  3. This year might be our best shot we have had at Home Field Advantage. Steelers, Patriots both have secondaries that are questionable. Br*dy is suspended first four games. Denver is praying Manning's arm can hold up through the season. That just leaves us.

Yes Colts look like a great contender this year.. I can see them as a 2-3 seed this year

Colts? Breshad Perriman, Steve Smith, Maxx Williams, and Forsett. Against their putrid secondary? Don't think so.

    4. VeiledPsychosis

      VeiledPsychosis

Their secondary isn't THAT bad, sure they aren't shutting anyone down but Davis is legit. Perriman and Williams are both rookies so lets not act as if they're guaranteed to put up big numbers. I'm not saying we can't win against them but they are more of a challenge than you are making them out to be. Plus, if they force the game into a shootout they have plenty of weapons to beat lots of teams.

  5. Apparently people are mad that we didn't Punt on the final play. I'm sorry but that's called playing smart football. Not cheating.

    1. BmoreBird22

      BmoreBird22

Look at it this way: BB does this type of thing to find a loophole in the rules and it's dirty and cheating. The Ravens do it and it's brilliant.

Think of how other fanbases feel.

    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Do you mean the media? Because I've seen nothing but praise for Harbs and how smart he was on that play. Haven't seen anything about it being cheating.

    3. JO_75

      JO_75

Mostly from fans, I've seen nothing but praise from the media as well. Just fans upset and Patriots fans in the comment section on PFT saying how if they did it, Harbaugh would whine, etc. Stupid fans, that's all.

  6. To quote Chris Jericho, I wish Colin Kaepernick would please shut the hell up. First he is playing the what if game about the NFC Title game, now he is spewing some "what if" stuff about last year's SB loss.

    1. Ravenslifer

      Ravenslifer

Guess it's true when they say the team takes on the persona of the head coach. Who cares anyway - if he wanted to win, he should have played better. One play doesn't change the fact that he thew a pick in the Superbowl and completed under 60 percent of his passes.

    2. Hardbaugh

      Hardbaugh

Yeah seriously Kap and friends. Torrey and Pitta mugged numerous times but the refs supposed to change their ways on the last play. If the game was called straight (as Kap wants) the last play wouldn't have mattered. Ravens way in a rout!!

  8. When we beat the Chargers... Ray gave the team a pregame speech. We beat the Rams... Ed Reed gave the team a pregame speech. This truly shows we are missing a leader in the locker room. I believe if Suggs didn't get hurt, he would be that guy. Then when Suggs retires, we again have nobody. We need to find a locker room leader for 2016.

    1. sflegend89

      sflegend89

I think so as well, he's still only 23. CJ has come out of his shell a lot this year, in a few years I think Daryl is going to hand the defense over to CJ and he will hopefully run with it.

      reed20

Or just add Ray and Reed into the coaching staff!

    3. Dorota

      Dorota

My hopes are up for CJ. He'll get there eventually, with more experience and more commendations in his CV. Timmy Jernigan has some of Sizzle's sass, but not his leadership. He'll be the player we'll enjoy and other fans will love to hate. Ed Reed - it'd be great if he eventually made it into Ravens' coaching staff.

  9. Ray Lewis - 26th Pick. Ed Reed - 24th Pick. Marshal Yanda - 86th Pick. Flacco - 18th Pick. Webb - 88th Pick. Pitta - 114th Pick. Brent Urban - 134th Pick. Timmy Jernigan - 48th Pick. Brandon Williams - 94th pick. Point being... we can find great players in any round so please stop complaining that winning will ruin our draft spot.

The same people that say it does not matter what draft spot the ravens are in are the same people defending Ozzie's inability to find pro bowl talent because of the ravens later draft positions. It's about getting a plug and play player. This isn't a deep draft to begin with. When you watch Bosa take the NFL by storm and the ravens end up with a slightly better than average player or yet another Elam or upshaw hope you enjoyed the win in Cleveland. And allnthre homers will defend...

  11. At some point, you have to look at the scheme and play calling of the defensive coordinator. Wade Phillips has done wonders for Denver in just four games plus they switched from a 4-3 to a 3-4 and are this good. That proves a DC change can do us wonders.

      VeiledPsychosis

If the colts fire Pagano I fully expect him be hired somewhere else by the end of the week. Not his fault the GM has given him nobody on the defensive side of the ball. Like what happened to Rex in NY

  18. Man, Pagano is getting as bad as Rex. Go ahead and over pay McPhee and we'll take that very good compensatory pick in return.

    1. PurpleCity5

      PurpleCity5

To be honest, Pagano had plenty to do with McPhee's success, I'm certain Indy would be ideal for McPhee considering that he'll be joining former teammates and I'm sure he likes Pagano a lot.

    2. MissRay27

      MissRay27

Yeah, just like Cleveland and Miami picking up our guys. Hope he shows up for them, not like Ellerbe, and I'm certain Cleveland regrets giving Kruger all that money,

Kruger was actually really good this year but I felt they didn't have to give a contract that lucrative.

  19. Wonder if I'm the only one who likes the Extra Point being moved back. With this passing league, I was positive the Kicker position would turn into a dying a breed and be phased out. Now the NFL just put emphasis on having a good Kicker and made it more important of a position for the full 60 minutes, not just parts of the game.

    1. beasy2487

      beasy2487

I don't totally agree because, unless this equates to higher pay for kickers, I think it just means there is a higher incentive to go for 2.

    2. RavensAllTheWay

      RavensAllTheWay

I think it's a terrible change because games are now going to be won and lost by what happens after TDs. What if a game comes down to a kicker missing a 33 yard FG? What if it comes down to which team makes for 2 pt attempts? Not how games should be decided.

I also totally agree. We have plenty of playmakers. They are just always under achieving. I only enjoyed watching one game this whole year. It was more because the Dolphins didn't come to play than our execution.

This was probably the easiest schedule we've seen in years. We had healthy players throughout. You can fire all the coordinators you want but at the end of the day Harbaugh has to be called out.

I'm not sure what is going on but as I've said before, if we trust in Ozzy for good players than it must be the coaching of those players that is the problem. I think if we had any other GM in the league picking players this team would be far worse.
