  1. Our 8th victory means the worse we can finish is 8-8. Meaning in 7 seasons with us, Harbaugh will yet to have a losing season. Congrats Harbs!

It's quite funny the ones who want him gone every time we lose don't realize this fact.

  2. Our depth at WR is going to make training camp interesting next year. Aiken & Marlon Brown are RFA so they will be back. Daniel Brown, Jeremy Butler and Chris Matthews are ERFAs. Givens being the only UFA WR. Plus Clay is a ERFA so for another two years we get a low costing yet great returner.

      PolishRifle

I dunno. We talken about our "depth at WR" before this season. Didn't turn out too well. We need to draft someone great.

FA/trade seems to be the better route than draft. I doubt we just go in with these guys though.

    3. RaineV1

      RaineV1

I think the Ravens might just release Marlon Brown. He did nothing this year, and lost playing time to guys that weren't even on the team at the beginning of the year.

  3. Ozzie is pretty spot on about what we need to be better next year.

  4. Ozzie should keep Flacco at his $28M cap hit for next season to troll the rest of the league given these ridiculous new QB contracts.

    1. ellicottraven

      ellicottraven

They've actually accounted for that in next year's cap strategy I believe. If you go back to the state of the Ravens presser, I believe they talked about it.

  5. Paging Todd Heap... Paging Todd Heap. Even an injured Heap is better than what we have at TE.

  6. Pitta's injury is not the end of the world, We lost Webb to IR, Suggs and Ray both were injured at some point yet we still won the Super Bowl. Just saying.

Strewth! Everyone be freaking out like it's the end of the world. What year was it that we had like 14 guys on IR at the same time?

  7. Pushing the draft back? Now pushing the schedule release to either Wednesday or Thursday. I would like to plan my second vacation.... at some point Mr. Goodell.

  8. Ravens need a win + a SD loss to get into the playoffs and be the 6th seed. So the loss to SD comes back to bite us. Damn it.

    1. Stephenjr

      Stephenjr

Yeah, and we actually dominated them in all phases of the game. The stars just don't want to align this year.

Gotta get by Connor Shaw first.

Connor Shaw. Given how we like to make unknowns look like Peyton, the name strikes fear into my heart.

  9. Ravens-Patriots flexed OUT of Sunday Night Football? There is no other game worth being played on SNF. Guess the possibility of another manure chant scared NBC away.

    1. Corvus

      Corvus

Monday night games can't be flexed for obvious reasons ravensdfan. That said, its pretty ridiculous that BOTH CIN/PIT matchups are primetime games...

Cincy/Pitt is a Sunday night game.

  10. Ray Lewis - 26th Pick. Ed Reed - 24th Pick. Marshal Yanda - 86th Pick. Flacco - 18th Pick. Webb - 88th Pick. Pitta - 114th Pick. Brent Urban - 134th Pick. Timmy Jernigan - 48th Pick. Brandon Williams - 94th pick. Point being... we can find great players in any round so please stop complaining that winning will ruin our draft spot.

winning confidence carried over next year, so it matters.....

    2. Winchester

      Winchester

The same people that say it does not matter what draft spot the ravens are in are the same people defending Ozzie's inability to find pro bowl talent because of the ravens later draft positions. It's about getting a plug and play player. This isn't a deep draft to begin with. When you watch Bosa take the NFL by storm and the ravens end up with a slightly better than average player or yet another Elam or upshaw hope you enjoyed the win in Cleveland. And allnthre homers will defend...

  13. Read Eric Ebron has been dropping a lot of passes over in Detroit. Seems like Jim Caldwell found himself a Detroit version of Ed Dickson.

    1. ravensnick

      ravensnick

Give Ebron time, they also have Petrigrew and Fauria. I think they end up using Ebron primarily in the slot receiver position.

    2. ravensnick

      ravensnick

Yeah, because he is definitely enough of an athlete to do that and they do have Petrigrew (who they just resigned) and Fauria (who broke out huge as a red zone threat). They honestly probably having the best receiving corps with Megatron (Best WR in the league)/Tate (one of the better #2s in the league)/Petrigrew (solid all-around TE)/Fauria(redzone threat)/Ebron(slot wide receiver IMO, and would be a beast at that)/Bush (over 500 receiving yards and 3 tds last year)/Bell(547 receiving yards...

    3. TDubbs

      TDubbs

Yeah wow, that is pretty stacked when you break it down like that. They already had 2 TE's when the drafted Ebron. So he really is pretty much the #3 WR. That is going to be a crazy offense to watch this year!

just don't want to end with the Bengals yet again.

  15. So far I'm liking the way Free Agency signings are heading. Teams filling needs at CB and RB now. Meaning hello good CB or RB at 26.

    1. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Well now it better be WR at 26. No Jacoby, No Torrey. Need a true top WR. We only have role guys left.

  16. So glad this boring off-season gets more exciting next week with the NFL Draft... oh wait.

um...the schedule should be coming out soon!!! :)

  18. So NBA approved playoff seeding by record, and not divisions. Going to be interesting to see if this works considering people have argued for this type of seeding in the NFL.

    1. stampedehero

      stampedehero

Single game playoff and divisional title vs 5 game NBA series. Thats the difference.

  19. So Ray Rice gets his suspension lifted but Adrian Peterson stays suspended? Goodell is going to go down in court, it's about to get ugly.

    2. poescrows

      poescrows

RR got his lifted because of double jeopardy. Not the case with AP.

    3. RaineV1

      RaineV1

Ray Rice got his lifted because he was essentially punished twice for the same event. That isn't the case with AP.

  21. Thanks for the early birthday present Ravens by beating the Chargers. Tomorrow.... I will know what's it like to be in the same room as Ray. This might be the best birthday ever.

  22. Thanks Jahvid Best. Thank you for suing the NFL because they didn't do enough to protect you and getting us one step closer to Flag Football. #ThankYouNotes

    1. SeaHawk

      SeaHawk

Agreed ravensdfan... it's like volunteering to go pound your head against a brick wall until you get a major concussion, and then you go and sue the people who own that brick building. It's insane.

    2. berad

      berad

Best was drafted in 2010, same year NFL started to really crackdown on concussions.

He doesn't have a snowballs chance.

If he played 20 years ago, when the NFL was covering up the effects of head trauma in football he'd have a case.

    3. runcontrol

      runcontrol

The NFL has done everything they can do to cut down on concussions besides getting better helmets. All the time players talk about how the found better helmets. But at the same time Best had a concussion problem in college so he should have either looked into using these better helmets or left the NFL before he really got hurt like Ryan Swope did.

  23. The annual "there will be a NFL team in London" talk is upon us. Just maybe we get rid of Goodell, the new commissioner can end this playing in London BS.

      BmoreFanatic

If it brings in another 16 billion a year in funds I see it happening poescrows. Also they are doing it as a market. It didnt do so well 20 years ago. Remember Kurt Warner? He played for amsterdam. So to say it isnt that popular is changing. With our military abroad they will also have a chance to see "their team" in their local area as well IF they move. Now they might start a UK league. And the American Super bowl, and UK Super bowl winners might duke it out. I dont see chartering t...
