comparison for Cena is Hulk Hogan, plays the Super Man Gimmick, hardly loses, always gets the belt back somehow and instead of telling people to say their prayers and eat their vitamins Cena just has this whole Hustle, Loyalty and Respect thing.

Yeah, which to me says he'll continue to get beat up by these rookies and somehow end up "saving the WWE" from the Nexus Invasion(though I read that the savior role is probably going to played by Triple H)

The whole Rock-Cena thing, again the only thing they have in common is that they did movies, Cena is this generations Hulk Hogan. Though I would love to see The Rock vs John Cena at Wrestlemania and see The Rock take John Cena to Jabroni Drive at the Smackdown Hotel.

I AGREE ABOUT PUNK! Mysterio needed to join the SES a while back. Mysterio needed to lose to not only enhance the SES but move Punk closer to the World Heavyweight Championship. For Punk to lose to Mysterio and have his hair shaved so soon, made me mad. I could have seen Mysterio winning and the SES getting involved and saving Punk from a hair cut and Punk runs off and keeps his hair to enhance the feud. The WWE dropped the ball on the SES just like they did with Legacy. I'm a huge a fan of Punk and love this Straight Edge Gimmick though I do question making it a heel gimmick when your geared toward kids, making it seem like it is ok to do drink and do drugs.

I'll be waiting for the day where they go to something similar to the AE, but let's remember one thing the AE was something we won't get back and seemed like it was just right. We had guys like The Rock, Stone Cold, NWO & DX running around causing havoc, the AE seemed more like having the right stars in the right company at the right time. If they can keep me hooked for as long they have(I am 20, and have watched since I was in 1st grade) than I don't expect to stop watching and stop going to events, and stop buying their Video Games and DVDs, in fact I went to Broadcasting School so I can end up either in NFL or NASCAR, I would love to go work for the WWE, production or backstage announcer would be fine for me.

Edit: Just changed my Avatar to the new WWE Champion, Sheamus! Now can someone get a memo to Vince about changing the WWE Title back to it's pre-Cena Belt Change, that belt looks stupid on guys like Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista and Sheamus, and that is the truth Fella!
