  1. The new season is here. The Super Bowl is in the past. There is no need to gloat about winning a past Super Bowl, unless of course your a Steelers fan.

  2. The only positive to this loss is we get a head start on keeping Daniels and Forsett. Get working on those contracts Ozzie.

  3. The pregame speech for this game should be simple. We are playing in the stadium that is hosting Super Bowl 50. Go out and win, and keep winning. Don't make this the only trip to San Francisco this season....

  4. The Rams must be planning to start 11 OL on offense this season. How Denver didn't take Isaiah Battle is beyond me.

      52520Andrew

Eh the Rams have a lot of uncertainty there so they are pretty much throwing a bunch of stuff at the wall and seeing if anything sticks with these rookies

  5. The Steelers banned all games, while Jim Irsay bought every Colts player an XBOX One. Meanwhile the Ravens are too busy winning games to play any games.

  6. There's a reason we say "In Oz We Trust", and the first three rounds showed why. Here's to more great selections tomorrow!

RB, CB, DL Depth and possibly another target like a Stefon Diggs or maybe a tackle? We'll see we have 6 picks so all of those could be picks!!

  8. This day just keeps getting worse. Gabbert finds Torrey Smith wide open for the game winning TD. Smith blew past him... I miss his speed.

      DomMcRaven

If Perriman was healthy, I wouldn't be.

  9. This has just been the most unluckiest Ravens season I have ever seen. 2-7 but so close to being 6-3, 7-2, 8-1, etc.

    1. redrum52

      redrum52

Ha. So close to being winless too.

    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

I prefer to look at it as how close we are to being not just a contender, but a dominant team. A few pieces here and there will do it.

  10. This year might be our best shot we have had at Home Field Advantage. Steelers, Patriots both have secondaries that are questionable. Br*dy is suspended first four games. Denver is praying Manning's arm can hold up through the season. That just leaves us.

      raven22nation

Yes Colts look like a great contender this year.. I can see them as a 2-3 seed this year

Colts? Breshad Perriman, Steve Smith, Maxx Williams, and Forsett. Against their putrid secondary? Don't think so.

    3. VeiledPsychosis

      VeiledPsychosis

Their secondary isn't THAT bad, sure they aren't shutting anyone down but Davis is legit. Perriman and Williams are both rookies so lets not act as if they're guaranteed to put up big numbers. I'm not saying we can't win against them but they are more of a challenge than you are making them out to be. Plus, if they force the game into a shootout they have plenty of weapons to beat lots of teams.

  12. To quote Chris Jericho, I wish Colin Kaepernick would please shut the hell up. First he is playing the what if game about the NFC Title game, now he is spewing some "what if" stuff about last year's SB loss.

      Ravenslifer

Guess it's true when they say the team takes on the persona of the head coach. Who cares anyway - if he wanted to win, he should have played better. One play doesn't change the fact that he thew a pick in the Superbowl and completed under 60 percent of his passes.

    2. Hardbaugh

      Hardbaugh

Yeah seriously Kap and friends. Torrey and Pitta mugged numerous times but the refs supposed to change their ways on the last play. If the game was called straight (as Kap wants) the last play wouldn't have mattered. Ravens way in a rout!!

  13. To Rex Ryan, take a lesson from Snoop Dog, just lay down and don't try to prove anything by winning against the Jets.

  14. To think, how excited I was at this time of the year when the Ravens were the ones going to the Super Bowl. Good times.. Good times.

I was remembering the afccg we won and next time hope we can celebrate at home like the two teams did today. Good Memories

  15. Tomorrow Morning marks the return of the annual fight with the Ticketmaster Bots for Ravens tickets. Who else is trying to get tickets tomorrow?

    1. PuRock

      PuRock

I was at it again this year. Brutal like always, but I kept at it.

I did get two tickets to the KC game 1st row in the 500 section somehow at about 10:45.

    2. JO_75

      JO_75

Yeah I just bought 2 tickets to the Chargers game, 524 Row 31 Seats 24 and 25

Browns game Section 128 then in Miami section 117. IK am satisfied although the Pittsburgh game does intrigue me.

  16. Torrey and Anquan won Super Bowls with us and are now stuck on a team with poor management, constant bad decisions and looks like they will face a losing season ahead. They deserve so much better.

    1. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

and then torrey turned down respectable contract offers twice, he bet on himself once, lost, and then turned down our next contract offer which supposedly was basically the same as the first one offered, and he turned that one down, for an extra 500k over 4 years in SF. they did it to themselves.

    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Torrey IMO pulled every bit a Cundiff move on that last play. Just a wee bit of effort and it is at least not an INT. Oh well - be a loser in SF. See how you like it. Still have some Boldin love - perhaps it is more respect - but making the claim he'd retire a Raven before putting on another Jersey & then refusing a pay cut - kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Another who will reap what he sowed.

    3. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

i dont have much love for boldin after that classless and desperate money grab. i still got love for torrey, but he boned us on that play by completely giving up and cost us a trip to the AFCCG and then ditched us for a small difference of money, and after CA income tax, he actually makes less than what he wouldve gotten by taking our deal. so yeah i feel they just chased a couple extra pennies and said to hell with baltimore

  17. Ugh.... I hate you Ticketmaster! This whole time no tickets for the Ravens-Steelers game are available but all of a sudden a bunch of tickets are released for sale. GRRRRRR!

    1. PuRock

      PuRock

FYI usually two days before the game they will release tickets. That's how I've been buying mine.

Even if they don't announce, they show up.

Steelers returned 200 tickets yesterday. Usually check the Thursday before a home game or in this case Tuesday

      JO_75

Yeah but it screws the out of towners like me who can't just ask off work days before the game. NFL really screws up the whole putting in for time off to be able to go and even getting that time off from work.

  18. Was reading The Caw, man I can't believe our boy Joe is 30 already. Man time sure does fly, but at least he wants to play into his 40's, so we are pretty much set at QB for the next 10 years.

I feel like I've watched my kid grow up, never mind that Joe is older than me.

Haha. There are fewer than 10 players on the Ravens roster right now that are older than me. Joe is not one of them :(

  19. Was today the last football-less Sunday of 2013? YES! YES! YES!

  20. Watch out AFC...... Playoff Joe is coming and he wants to play.

Quarterbacks should watch out for ME. Im signing on as a cornerback. Starting immediately

  21. We are a young team, there will be growing pains that go along with it. Reminds me of the 6-10 Packers the first year with Rodgers. Patience my friends....

    1. Stephenjr

      Stephenjr

I have to disagree with you. are team is not that young. Are team is lacking intensity. Ray being gone has really hurt this team, in the will to win sense. There is no other human on earth like 52. So we can't blame anyone for his lack of leadership not being here. I personally hope we get the best draft position we can. It wouldn't hurt us to get young IMHO. lets go get a few studs in the draft this year, Let Marlon grow and get stronger, and hope for the best next year.

    2. Sizzlebshu

      Sizzlebshu

you know what the problem with that statement is? The Pack went 6-10

  22. Welcome Back Vonta! The last of the dying breed, I miss the days when a FB was one of the important positions on the team.

  24. When we beat the Chargers... Ray gave the team a pregame speech. We beat the Rams... Ed Reed gave the team a pregame speech. This truly shows we are missing a leader in the locker room. I believe if Suggs didn't get hurt, he would be that guy. Then when Suggs retires, we again have nobody. We need to find a locker room leader for 2016.

    1. sflegend89

      sflegend89

I think so as well, he's still only 23. CJ has come out of his shell a lot this year, in a few years I think Daryl is going to hand the defense over to CJ and he will hopefully run with it.

    2. reed20

      reed20

Or just add Ray and Reed into the coaching staff!

    3. Dorota

      Dorota

My hopes are up for CJ. He'll get there eventually, with more experience and more commendations in his CV. Timmy Jernigan has some of Sizzle's sass, but not his leadership. He'll be the player we'll enjoy and other fans will love to hate. Ed Reed - it'd be great if he eventually made it into Ravens' coaching staff.

  25. Why is there a debate about the overtime rules.... again? If the Packers had scored on their first possession and won, would there be any discussion? Probably not but because the Packers didn't get a chance in OT, the media goes nuts.
